SHOCKING: 'Devara' Director Koratala Siva Under Fire - Blockbuster Sea Sequence Allegedly Copied from Korean Film; Shankar Hints at Legal Action Over Story Rights!
Directed by Koratala Siva and starring Jr. NTR, 'Devara: Part 1' has created a storm at the box office, becoming the biggest hit of Tarak's career. The sea fight sequence in particular has thrilled audiences, and Koratala Siva's creativity has been widely praised. However, there's a growing controversy online suggesting that these were not entirely Siva's original ideas, but rather direct copies from a Korean film. Here's the video that's trending as evidence.
What Actually Happened?
The introduction and interval scenes in 'Devara' are so dynamic that they're bound to give anyone goosebumps. No one expected a Telugu director to execute such an elaborate action sequence at sea. The film features a scene where the hero, along with his gang, goes to a ship to steal weapons, dumping the gun-filled crates into the sea. Members of the hero's gang, already stationed in small boats, then retrieve these crates to smuggle them past the naval officers. Yet, netizens are surprised to find a strikingly similar scene in a Korean movie, accusing director Koratala Siva of plagiarism. Audiences are mocking the director for fooling them, urging everyone to check out the Korean movie scene.

That Scene Too!
It's known that Tarak plays a dual role in 'Devara.' Initially, as part of the villain's gang, 'Devara' participates in smuggling for some compelling reasons but later turns good. Meanwhile, he also instills fear among his peers against smuggling. The director showcases a sequence with chairs filled with knives along the coast. However, this scene has also been accused of being copied, with claims that it closely resembles a scene from the Hollywood film 'Vikings.'

Is the Story of Devara Also Copied?
There were extensive promotions before the release of 'Devara' claiming that its story was adapted from a copyrighted novel. Tamil director Shankar recently accused that he saw key scenes from his copyrighted novel being used in a film, stressing that creators should respect rights and avoid copying without permission, warning of legal actions. However, Shankar did not clarify which film he referred to. But, the buzz on social media suggests that the story of 'Devara' closely mirrors the Tamil novel 'Veera Yug Nayagan,' for which Shankar holds the rights.
Similar Accusations in the Past
This is not the first time Koratala Siva has faced plagiarism accusations. He was also heavily criticized during the release of 'Srimanthudu' with Mahesh Babu. Writer Sharath Chandra even took the matter to court, claiming his story was copied. The issue had created a sensation across the Telugu states back then. In 2012, Sharath had published his story 'Chachentha Prema' in Swati Monthly, and while he was planning to adapt it into a film, he accused Koratala Siva of making 'Srimanthudu' based on his story.

Devara Runtime Sparks Debate: Is Koratala Siva Taking a Risk?
The movie 'Devara,' directed by Koratala Siva and starring NTR, is being released in two parts. Part 1 is set to release on the 27th of this month. Recently, the censor formalities for 'Devara' were completed, and the movie's runtime has been fixed by the censor board members. The lengthy runtime has sparked new tensions among fans, with comments circulating online questioning if the Devara team is knowingly taking a risk. Let's explore the reasons behind this.
Censor Clear
The movie 'Devara,' starring Jr. NTR and Bollywood beauty Janhvi Kapoor as the heroine, has completed its censor formalities. The censor board has issued a U/A certificate and fixed the filmās duration at 2 hours and 57 minutes. This means Devara is nearly three hours long, a substantial runtime. However, due to the extensive action sequences and the need to establish the story, the makers have decided on a longer duration.
Are They Knowingly Taking a Risk?
Film analysts opine that bringing 'Devara' with almost three hours of runtime is a significant risk. Keeping the audience engaged for three hours is not trivial. Any lag in the story or unnecessary scenes could negatively impact the film, as evidenced by several previous releases. Even if the story is compelling, the lengthy runtime has hurt those films. Therefore, there's a warning that even slight miscalculations in 'Devara' could lead to significant setbacks. Some of Tarak's fans are also expressing concerns about the runtime online.
Films Hurt by Long Run Times!
Recent releases like 'Bharateeyudu2', 'Tiger Nageswara Rao', and 'Ante Sundaraniki' came to the audience with longer durations and received flop talks. Apart from 'Bharateeyudu 2', the other two films had good content but failed to impress due to the extended duration. In 'Tiger Nageswara Rao', even though Ravi Teja delivered a strong performance, the length made it feel dragged. The same happened with 'Ante Sundaraniki', which despite a unique concept about the problems arising in a romance between individuals of different faiths, was criticized for feeling like a serial due to its length.
The Burden on Koratala!
If Koratala Siva can work his magic as he did in his past films, then the runtime might not be an issue. If he perfectly blends Tarakās acting with the story, narrative, and production, the runtime of 'Devara' could turn into a big plus. Observing Koratala Siva's previous works like 'Mirchi', 'Bharat Ane Nenu', 'Janatha Garage', and 'Srimanthudu', one can appreciate his directorial skills. He has been successful in creating compelling drama and screenplay around simple storylines. If 'Devara' can repeat this magic, fans have a reason to rejoice. His recent works and past successes suggest that if 'Devara' can maintain this magic, it will be unstoppable.
Rajamouli's Flop Fear!
Another fear accompanying 'Devara' is the alleged curse following actors who work with the legendary director Rajamouli, experiencing massive flops in their subsequent films. This pattern was noted with Ravi Teja, Prabhas, and Ram Charan. Despite hits like 'Student No.1' and 'Simhadri', Tarakās films post those were disasters, like 'Subbu' and 'Andhrawala', leaving indelible marks on his career. Given that Tarak's last film 'RRR' was under Rajamouli's direction, thereās apprehension about 'Devara'. Fans are anxious whether this sentiment will repeat, yet there's hope that 'Devara' will break this pattern.

'Devara' Sets a New Record, Surpassing 'RRR' at the Box Office ā Jr NTRās Reign Continues!
Directed by Koratala Siva and featuring Jr NTR as the hero, the film 'Devara: Part 1' is creating a storm at the box office. Despite being released 18 days ago, the film's momentum hasn't slowed down. It broke even in all areas shortly after release and continues to perform strongly. Even though there was some negative talk on the first day, it did not impact the collections. Having already set several records, the film recently achieved another milestone by surpassing the record set by Rajamouliās 'RRR'. Moreover, it accomplished a feat that even global star Prabhas hasnāt achieved yet.
A New Chapter in Telugu Cinema!
The film 'Devara', starring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, has set another box office record. In 18 days since its release, it has consistently brought in more than a crore each day in AP and Telangana. This film has become the first Telugu film post-COVID to achieve such a feat, a record previously held by 'RRR' for 17 consecutive days of similar earnings. Now, Jr NTR's impact has broken that record. Reports suggest that even Prabhas' recent films (Radhe Shyam, Adipurush, Salaar, Kalki 2898 AD) did not achieve this milestone, highlighting Tarakās strong pull at the box office.

Has the Streaming Date Been Set?
Netflix has acquired the digital streaming rights to 'Devara' for a substantial amount. With 18 days past since the filmās theatrical release, everyone is eagerly awaiting its OTT release. The latest buzz suggests that 'Devara' might hit OTT as a Diwali treat. An official announcement is expected soon. If it doesnāt happen by Diwali, the release is likely in the second week of November. Netflix secured the rights for ā¹150 crores, with a contract to stream the movie 50 days post-theatrical release.
'NTR 31' Loading!
Following the blockbuster success of 'Devara: Part 1', it is known that Jr NTR will collaborate with Prashanth Neel in the upcoming 'NTR 31'. Tarak will reportedly play a farmer from Bangladesh, with the entire story set against a Bangladeshi backdrop. In this context, the film team is busy with promotions. Recently, they released the trailer in Mumbai. Following that, the 'Devara' team conducted a chit-chat session with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the director of 'Animal'. The latest promo related to this has just been released. Tarak responded in his own style to the questions posed by Sandeep.
Funny Chit-Chat
The 'Devara' team held a chit-chat session with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, director of 'Animal'. The film unit released the latest promo for this session. The session saw participation from Tarak, Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, and Koratala Siva. Sandeep Reddy Vanga asked some very interesting questions. The promo started with Sandeepās dialogue, "It definitely seems scary. I think I should ask a lot. Who will start?" In response, Tarak spoke about the action drama 'Devara', mentioning that the mass elements would thrill the audience. On the other hand, Koratala Siva shared about their long-standing friendship with Tarak. Janhvi then threw some punches at Sandeep, urging him to reveal the entire movie story. Sandeep jokingly commented on the film's runtime, to which Tarak asked about the runtime of 'Animal', and Sandeep Reddy Vanga replied with a laugh, saying it was 3 hours and 24 minutes. Mahesh Babu for 'Devara' Pre-Release?
There is strong speculation online that Mahesh Babu will attend the pre-release event of 'Devara'. It is discussed that director Koratala Siva has invited Mahesh to the event. However, Mahesh has yet to make a final decision on this. There is a possibility that clarity will emerge soon. Mahesh and director Koratala share a good rapport, having delivered successful films like 'Srimanthudu' and 'Bharat Ane Nenu'. Film circles suggest that Mahesh is likely to attend, which would significantly boost expectations for 'Devara'.
Event in Hyderabad
The makers are planning to conduct the pre-release event of the film 'Devara' on September 22 in Hyderabad. Initially, there was consideration to hold the event in Andhra Pradesh, but finally, Hyderabad was chosen. Meanwhile, the trailer of 'Devara' was released this week. The action-packed trailer has received a positive response, increasing the hype for the film. NTR's action and Koratala's direction were highlights of the trailer, and Anirudh Ravichander's background music was also well-received.
Tarak in Sandeep's Movie!
News is making rounds online about the upcoming movie 'Spirit', directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Prabhas. There is speculation that Tarak will appear as the antagonist in this movie. The suggestion for Tarak to play the villain in 'Spirit' came from Sandeep himself, given the impact Tarak can bring to such roles, as demonstrated in his film 'Jai Lava Kusa' where he played a character with negative shades. If Tarak agrees, the expectations for 'Spirit' are sure to rise significantly.

Devara Box Office Rampage: Jr NTRās Latest Film Nears ā¹500 Crore Mark in Just 10 Days!
The recent film featuring Jr NTR and directed by Koratala Siva, 'Devara: Part 1,' released worldwide on September 27, has secured a solid victory at the box office. Despite mixed initial reviews, the film showed remarkable strength in its collections, setting records from the very first day. Having completed 10 days since its release, the producers have officially announced the collections, and the figures have left everyone astounded, commenting on the unrelenting rampage of Devara.
[toc]
Approaching ā¹500 Crore...
In 'Devara,' Tarak was paired with Janhvi Kapoor, and Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan played the villain. In terms of collections, the film has grossed ā¹466 crore worldwide within these 10 days. The makers have released a special poster to announce this achievement. With blockbuster collections, the movie continues to perform well in theaters. In the Telugu states alone, the film grossed ā¹193.55 crore, with Karnataka contributing ā¹16.40 crore, Tamil Nadu ā¹4 crore, Kerala ā¹92 lakhs, and the rest of India, including Hindi regions, adding ā¹29.80 crore. If this momentum continues, Devara is likely to hit the ā¹500 crore mark over this weekend.
First Day and Weekend Collections
The Devara movie, starring NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, grossed over ā¹172 crore on its opening day. It collected approximately ā¹83.71 crore in the two Telugu states alone, making it the second film to achieve such high collections after 'RRR'. By the end of the first weekend, Devara had already reached the ā¹300 crore mark, with a total of ā¹304 crore grossed in just three days. Although collections gradually decreased thereafter, the film still managed to turn profitable for the distributors. With no major releases last week, Devara faced no significant competition this weekend, likely easing its path to the ā¹500 crore mark.
Profits from Sunday
By the end of the second Saturday (September 5) shows, Devara had crossed the break-even point in almost all areas. From Sunday onwards, all collections are profits. The Dussehra holidays and the lack of other major releases provide a big advantage for Devara. The film's collections are also stable overseas. According to trade circles, Devara has started making profits in many regions including Kerala, Karnataka, Hindi-speaking areas, and the rest of India. This has brought immense joy to both the Devara team and Tarak's fans.

Devara: Taruvatha taraniki cheppukunetantha kathalu kavuraa.. mee nayanavi. Maa nayanollaavi desam kosam poraadina veerula kathalu. Maavi.. evariki cheppukoleni cheekati kathalu, batikunnamane gani, bhavitaraalaku kathaluga cheppukunelaa ee batukulu marutaayo ledo maakuda teliyadu.
The dialogues in the scene where Devara first confronts the arms dealers are powerful.

"Maa ayudhalu manchini chedu nunchi kaapadatanki puttay.. Mee ayudhalu manchini champadanki puttay."
Villain: Maatalu ekkuva avutunnay, samudram ekkala, samudram elala?
The dialogue NTR delivers when Konda in Devara's gang turns against them is superb.

Before the interval bang, there is an action sequence with NTR. Devara kills everyone who attacks him, turning the sea red with their blood. Then, the dialogues Devara writes on a rock really pack a punch.

The conversation between NTR and Janhvi Kapoor when they first meet each other is romantic.

Tangam: "Abbo appude maa ayyato matlaadedaka poyinava?
Eeroju naaku oopiri aagipoyela undi.

During the weapon worship, when the villain (Saif Ali Khan) belittles young NTR after drugging him, the dialogue spoken by Rayappa (Srikanth) is powerful.

'Devara' Box Office Rampage: Jr NTR's Latest Breaks Records with Rs. 300 Crore Weekend!
The film 'Devara,' directed by Koratala Siva and starring Jr NTR, was released worldwide on a grand scale this Friday (September 27). Despite mixed reviews, the overall reception has been positive. 'Devara' is being showcased to packed houses in all theaters. Audiences are praising Jr NTR's performance, Anirudh's music, and Koratala Siva's dialogues, contributing to a first-day collection of over Rs. 172 crores, demonstrating its box office strength. By the end of the weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), let's see how much the film has collected.
How much are the weekend collections?
Starring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, 'Devara' has created a storm at the box office. Three days post-release, the film shows no signs of slowing down in collections. Over the weekend, it grossed a staggering Rs. 304 crores (GROSS), officially announced by the makers through a poster. This news has left Tarak's fans ecstatic as 'Devara' continues its rampage at the box office. Already part of the 300 crore club, trade circles predict it will easily hit Rs. 500 crores by the end of the week.
Region-wise performance
The makers of 'Devara' have only announced worldwide collections. However, trade circles have attempted to estimate region-wise earnings. According to their data, in the two Telugu states, 'Devara' garnered Rs. 126.5 crores over three days. It collected Rs. 38.77 crores in Nizam alone and Rs. 17.90 crores in the Ceded region. In Karnataka, it earned Rs. 20.9 crores, in Tamil Nadu Rs. 5.9 crores, in Kerala Rs. 1.4 crores, and Rs. 35.3 crores in the rest of India. Overseas, it is reported to have made over Rs. 65 crores, marking the highest collections in Tarak's career.
Day 1 collections set new records!
'Devara' has set a record for the highest day 1 collections in Jr NTRās career as a solo hero. On its first day, it grossed over Rs. 172 crores worldwide, as officially announced by the makers with a special poster. This is a significant achievement post-'RRR' in Tarak's career. Trade circles reported that it made Rs. 83.71 crores on the first day in the two Telugu states alone, with Rs. 19.32 crores coming from Nizam, making it the second all-time highest after 'RRR'.
Reasons for Devara's success!
'Devara' introduces a new world called 'Erra Samudram' created by director Koratala Siva. The film showcases Tarak in a one-man show, delivering exceptional performances as both Devara and his son Vara. Saif Ali Khan, playing the villain, also captivated audiences. Anirudhās background score has been a major strength for the film, especially in action sequences. Director Koratala Siva impressed with his screenplay and dialogues. The way the action sequences were crafted, the interval bang, and the climax provided great entertainment. However, slow scenes and a weak love track could be seen as drawbacks.
Devara's Story

Devara Promotions: Are Devara Promotions Not Heading in the Right Direction? Is Tollywood Being Neglected?
The movie "Devara," directed by star director Koratala Siva and starring the 'Man of Masses' Tarak, has created a Pan-India buzz. Following a global hit like 'RRR,' Tarak's new film has been eagerly awaited by both his fans and cinema lovers. With the film set to release on September 27, the Devara team is busy with promotions. However, the focus on the North Indian market has led to dissatisfaction among the Telugu audience. So far, none of the promotional events for Devara have originated from the Telugu states, raising concerns that the Devara team is neglecting Tollywood.
Trolls on Chennai Promotions
As part of its promotions, the Devara team landed in Chennai on Tuesday (September 17). The event featured Tarak, along with actress Janhvi Kapoor, director Koratala Siva, music director Anirudh, and Tamil actor Kalaiyarasan. During this, Tarak expressed his desire to work with Tamil director Vetrimaaran, which although captivated the Tamil audience, left Telugu cinema lovers feeling slighted. Trolls are questioning why a star like Tarak would request a Tamil director to make a movie with him, suggesting he is diminishing his own stature.
Devara Team on The Kapil Sharma Show!
The Devara team has also been conducting back-to-back promotions in Mumbai, attempting to hype up the movie. As part of this, Tarak appeared on the very popular 'The Kapil Sharma Show Season 2.' Being a major Bollywood star, itās almost obligatory to appear on this show, which has a fan base that transcends regional boundaries. Bollywood stars believe that appearing on this show greatly boosts their movie promotions. During the 'RRR' promotions, Rajamouli, Tarak, and Ram Charan had made an appearance on this show. Recently, Tarak revisited the show for Devara, along with Janhvi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Saif Ali Khan. The promo, which also features Team India captain Rohit Sharma & Co, has been captivating. This episode is scheduled to stream on Netflix at 8 PM on September 21.

Tarak in Hindi Bigg Boss 18?
The Hindi Bigg Boss show enjoys significant popularity. With Salman Khan hosting the upcoming Hindi Bigg Boss Season 18, there is strong buzz that the Devara team will promote their movie on the show. Official confirmation from the Devara team is pending, but it is evident from the current strategy that Tarak & Co. are not missing any opportunity for promotions in the North. Bigg Boss 18 is set to stream starting October 4, by which time Devara will have already been released. It remains to be seen if the Devara team will participate in Hindi Bigg Boss.
Interview with Animal Director
Recently, the Devara team was interviewed by Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The chat session, which included Tarak, director Koratala Siva, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor, was notably entertaining. Sandeep posed some intriguing questions to the Devara team, to which Janhvi and Tarak responded in their unique styles. Tarak mentioned that Devara is an action drama that will thrill the masses. Koratala Siva spoke about his long-standing friendship with Tarak, and the team mentioned that they had spent 35 days filming an underwater sequence. Janhvi claimed Devara would be the best movie in everyoneās careers. Sandeep playfully commented on the movie's runtime, and when asked how long it was, he said with a laugh that it was 3 hours and 24 minutes. Despite Sandeep Reddy Vanga being a Telugu director, the entire interview was conducted in English, which has left Telugu viewers unable to connect. Click the link below for the full interview.

Where Are the Tollywood Promotions?
Lately, the Devara team has been focused predominantly on Bollywood, believing that effective promotions there could translate into significant box office returns. Even the movieās key trailer was released in Mumbai. There have been comments suggesting it would be beneficial to similarly promote the movie in Telugu, given Tarakās star image and expected box office pull in Telugu-speaking regions. Compared to the promotions conducted in the North, there seems to be little planning for significant promotional activities in Telugu. Fans are surprised that young heroes Siddhu and Vishwak are interviewing NTR and Koratala, raising questions about the level of NTRās engagement. There are criticisms that leveraging his close relationships with big names like Mahesh, Prabhas, and Rajamouli for interviews would have been more beneficial for Telugu promotions. The interview Rajamouli conducted with the 'Salaar' team is often cited as an example. So far, the focus on Bollywood in promotions has been strongly criticized for overshadowing efforts in Tollywood. How the Devara team will address this remains to be seen.

NTR's 'Devara': Inspired by RRR and Set for Historic Beyond Fest Debut
The film 'Devara', a collaboration between NTR and Koratala Siva, is set for a worldwide release on September 27. As a pan-India film, the Devara team has been busy promoting it in Bollywood recently. They have also conducted an event in Tamil Nadu recently, building hype there as well. As the release date approaches, Tarak has been actively participating in the promotions without rest. In a recent interview, he made interesting comments about the film, heroine Janhvi Kapoor, and music sensation Anirudh Ravichander, which have now gone viral.
'Didn't Initially Consider Janhvi'
Janhvi Kapoor stars alongside Tarak in 'Devara'. This film marks her first introduction to the Telugu screen. However, Tarak revealed in a recent interview that Janhvi was not initially considered for the heroine role. While writing the story, there was no particular actress in mind for the role. At that time, Karan Johar called and said, 'Janhvi is a good actress. It would be good if we take her in our film,' recalled Tarak. "Even then, we didn't think about taking her immediately. But she strongly wished to be part of it. By the time the scriptwriting was completed, she had joined the team. She was very nervous about acting and the language at first, but performed well. Her acting surprised everyone," Tarak explained.
Inspired by RRR
The title of a film is very important, especially for a pan-India film, where it needs to connect with everyone at a national level. That's why there is a lot of homework done on titles for star hero films. Tarak shared in the recent interview that this was also the case with Devara. He also revealed the reasoning behind fixing the title 'Devara'. He had thought from the beginning that the film needed a title like 'RRR' that would resonate nationally. "That's how 'Devara' was finalized," he clarified. Tarak mentioned that 'Devara' means 'God'.
Anirudh on Par with Rahman
Anirudh Ravichander provided the sensational music for 'Devara'. Already, the songs "Fear", "Buttamalle", and "Daavudi" from this film have been trending nationally. In this context, Tarak showered praises on Anirudh, stating that his era is ongoing and lifted him to the skies. "Anirudh knows how essential music is for a film, and he is an amazing person. He works hard until he achieves the desired results," praised Tarak. He opined that Anirudh would reach the level of A.R. Rahman and expressed hope that he would compose for international films as well.
Devara as the First Indian Film at 'Beyond Fest'
Before its release, 'Devara' has already set several records and has now added a rare honor to its achievements. It is set to be the first Indian film to be showcased at the prestigious Beyond Fest 2024 in Los Angeles. No Indian film has been featured at Beyond Fest to date. This record will be exclusively Tarak's. The festival will take place from September 25 to October 9. On the other hand, 'Devara' also broke the North American presale ticket record, becoming the fastest Indian film to collect 1 million dollars through presales.

'Devara: Part 1' Trailer Sparks Buzz: Jr NTR's Dual Roles Raise Excitement and Concerns
The film 'Devara: Part 1,' created by the combination of Jr NTR and Koratala Siva, has become the talk of the nation. With the movie set to release on September 27, the film unit is focusing heavily on promotions. Recently, the Devara team released several songs and unveiled the trailer on Tuesday (September 10), which has further heightened the anticipation and created a buzz around the movie. The trailer clarified that Tarak will be playing dual roles as father and son. Fans are now apprehensive since Tarak's previous dual role movies have not fared well, causing concern about the outcome of 'Devara.'
Dual Roles: A Jinx?
It is known that Tarak is playing dual roles in 'Devara.' He has played dual roles in several films before, such as 'Andhrawala,' 'Sakthi,' and 'Adhurs,' where he portrayed distinct characters. 'Andhrawala' was his first dual role film, directed by Puri Jagannadh, which turned out to be a huge disaster. His subsequent dual role in 'Sakthi' also flopped badly. These films have left painful memories for Tarak and his fans. However, his experiment with 'Adhurs' was somewhat successful, though it did not achieve commercial success, earning only a two-crore margin (grossing Rs. 28 crores) on a budget of Rs. 26 crores. Notably, 'Jai Lava Kusa,' where Tarak played triple roles, was a box office hit, marking a significant success.
Will 'Devara' Overcome the Curse?
Film circles speculate that every time Jr NTR has taken on dual roles, it has been met with obstacles, as past experiences have shown. There are concerns that this bad sentiment might affect 'Devara' as well. However, Tarak's fans are hopeful that 'Devara' will break the jinx and achieve success, putting an end to the negative streak that has followed him. The trailer for 'Devara' has also been impressive, leading fans to post confidently about the film's potential success. Let's hope for 'Devara' to be a hit.
Dual Role in 'NTR 31' Too!
It is known that Tarak is set to star in a film directed by 'KGF' fame Prashanth Neel, currently under the working title 'NTR 31.' In this film too, Jr NTR is expected to play dual roles. One of the roles is rumored to be a 75-year-old man, a character unlike any he has played before, and another as a mafia don. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, this film is soon to go on floors. 'NTR 31' might also face the same sentiment issues if 'Devara' results in an unexpected outcome, as the working title 'Dragon' is also under consideration for this project.
How's the Devara Trailer?
The trailer for 'Devara' starts with a powerful voiceover by Prakash Raj, saying, "There's no caste, no creed, no fear at all... but for the first time, fear has crept in." It showcases NTR's (Devara) character with lines like, "A man needs only enough courage to live, not enough to die. If he gathers that courage again... it's that courage that kills fear." The villain Baira (Saif Ali Khan) and his gang's atrocities are also depicted. During a crucial time when the gang plans to kill 'Devara,' another character of NTR (Vara) is introduced, portrayed as very naive by the heroine Janhvi Kapoor. The trailer leaves us with suspense: Is 'Devara' alive or dead? What problems did Baira's gang cause to him and the villagers? Director Koratala Siva maintains the suspense throughout the first part of the 'Devara' trailer.

Devara: Koratala Siva's Signature Formula, Trailer Release, and Rising Expectations for NTR's Next Blockbuster"
The film 'Devara' (Devara: Part 1), directed by Koratala Siva and starring Tarak, is currently generating buzz nationwide. Following the global hit 'RRR', expectations are high for this new movie from Tarak, not just in Telugu but also in the North. The trailer is also set to release today, causing hashtags like #JrNTR, #DevaraTrailer, #KoratalaSiva to trend online. Director Koratala Siva is known for following a special formula in each of his films. A close examination of his previous films reveals this pattern. Based on this, some netizens have predicted the plot of Devara, which is now going viral online. Letās see what those details are.
Is This Koratala's Formula?
Koratala Siva's directorial ventures like 'Mirchi', 'Srimanthudu', 'Janatha Garage', and 'Bharat Ane Nenu' have been blockbuster successes. Although the stories and settings of these films vary, the underlying formula remains the same. This involves an outsider hero who goes to a new place and stands up for the people suffering there, confronting the villain causing the trouble. As it turns out, there is a past connection between the hero and the local villain. Recalling the plots of these films and applying the said formula, one might agree that this could indeed be true. Koratala Sivaās previous film 'Acharya' also followed this formula, where Chiru, as an outsider, goes to a place called Padagattam and ends the chaos created by villains there, with a flashback linking Ram Charan to Chiru and Padagattam.
Is This the Story of Devara?
Based on Koratala Sivaās formula from his previous films, some netizens have predicted the plot of Devara. According to them, the red sea shown in the first teaser is presumed to be a significant location. In this area, NTR leads the fishermen and confronts the villains causing disruptions. In a twist, the villainsā gang plots and seemingly defeats him. However, NTR's son, surviving an attack by the villains, grows up and returns to the area to exact revenge on the villains. Some commentators believe that this plot fits Koratalaās formula and could indeed be the storyline of 'Devara'. However, whether this is accurate remains to be seen, though many posts suggest the plot is quite convincing.
Devara Creates History
The film 'Devara', directed by Koratala Siva and starring NTR, is set to release worldwide on September 27. Having already set records with its music, the movie recently added another achievement by opening its pre-sale ticket bookings overseas, reaching the one million dollar mark. Tarak Stirs Up a Storm
On September 4, the makers released the 'Daavudi' song from 'Devara,' and it quickly trended. This song faced trolls comparing it to the 'Arabic Kuthu' song from the movie 'Beast.' Mesmerizing Dance
Tarakās dance in the 'Daavudi' song stands out as a major highlight, elevating the song to another level with his dynamic steps choreographed by Shekhar Master. Janhvi Kapoor, too, matched Tarak step for step, proving her mettle as a dancer. Social media is abuzz with praise for both their performances, especially lauding Tarak, with a fanās post comparing his energy to that from a decade ago going viral. Cinematographer Ratnavelu revealed via the X platform that Tarak endured muscle pain during the 'Daavudi' song shoot but still managed to dance spectacularly, earning immense admiration.

Devara: A Gripping Tale with High Expectations, But Will Its Runtime Test Audiences?
The film 'Devara: Part 1,' starring Jr NTR, is garnering nationwide expectations. Directed by Koratala Siva, this film is set to hit the screens in exactly 23 days, greeting global audiences on September 27. Bollywood beauty Janhvi Kapoor stars alongside Tarak, with Hindi cinema stalwarts Saif Ali Khan and Bobby Deol playing villainous roles, generating significant buzz for the film. Amidst this, recent news about the runtime of 'Devara' is circulating online, causing concern among Tarak's fans.
What is the runtime?
In the works under the combination of Tarak and Koratala, 'Devara' is currently in the midst of post-production. Reports suggest that the film's runtime has been finalized. The industry is abuzz that the Devara team has locked a runtime of 3 hours and 10 minutes. Fans are expressing concern, fearing that such a lengthy duration might be cumbersome. Most films exceeding 3 hours have struggled to engage audiences. However, it's too soon to declare this as Devara's final runtime since the movie still has to undergo censorship review. There's a possibility that the duration might reduce if the censor board decides to make cuts.
Will Koratala's magic work?
Regardless of the cuts made by the censor board, analysts believe that Devaraās runtime is unlikely to be less than 3 hours. The success of the film is expected to hinge on Koratala's screenplay. Considering his past directorial ventures like 'Mirchi', 'Bharat Ane Nenu', 'Janatha Garage', and 'Srimanthudu', Koratala's direction prowess is well recognized. He has successfully turned simple storylines into gripping dramas with engaging screenplays. If he repeats this magic in 'Devara', it could be a delight for the fans. The recently released 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' also had a runtime of nearly 3 hours, yet managed to impress with its excellent action drama and the direction skills of Vivek Athreya, combined with the outstanding performances of Nani and S.J. Suryah.
Films Affected by Long Durations!
Recent releases like 'Bharateeyudu 2', 'Tiger Nageswara Rao', and 'Ante Sundaraniki' arrived with lengthy runtimes and received a lukewarm response. Despite 'Bharateeyudu 2' being set aside, the other two films had good content but failed to captivate the audience. In 'Tiger Nageswara Rao', although Ravi Teja delivered a commendable performance, the extended duration resulted in a dragging sensation among the audience. 'Ante Sundaraniki' faced similar criticism despite its unique concept of challenges faced by a couple from different faiths. The excessive length was perceived as making the movie feel like a serial.
New Poster Release
Today marks the release of the third song from the film Devara. Having already released the first single, 'Fire Song', and the second single, 'Chuttamalle', both songs are trending on YouTube. However, the makers have announced that a third single titled 'Daavudi' will be released this evening at 5:04 PM. In line with this, a special poster featuring Tarak and Janhvi Kapoor in a romantic pose has also been released, captivating the audience.

Devara: Is it a Real-Life Tale That Could Stir Political Waters for TDP?
After the global success of "RRR," Jr. NTR's upcoming film "Devara: Part 1" directed by Koratala Siva is generating huge expectations. The film features Bollywood beauty Janhvi Kapoor as the heroine and veteran actor Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist, creating significant buzz. With shooting completed, the film is currently in the post-production stage. Jr. NTR playing a dual role has sparked curiosity among fans and cinema lovers about the storyline of "Devara." Recently, a sensational piece of news has been stirring up the internet related to "Devara's" storyline, which is reportedly based on a real incident that once shook unified Andhra Pradesh. What is this incident? What's the story of Devara? Let's find out.
Is This the Story of Devara?
It is believed that director Koratala Siva has based the story of "Devara" on some real-life events. According to the latest buzz, the movie reflects on a brutal massacre of Dalits that took place in the past. The film is said to depict the tragic incident of Karamchedu, where many Dalits were killed by upper castes in 1985 in Karamchedu village of Andhra Pradesh. Reliable sources suggest that Koratala Siva plans to showcase this real-life incident in "Devara," increasing the anticipation for the film. Currently, the movie team has not clarified the ongoing speculations on social media.
Will It Embroil TDP?
During the Karamchedu incident in 1985, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao was the Chief Minister of unified Andhra Pradesh. Although he introduced several new laws for Dalits after the incident, it remained a permanent stain on his government. Even years later, the scars of that bloodshed still haunt the TDP government, which is currently in power again in AP. If "Devara" brings this issue back into the spotlight, it could potentially put Chandrababu Naidu's leadership and TDP in a tough spot, especially considering the ongoing speculations of internal conflicts between the TDP and Balakrishna, Jr. NTRās relationship. If the movie portrays the Karamchedu incident, it could further widen the rift.
A Social Message is Essential!
Koratala Siva is one of the directors in Telugu cinema known for incorporating a social message or touching on social issues in every film. From addressing factionalism in "Mirchi," adoption of villages in "Srimanthudu," supporting the underprivileged in "Janatha Garage," responsible politics in "Bharat Ane Nenu," to showcasing the Naxalite movement in "Acharya," his films consistently reflect deeper social concerns. It's quite possible that "Devara" will include scenes related to the tragic events of Karamchedu, as discussed within industry circles.
The Third Song is Coming!
The third song from "Devara" is set to be released on September 4th. The movie team has officially announced this through a poster. The duet titled "Davudi" promises to be a mesmerizing track, with every beat designed to make you whistle. The latest poster features Tarak in a black outfit and Janhvi captivating in white, as she romantically grabs him from behind. The dance steps by Jr. NTR in this song is expected to be spectacular.
