    Shivam Bhaje Movie Review
Cast: Ashwin Babu, Digangana Suryavanshi, Hyper Aadi, Arbaaz Khan, Murali Sharma, Tanikella Bharani, Brahmaji Director: Abdul Apsar Hussain Music: Vikas Badisa Editor: Chota K. Prasad Producer: Maheshwara Reddy Release Date: August 01, 2024 The latest film starring Ashwin Babu, who is the brother of well-known anchor and director Ohmkar, is titled 'Shivam Bhaje.' Digangana Suryavanshi plays the lead female role. Directed by Abdul Apsar Hussain, the movie also features notable actors such as Hyper Aadi, Arbaaz Khan, Murali Sharma, Tanikella Bharani, and Brahmaji in significant roles. The promotional materials, trailer, and teaser have significantly raised expectations for this film, which was released on August 1. Let's explore how the film fared and whether it succeeded in captivating the audience. Plot Chandu (Ashwin Babu) works as a loan recovery agent. During his job, he falls in love with Shailaja (Digangana Suryavanshi), who works in a chemical lab. Due to an incident, Chandu loses his sight. Following a dramatic event blessed by Lord Shiva, an operation restores his vision. However, after regaining his sight, Chandu begins to see various visuals. Whose eyes did Chandu receive? What are these visuals he sees? Why does a mere recovery agent end up fighting with enemy nations? What deed did Chandu perform with the grace of Lord Shiva? What role does Dogra (a dog) play in the story? To find out, one must watch the movie. Performances Ashwin Babu delivers a remarkable performance in the role of Chandu, showcasing great versatility across two dimensions. Digangana Suryavanshi captivates the audience as Shailaja. The chemistry between Ashwin and Digangana is effectively established. Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan impresses in his role as a police officer, and comedian Hyper Aadi elicits laughter with his impeccable timing. Seasoned actors Brahmanandam and Murali Sharma mesmerize with their performances, while other actors adequately fulfill their roles. Direction Director Abdul Apsar Hussain commendable intertwines mystery and devotional elements. Some suspense scenes in this crime drama are quite engaging. The storyline woven around international espionage also pleases, though the screenplay falters at times. The narrative could have been presented more effectively on screen. The subplot involving murders seems rather weak. Chandu's character could have been made more powerful. Some scenes lack logical coherence. The slow pace of the story and a lack of engaging elements in the first half are drawbacks. Unrelated scenes test the audience's patience. Technically On the technical front, Dasarathi Shivendra’s cinematography is impressive. He beautifully presents key scenes, especially in the second half. Vikas Badisa’s music is decent. Chota K. Prasad’s editing is also commendable. The production values are high. Plus Points - Ashwin Babu’s acting - Suspense scenes - Climax Minus Points - Slow narration - Lack of engaging elements - Irrelevant scenes Rating by Telugu.yousay.tv: 2.5/5

‘Adiparvam’ Movie Review: Manchu Lakshmi Shines in a Gritty Fantasy Drama—But Does It Live Up to Expectations?
‘Adiparvam’ Movie Review: Manchu Lakshmi Shines in a Gritty Fantasy Drama—But Does It Live Up to Expectations?
Cast: Manchu Lakshmi, Aditya Om, Esther Norhana, Suhasini, Srijita Ghosh, Shiva Kanthamneni, Venkat Kiran, Satya Prakash, Sammeta Gandhi, Gemini Suresh, Delhi Rajeshwari, Harry Josh, Jabardasth Gaddam Naveen, and others. Written and Directed by: Sanjeev Megoti   Music: Madhavi Saib   Cinematography: S.N. Harish   Editing: Pavan Shekhar Pasupuleti   Production Companies: Anvika Arts, AI (America India) Entertainment   Movies like ‘Ammoru’ and ‘Arundhati’ set a high bar in the Telugu fantasy genre. Since Arundhati, there hasn’t been a fantasy drama with a similar impact in Tollywood. Now, 'Adiparvam,' starring Manchu Lakshmi and directed by Sanjeev Megoti, steps into that genre. With Aditya Om, Ester, and Suhasini in key roles, the film has just been released. Let’s see if ‘Adiparvam’ meets the expectations and if Manchu Lakshmi has delivered a memorable performance. Plot Locals near the Erragudi temple in Kadapa believe hidden treasures lie within it. They think that whoever claims these treasures will become the wealthiest person in Rayalaseema. Nagamma (Manchu Lakshmi), an MLA, is determined to acquire it by any means, even turning to dark powers. Meanwhile, Rayappa, a village elder, also wants the treasure. How far will Rayappa and Nagamma go to obtain this wealth? Why does Rayappa want to sacrifice his own daughter Bujamma (Srijita)? Why does Nagamma want her dead too? How does the village deity Maremma (Suhasini) intervene to stop their wicked ways? Does Nagamma ultimately fulfill her desire for the treasure? And what happens to the love story of Bujamma and Srinu (Venkat Kiran)? This is the crux of the story. Performance Direction Sanjeev Megoti based this movie on real events that occurred between 1974 and 1990. The story highlights the extremes people go to for personal gain, even contemplating the sacrifice of their own children. The sequences showing the consequences faced by the selfish characters pursuing the treasure are captivating. The portrayal of Maremma’s protection of the sacred treasure and her support for the faithful are well-executed. The conflict between divine and dark powers is engaging, and the director also depicts the love story of Bujamma and Srinu well. However, the predictable storyline, exaggerated drama, and lack of quality in the graphics weaken the movie. Technical Aspects On the technical side (Adiparvam Movie Review), the cinematography by Harish is commendable, with well-captured visuals. The music adds depth, with the background score enhancing scenes significantly. The editing could have been tighter, especially in the first half, and the graphics quality could have been better. The production values are strong. Positives - Manchu Lakshmi’s performance   - Battle between divine and evil powers   - Cinematography   Negatives - Predictable storyline   - Low-quality graphics   - Slow-paced scenes   Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 2.5/5

Telugu Mind-Bender 'Rahasyam Idham Jagath' Takes on Hollywood! 🌀 Time Travel Meets Sri Chakra in This American-Shot Thriller
Telugu Mind-Bender 'Rahasyam Idham Jagath' Takes on Hollywood! 🌀 Time Travel Meets Sri Chakra in This American-Shot Thriller
Cast: Rakesh Galebhe, Sravanthi Pattipati, Manasa Veena, Bhargav Gopinatham, Karthik Khandal, Aadi Naidu, Shiva Juturi, and others Director: Komal R. Bharadwaj Music: Gyani Cinematography: Taylor Blumel Editor: Chota K. Prasad Producers: Hiranya, Padma, Komal R. Bharadwaj Release Date: November 8, 2024 'Rahasyam Idham Jagath' stars Rakesh Galebhe, Sravanthi Pattipati, Manasa Veena, Bhargav Gopinatham, and others in key roles. Produced by Padma and Hiranya Ravinuthala under Single Cell Universe Production and directed by Komal R. Bharadwaj, the movie hit theaters today (November 8). Promoted as a film featuring elements of time travel and a multi-universe concept, let’s find out how this film fares. What's the Story The story takes place in America. Akira (Sravanthi) and her boyfriend Abhi (Rakesh) plan a trip to India. Before leaving, they decide to go on a trip with old friends (Vishwa, Kalyan, and Aru). They end up in a remote forest village where Akira’s ex, Vishwa, also joins them. Due to heavy snowfall, they are forced to stay the night in a local hotel. One of Akira’s friends, Aru, a scientist, is researching the concept of the multi-universe. A fight ensues, and Abhi ends up killing Akira and Kalyan. At this point, Aru reveals that there is a way to the multi-universe in the village. Desperate to bring his friends back to life, Abhi starts searching for a wormhole to the multi-universe. What happens next? Does Abhi find the wormhole? Can he save his friends? Do Abhi and Akira end up going to India? This is the story. Performance  Rakesh, known for his hit short films, shines as the lead, particularly in his scenes traveling through the wormhole. Sravanthi impresses as Akira, while Aru fits well in the role of the scientist. Bhargav provides some laughs, and Karthik performs well in a negative role. The fact that the entire shoot took place in America, with training influenced by Hollywood, is evident in the actors' performances. The rest of the cast delivered well within their roles. Direction Director Komal R. Bharadwaj seems to have drawn inspiration from Hollywood films like Inception and Interstellar. However, he creatively connects these concepts with events from Indian mythology to resonate with the local audience. The way he links the multi-universe to the Sri Chakra and the wormhole is intriguing. The first half is mostly about the friends’ trip and conflicts, with the multi-universe element introduced right before the interval. In the second half, Abhi’s search for the wormhole and his time travel to save his friends are depicted. The interval scene and climax add strength to the film. However, the heavy use of American actors, the Hollywood-inspired scenes, and dialogues that lack a local touch are notable drawbacks. Technical Aspects Technically, the film stands out with its impressive visuals and cinematography, especially in the forest locations. However, the background music often overpowers the dialogues. The songs are decent, though dubbing could have been more refined. Production values are high, complementing the film’s theme well. Kanguva and Matka Fall Flat: Suriya and Varun Tej's Films Struggle at the Box Office
Kanguva and Matka Fall Flat: Suriya and Varun Tej's Films Struggle at the Box Office
This week, only two films were released in theaters. One is 'Kanguva', starring Tamil star Suriya, and the other is 'Matka', featuring Mega hero Varun Tej. Released amidst high expectations, both films disappointed the audience and flopped at the box office in Telugu states with dismal openings. The collections were shockingly less than half of what was expected. How much did these movies collect on the first day? What were the reasons for their flop? Let’s take a look. Kanguva Collections The film 'Kanguva', directed by Shiva with Kollywood star Suriya, was compared to 'Baahubali' and promoted on a pan-India scale, raising high expectations. Released worldwide grandly on Thursday (November 14), 'Kanguva' initially received negative feedback from the premieres. Consequently, the first-day collections fell short of expectations. Trade sources reported that the film grossed Rs. 40 crores worldwide on the first day, with Rs. 12 crores from Tamil Nadu alone and Rs. 4 crores from the Hindi belt. It is noteworthy that the movie only managed to collect Rs. 6 crores in the Telugu states, where Suriya has a good market. The movie team expected over Rs. 100 crores on the first day but didn’t even make half of that, which was a significant setback. These collections were also primarily from advance bookings, and it is anticipated that the collections will drop further from today. Where did 'Kanguva' go wrong? Director Shiva crafted 'Kanguva' by connecting a centuries-old folk tale to the present era. Despite choosing a strong storyline, he completely failed to present it meaningfully. The initial 20 minutes tested the patience of the audience, and even after (Kanguva Review) the character Kanguva appeared on screen, it failed to engage. The introduction of five clans—Pranavakona, Kapala Kona, Sagar Kona, Aranyakona, and Hima Kona—created a confusing atmosphere, and no clan connected with the audience. The loud dialogues of every character only added to the viewer’s irritation. However, Suriya’s performance in the roles of Francis and Kanguva, and Bobby Deol's villainy as Rudhira brought some life to the film. Matka’s openings were even worse 'Matka', directed by Karuna Kumar with Mega Prince Varun Tej and Meenakshi Chaudhary, also opened on Thursday to negative reviews. As a result, the first-day collections were shockingly low. Trade circles announced that the film only managed to gross Rs. 1.2 crores worldwide, with barely (Matka Review) Rs. 80 lakhs to Rs. 1 crore from the two Telugu states. The occupancy on the first day was less than 20%. The trade circles were also surprised by such a low response to a film released with great expectations. Reasons for 'Matka’s' flop Director Karuna Kumar chose a very routine story for 'Matka'. 'A young man with no significant background establishes a large criminal empire' is a plot that has been seen many times before. While the story itself might have been acceptable, the conflict between the characters in the movie was completely lacking. The hero’s rise felt overly cinematic and did not seem natural. There were no real challenges faced by the hero. The efforts of the CBI to capture Vasu, who became a national threat, were not at all interesting. The strategies of the adversaries to defeat him were very weak. Apart from Varun Tej's acting, there was not a single impressive point in the movie, according to the audience who watched it.

Kanguva Movie Review: Suriya's Epic Tale of Reincarnation, Revenge, and Ancient Battles – A Visual Spectacle
Kanguva Movie Review: Suriya's Epic Tale of Reincarnation, Revenge, and Ancient Battles – A Visual Spectacle
Cast: Suriya, Disha Patani, Bobby Deol, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Prakash Raj, K.S. Ravikumar, Harish Uthaman, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, among others. Director: Shiva Music: Devi Sri Prasad Cinematography: Vetri Palaniswamy Editing: Nishaad Yusuf Producers: K.E. Gnanavel, Vamshi Pramod Release Date: 14-11-2024 The Tamil actor Suriya stars in the most anticipated film 'Kanguva,' directed by Shiva. This film, also featuring Bollywood actress Disha Patani and Bobby Deol, is produced by K.E. Gnanavel Raja and Vamshi Pramod with a massive budget of ₹350 crores. Released across India on November 14th, the film aims for box office collections of ₹1000 crores. Let's find out how the film fares and whether it has lived up to the audience's expectations and added another success to Suriya’s account. Plot Francis (Suriya) works as a bounty hunter in Goa, with his girlfriend Disha Patani and friend Yogi Babu assisting him. One day, a child approaches Francis feeling a mysterious connection to him, which he senses might be from a past life. What is this ancient connection with the child that dates back a thousand years? Who really is Kanguva? What battles did he fight as a fierce leader? What threats did his tribe face from the villain (Bobby Deol)? How did Kanguva save his tribe from the villain? To uncover these mysteries, one must watch the movie. Performance Analysis Tamil superstar Suriya has delivered a stellar performance in this film, impressing in both the roles of Francis and Kanguva. The effort he has put into the role of Kanguva is evident on screen, especially during the battle scenes, showcasing his formidable presence. His body language, dialogue delivery, and expression of emotions are all on point. Bobby Deol as the villain has delivered a powerful performance, matching Suriya's intensity. Disha Patani brings glamour to the film, and her chemistry with Francis’s character works well. Comedian Yogi Babu provides comic relief. Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, K.S. Ravikumar, and Harish Uthaman have significant roles and contribute well within their capacities. Direction Director Shiva has crafted 'Kanguva' with a novel storyline. The film starts slowly as it introduces Francis's character and takes time to develop. A small girl enters Francis's life, linking back to a past life, which interestingly steers the plot. From Kanguva’s entry, the true narrative begins. The director has engagingly depicted tribal life and conflicts from a thousand years ago. The twist at the interval raises expectations for the second half, which is filled with twists and action sequences that make the story even more gripping. The climax is sure to give everyone goosebumps. However, the slow-paced narrative and underdeveloped emotions, along with a somewhat weak villain character, might be seen as drawbacks. Technically... On the technical front, all departments have performed well, especially the VFX team, which has provided excellent output for the film. The cinematography is impressive. The music by Devi Sri Prasad is a major asset to the film, with both songs and background score enhancing the cinematic experience. The production values are high, and every scene is richly crafted. Strengths Suriya’s actingAction sequencesMusic Weaknesses Slow-paced narrativeLack of strong emotions Rating by Telugu.yousay.tv: 3/5

Shocking! Small Film 'Pottel' Beats Jr NTR's 400-Crore 'Devara' in Fan Reviews
Shocking! Small Film 'Pottel' Beats Jr NTR's 400-Crore 'Devara' in Fan Reviews
Ananya Nagalla and Yuva Chandra starred in the latest film "Pottel," directed by Saahith Mothkuri, who was introduced as a director with the movie "Savaari." Recently, "Pottel" has garnered a level of publicity that small films rarely achieve. Released last Friday (October 25), the film has been receiving positive responses from audiences. Viewers commented that the film reflects very natural and real-life scenarios from the past. In this context, a viewer’s comment comparing "Devara" to "Pottel" has gone viral on the internet. 'Much better than Devara' The film "Devara," directed by Koratala Shiva starring Jr. NTR, was recently released and created a tsunami of collections, grossing over Rs. 400 crores at the box office. Top-notch music director Anirudh worked on this film. A viewer’s comment comparing "Pottel" to "Devara" has been trending online. A YouTuber who went to the theater showing "Pottel" tried to gather audience opinions. In the process, he stopped the audience coming out of the theater and asked how the movie was. The viewer expressed in the video that he liked "Pottel" much better than "Devara." Are smaller films better than big films? The YouTuber asked, to which he reiterated the viewer’s opinion that "Pottel" is better than "Devara." This video is currently going viral. https://twitter.com/i/status/1849871631818293722 Content is king Regardless of whether it’s a big or small film, Telugu audiences appreciate good content, which is exactly what is happening with "Pottel." This low-budget film with a solid story is captivating the audience. Recent films like "Aay," "Committee Kurrollu," and "Mathu Vadalara 2" also achieved success in the same way, despite not having big stars or big budgets. However, the Telugu audience embraced even "Devara." Yet, it is intriguing that the viewer expressed a preference for "Pottel" over "Devara." What is "Pottel" about? Director Saahith Mothkuri has depicted the rural backdrop of the 1980s in "Pottel," transporting the audience back in time right from the beginning. In the first 20 minutes, he immerses the audience in village life, showing how the lower and vulnerable classes were oppressed and subjected to severe hardship. The film’s approach to caste, religion, and egotistical distinctions between big and small has become a major attraction. The introduction of characters, the love story between the hero and heroine, and other scenes beautifully set up the first half. The second part seems a bit faltering where the director over-emphasized the villain harming the main characters to evoke emotions, leading to scenes that stray from logic. However, the director succeeded in connecting the audience with the underlying message of the story. Plot  The story unfolds in Gurramgadda village, located at the borders of Maharashtra and Telangana. The villagers conduct a festival for the village deity Balamma once in every cycle and offer sacrifices. It is believed that during this time, the deity possesses Patel (Ajay), the village head, who then prevents the villagers from progressing, particularly in education. On the other side, Pedda Gangadhari (Yuva Chandra) serves as the keeper of the sacrificial animals and secretly educates his daughter. When Patel finds out, he makes the sacrificial animal disappear. He threatens to sacrifice Gangadhari’s daughter if the animal isn’t found by the festival. What does Gangadhari do to save his daughter? Is he able to bring back the animal? What role does Bujjamma (Ananya Nagalla) play in this story? https://telugu.yousay.tv/en/pottel-movie-review-rangasthalam-level-telugu-film-sandeep-reddy-vangas-bold-comparison-ananyas-de-glam-avatar-shocks-but-second-half-disappoints.html

Kali Movie Review: Prince and Naresh Agastya Shine in a Gripping Yet Flawed Drama
Kali Movie Review: Prince and Naresh Agastya Shine in a Gripping Yet Flawed Drama
Cast: Prince, Naresh Agastya, Neha Krishnan, C.V.L. Narasimha Rao, Mani Chandana, Kedar Shankar, Madhumani, Gundu Sudarshan, and others Director: Shiva Shesha Music: Jeevan Babu Cinematographer: Ramana Jagarlamudi Editor: Vijay Vardhan Kavuri Producer: T. Leela Goutham Release Date: 04-10-2024 The latest film starring Prince and Naresh Agastya is 'Kali', directed by Shiva Shesha. Neha Krishnan, C.V.L. Narasimha Rao, Mani Chandana, Kedar Shankar, and Madhumani also play significant roles. This film, developed with a unique concept, was released to the audience on October 4. Let's see how the movie is and whether it captivated the Telugu audience in this review. What's the Story? Shivaram (Prince) is a professor at a university who never refuses to help anyone. This quality endears him to Veda (Neha Krishnan), who falls in love with him and confronts her family to marry him. However, Shivaram's goodwill is exploited by his own family members, who conspire to take his property. Betrayed by his brother and uncle, Shivaram becomes deeply disillusioned and attempts suicide, wishing not to be reborn as a human. At this critical moment, Kali Purusha (Naresh Agastya) makes his entry. Just as Shivaram is about to commit suicide, Kali Purusha rings the calling bell and saves him. What changes does Kali bring into Shivaram’s life? What is the connection between Shivaram’s life and the era of Kali? To find out, one must go to the theaters. How Did They Perform? In a refreshing new role as Shivaram, Prince excels with settled acting. Even in scenes without dialogue, his expressions were enough to impress. He made an effort to define himself as an actor by intensifying the scenes. Naresh Agastya shone as Kali, captivating with his stylish performance. The film primarily revolves around these two characters. Neha Krishnan was compelling as Veda within the limits of her role. Other cast members also justified their roles. How's the Direction? Director Shiva Shesha made an attempt to convey that suicide is not a solution to problems and that it is the real problem through this film. Although he chose a message-oriented narrative, he did not neglect commercial elements. He made the story engaging by blending suspense and thriller elements effectively. The movie starts with Shivaram’s background, his family life, love track, and betrayal by family members. The director sped up the story with the arrival of Agastya as Kali. The way Agastya questions Shivaram and tries to show him his mistakes is appealing. The scenes that instill a will to live are spectacular, especially the interactions between Prince and Naresh Agastya. However, the story might feel dragged and centered too much around two characters, and the lack of comedy could be seen as a downside. Technically On the technical front, the music is a major strength. Jeevan Babu's background score notably elevates the scenes. The editing could have been sharper. The cinematography is good, and the visuals are rich. The production values are also high, befitting the film. Plus Points Story Acting by Prince and Agastya Music Minus Points Dragged scenes Editing Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 2.5/5

"Hide N Seek" Review: A Gripping Crime Thriller with Unexpected Twists and Turns
"Hide N Seek" Review: A Gripping Crime Thriller with Unexpected Twists and Turns
Cast: Viswant Duddumpudi, Shilpa Manjunath, Rhea Sachdeva, Tejaswini Naidu, Viva Raghav, Sumanth Varela, and others. Written and Directed by: Basireddy Rana Music by: Lijo K. Jose Editor: Amar Reddy Kudumula Producer: Narendra Buchireddygari Release Date: September 20, 2024 Viswant Duddumpudi, known from movies like 'Kerintha' and 'Manamantha', is now featured in the film 'Hide N Seek'. Produced under the banner of Sahasra Entertainments by Narendra Buchireddygari and directed by Basireddy Rana, this film has raised expectations with its teasers and trailers. Released in theaters this Friday (September 20), let’s see how much it managed to entertain the audience. What is the Story About? The story unfolds in the backdrop of Kurnool. Shiva (Viswant Duddumpudi) is a medical student aspiring to become an army doctor. He is in love with Varsha (Rhea Sachdeva), who studies in the same college. In the meantime, a series of inexplicable murders start shaking up the city. A delivery boy is inexplicably beaten to death with a rod. Similar baseless murders spread fear across the city. To solve these serial murder mysteries, police officer Vaishnavi (Shilpa Manjunath) steps into the scene. However, Shiva discovers clues that even the police can't seem to find, leading them to suspect him as the psycho killer. Who framed Shiva in these murders? Who is behind these serial killings? To uncover these mysteries, one must watch the movie. How Did They Perform? Young actor Viswant Duddumpudi delivers an excellent performance in the role of Shiva, showcasing his emotional depth well. Kannada actress Shilpa Manjunath looks convincing as a sincere police officer, carefully matching her Telugu dialogues. Rhea Sachdeva, playing the heroine, is limited to a few scenes. Actor Saksi Shiv adds great value to his negative character with his deep voice and compelling acting, making a significant impact. Other actors performed adequately within their roles. How is the Direction? Director Basireddy Rana successfully crafts this film as an investigative crime thriller. From the opening scene to the end, he manages to keep the audience glued to their seats. The screenplay is gripping, especially from the first murder to the climax, presenting unforeseeable twists. The way characters are designed and integrated into the story is impressive, with an intriguing link to ancient stories. However, placing this modern warfare in a small city like Kurnool doesn't seem entirely convincing. The film struggles to establish the extent of youth addiction to gaming, and sometimes the portrayal of human emotions falls flat. Overall, the film will appeal to fans of crime investigation movies. Technically Speaking Technically, the cinematography is commendable. Lijo K. Jose’s background music is a significant plus, enhancing the suspense elements effectively. The editing is adequate, and the production values are quite good. Plus Points - Viswant Duddumpudi’s acting - Novelty in the story - Thrilling elements Minus Points - Weak drama - Some unclear scenes Rating by Telugu.yousay.tv: 2.5/5
