Since Johnny’s arrival, Srinivas's life has turned upside down, leading to financial troubles. He blames Johnny for his misfortune and harbors resentment towards him, while Johnny still loves Srinivas deeply and tries to pay off his debts while taking care of him. Meanwhile, Srinivas ends up owing a powerful politician one crore rupees. At the same time, Johnny meets his biological father, Prakash. What happens next? Performance Analysis In 'Maa Nanna Superhero,' Sudheer Babu presents a different side compared to his previous films. Known for showcasing his physique in action movies, this time, he impresses with his mature acting, bringing out the emotions perfectly and striving for recognition as a complete actor. Sayaji Shinde gives a good performance as the foster father, though his character lacks depth. Sai Chand, as the biological father, lives the role with his trademark acting. Most of the important scenes revolve around these three characters. Arna, as the heroine, doesn’t have much importance in the story but manages to make an impression with her glamour in some scenes. The rest of the cast has done a decent job within their scope. Direction For those who have watched Tamil and Malayalam films and wondered why such feel-good movies aren't made in Telugu, this film will bring joy. Director Abhilash Kankar chose an emotionally touching story. The plot revolves around the emotional journey of a father separated from his child at a young age and the complexities of a foster father-son relationship. However, the director took considerable time to establish Johnny's love for his father. Only after the emotional buildup does the real story begin. The first half focuses on Sudheer Babu and Sayaji Shinde's relationship, while Sai Chand's character comes into play in the second half, making it more emotional. The last 20 minutes are particularly heart-wrenching for the audience. The slow pace of the narration and lack of commercial elements are the negatives. Technical Aspects In terms of technical aspects, Jai Krishna's background score is a big plus for the film. The cinematography is also impressive. However, the editing could have been better. Anasuya delivers a compelling performance as teacher Akshika, embodying her character flawlessly. Divi, Sreenath Maganti, and Vashistha Simha also engage well in their roles, with Vashistha Simha's portrayal as the investigative officer being particularly notable. Senior actors Gautami and Kasturi add charm in secondary roles. Kabir, portraying the antagonist, was adequate. The rest of the cast performed well within their roles. Direction Director Murali Manohar has attempted to blend environmental themes into a crime and investigative story. The introduction of Anasuya’s character, the love track between Divi and Sreenath Maganti, and the dual murder events are well-handled in the first half. However, the police investigation scenes feel routine and lack logical progression. In the second half, Jagapathi Babu’s entrance as the Forest Man, emphasizing tree conservation and love for nature, brings thought-provoking scenes. Nonetheless, the lack of impactful dialogue means the director’s message doesn’t resonate strongly with the audience. The concept of 'biological memory' is intriguing in the film. A better presentation of the Forest Man episode could have enhanced the impact. Overall, although the movie's concept is interesting, the director fails to effectively convey it to the audience. Technically On the technical front, Krishna Saurabh’s background music is a highlight, elevating several scenes effectively. Krishnaprasad’s cinematography is commendable, and the editing is adequate. The production values are high.
