The Rise of Pan India Cinema: Stars Breaking 100 Crore Opening Records on Day One
The wave of Pan India films is currently ongoing in the country. Once confined to their own industries, star heroes are now proving their mettle in other industries as well. They are releasing their films at a national level and collecting large sums of money, with some of them amassing over Rs. 100 crores in their accounts on the first day itself. A recent highlight is the film 'Devara' starring Tarak, which raked in Rs. 172 crores on its first day. Let's now review who these star heroes are, who have managed to place their films in the Rs. 100 crore club on day one.
Prabhas
Currently, Prabhas enjoys an unmatched craze in the country. Whenever his film is released, records are expected to break. Prabhas tops as the hero who most frequently earned over Rs. 100 crores on the first day. Prabhas achieved this feat five times with 'Baahubali 2' (Rs. 214.5 crores), 'Saaho' (Rs. 130 crores), 'Adipurush' (Rs. 140 crores), 'Salaar' (Rs. 178.7 crores), and 'Kalki 2898 AD' (Rs. 191.5 crores).
Vijay
Following Prabhas, Vijay has also often surpassed Rs. 100 crores in collections on the first day. His films 'Leo', and 'The G.O.A.T' managed to achieve this feat. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, 'Leo' earned Rs. 145 crores on its first day. The recently released 'The Greatest Of All Time' collected Rs. 126.3 crores on its first day.
Jr NTR
With the success of the movie 'Devara', Tarak has positioned himself in the top 3 of this list. Two of his films managed to surpass the Rs. 100 crore mark on their first day. Directed by the legendary Rajamouli, the film 'RRR', starring Tarak and Ram Charan, secured Rs. 223 crores on its first day. Tarak’s recent film 'Devara' also collected Rs. 172 crores on its first day, solidifying his status as a Pan India star.
Shah Rukh Khan
Bollywood's king Shah Rukh Khan has achieved this milestone twice. His films 'Pathaan', and 'Jawan' exceeded Rs. 100 crores on the first day. Directed by Siddharth Anand and co-starring Deepika Padukone, 'Pathaan' amassed Rs. 106 crores on its first day. Following that, 'Jawan', directed by Tamil director Atlee, collected Rs. 129 crores worldwide on its debut day.
Yash
Kannada actor Yash entered the Rs. 100 crore club on the first day with the film 'KGF 2'. Before 'KGF', Yash was limited to the Kannada industry, but the success of this film brought him Pan India fame. 'KGF 2' attracted nationwide attention by earning Rs. 164 crores on its first day.
Ranbir Kapoor
Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor shook the box office with 'Animal', directed by the daring and dashing director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. This film marked the first time Ranbir entered the Rs. 100 crore club on the first day, collecting Rs. 116 crores upon its release on December 1 last year.
Ram Charan
Alongside Tarak in 'RRR', directed by Rajamouli, mega superstar Ram Charan also starred as a hero. This film made an impact by earning Rs. 223 crores on its first day. Directed by Shankar, his upcoming film 'Game Changer' is also expected to surpass Rs. 100 crores on its first day, as per the confidence expressed by Charan's fans. This film is set to be a Christmas gift for the audience.

Vijay's 'The Goat' Nears ₹300 Crore Mark with Impressive Box Office Performance
Tamil star hero Vijay stars in the latest action thriller "The Goat" (The Greatest Of All Time), directed by Venkat Prabhu. Meenakshi Chaudhary is the heroine, with Sneha, Laila, Prashanth, and Prabhudeva playing key roles. The film, featuring de-aging technology, marks Vijay's last movie before his rumoured entry into politics, which has spiked expectations. However, it was released worldwide on Thursday, September 5. In Telugu-speaking regions, the film received mixed reviews, whereas in Tamil Nadu, it particularly captivated Vijay's fanbase and garnered a hit talk. On its first day, the movie grossed over Rs. 120 crore. Now, let’s see how the weekend collections shaped up.
How Much Did The Weekend Collections Amount To?
Vijay’s "The Goat" (The Greatest Of All Time) lived up to expectations at the box office, grossing Rs. 282.5 crore worldwide in the first four days, narrowly missing the Rs. 300 crore club. However, it set a record as the highest-grossing Tamil film of the year. Dhanush's recent film 'Raayan' crossed lifetime gross earnings of Rs. 154 crore within the first two days and set this feat. Notably, 'The Goat' grossed Rs. 106.40 crore in Tamil Nadu alone. In the two Telugu-speaking states, it collected Rs. 10.10 crore, Rs. 21.1 crore in Karnataka, Rs. 10.4 crore in Kerala, and Rs. 13.9 crore in the rest of India. Overseas, the film fetched around Rs. 120.15 crore according to trade estimates. Currently, the film is surging towards the Rs. 300 crore club.
What’s The Film Like?
Director Venkat Prabhu’s storyline doesn’t bring anything new to the table. Movies featuring a hero working in defense and the villain raising the hero’s son only to turn him against his father have been quite common. However, the scenes written about the son’s revenge seem interesting. The first half is mostly spent introducing the hero and other characters, with the story unfolding predictably until the pre-interval. The interval scene sets up an intriguing second half. Though the second half also largely unfolds as expected, the director successfully crafted an engaging climax. The twists in the second half will surprise the audience. The film’s comedy and dialogues are deeply infused with Tamil elements, which might not appeal as much to the Telugu audience. However, for Vijay's fans, this film is sure to be a treat.
What's the Story?
Gandhi (Vijay), a special anti-terrorism squad officer, conducts various successful missions with his teammates Sunil (Prashant), Ajay (Ajmal), and Kalyan Sundaram (Prabhu Deva). However, he keeps his job a secret from his wife Anu (Sneha). During one mission abroad, his five-year-old son dies. Believing her husband to be responsible, Anu distances herself from Gandhi. Distraught, Gandhi leaves the force. Years later, on a trip to Moscow, he encounters his son Jeevan (Vijay), whom he thought was dead, alive. Overjoyed, he brings him back to India. From then on, Gandhi’s acquaintances start dying one by one. Who is responsible for these deaths? How did his presumed-dead son come back? How does Gandhi stop the killings? These questions form the crux of the story.

Vijay's 'The Goat' Makes a Strong Impact with First-Day Collections Despite Mixed Reviews
Tamil superstar Vijay stars in the latest action thriller 'The Goat' (The Greatest Of All Time), directed by Venkat Prabhu. Meenakshi Chaudhary plays the leading lady, while Sneha, Laila, Prashanth, and Prabhu Deva have significant roles. This film, developed with de-aging technology, has garnered high expectations as it is rumored to be Vijay's final movie before his political entry. It was released worldwide on Thursday (September 5) and received mixed reactions in the Telugu states, but it was a hit among Vijay's fans in Tamil Nadu. Let’s see how the movie performed on its first day.
Day 1 Collections
Matching the high expectations, 'The Goat' (The Greatest Of All Time) raked in impressive collections on its first day. In India alone, the film is estimated to have grossed over ₹55 crores, with a net collection of ₹43 crores. Tamil Nadu alone contributed a gross of ₹38.3 crores. The Telugu states accounted for ₹3 crores and Hindi markets brought in ₹1.7 crores in gross collections. The worldwide gross is expected to surpass ₹80 crores on the first day. However, according to trade estimates, 'The Goat' could not surpass the record set by Vijay’s previous film 'Leo', which collected ₹148.5 crores on its first day.
What's 'The Goat' Like?
Director Venkat Prabhu’s story does not present much novelty. Movies featuring a hero working in defense sectors and villains raising the hero’s son only to use him against the hero have been seen before. However, the scenes depicting the son’s revenge feel intriguing. The first half mainly introduces the hero and other characters, progressing predictably until the pre-interval. The interval scene raises interest for the second half, which largely unfolds as expected, but the climax is crafted to captivate. The twists in the second half are sure to surprise the audience. The Tamil essence in comedy and dialogues might not appeal much to the Telugu audience, but Vijay's fans will likely find the film immensely engaging.
The Plot
Gandhi (Vijay), a special anti-terrorism squad officer, conducts various successful missions with his teammates Sunil (Prashant), Ajay (Ajmal), and Kalyan Sundaram (Prabhu Deva). Venkat Prabhu Faces Backlash Over Telugu Audience Criticism After 'The Goat' Underperforms
The latest film starring Kollywood star hero Vijay, titled 'The Goat' (The Greatest Of All Time), released on September 5 and has been a massive hit in Tamil Nadu, even crossing the Rs. 300 crore mark with impressive overseas collections. However, the film seems to be facing strong resistance in the Telugu and Hindi markets. In this context, the film's director Venkat Prabhu responded, sparking a heated debate on social media.
'That's Why They Didn't Like It'
In Telugu and Hindi, 'The Goat' (The Greatest Of All Time) did not meet the expected levels of success. Mythri Movie Makers, a prominent production company, purchased the film for Rs. 22 crores in Telugu, but so far, it has only grossed Rs. 10 crores. Current circumstances suggest that even breaking even may be difficult. Against this backdrop, director Venkat Prabhu took to social media to express his views. He suggested that scenes related to Chennai Super Kings and MS Dhoni, which were highlights, did not resonate well with Telugu and Hindi audiences, which might be why the film underperformed in these regions. He also accused fans of the IPL teams from Mumbai and Bangalore of excessively trolling his film, attributing this to his known fandom of Chennai Super Kings. Venkat Prabhu's comments have become a hot topic on social media.
https://twitter.com/TheAakashavaani/status/1833133203697131918
Telugu Audience Fires Back..!
Telugu audiences are strongly criticizing Venkat Prabhu's recent comments. They are posting online that there are other reasons for 'The Goat's disaster performance in Telugu. Comments suggest that if the content is good, they support films irrespective of the industry. They remind the director of the massive success his previous film 'Maanaadu' had in Telugu, indicating that MS Dhoni also has a huge fanbase in the Telugu states, with stadiums filling up in yellow jerseys whenever a CSK match is played in Hyderabad. They are requesting that the actual reasons for 'The Goat's failure be investigated.
Reasons for the Flop in Telugu Are These!
Director Venkat Prabhu made 'The Goat' with a routine story where Vijay played dual roles as father and son. Despite the terrorism backdrop, it lacked the twists typically seen in agent films. There were no twists or turns in the story, and even the operations conducted by the hero lacked thrill. Additionally, unnecessary songs and Yogi Babu's comedy track tested the patience of the Telugu audience. However, the action sequences and the IPL track in the climax managed to generate some excitement.
Dhoni Said No!
'The Goat' featured many cameo roles. Sivakarthikeyan and Trisha appeared as guests, and India's former cricket captain MS Dhoni was also shown during the climax using IPL visuals. Director Venkat Prabhu originally intended to have a scene with Dhoni in the film, but since Dhoni did not agree, they had to resort to using IPL visuals. The 20-minute climax episode captivated cricket lovers immensely.
Furious Over Negative Reviews
Director Venkat Prabhu responded to the negative reviews of 'The Goat.' "People don't talk about the effort we put into making the film. Some intentionally post negative comments. We included references in the film not found in any other movie, all to celebrate every hero fan. The film wasn't made just for the guest appearances but was crafted to include everything audiences desire. We made this film for the audience, not the reviewers," he stated.

Vijay's 'The GOAT': A Predictable Action Drama with Strong Performances and High Expectations
Cast: Vijay, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prabhu Deva, Prashant Thyagarajan, Kokila Mohan, Jayaram, Sneha, VTV Ganesh, Aravind Akash, Vaibhav Reddy, and others.
Story and Direction: Venkat Prabhu
Music: Yuvan Shankar Raja
Cinematography: Siddharth Nuni
Editing: Venkat Rajan
Producers: Kalpathi S. Aghoram, Kalpathi S. Ganesh, Kalpathi S. Suresh
Tamil star hero Vijay stars in the latest action thriller 'The GOAT' (The Greatest of All Time), directed by Venkat Prabhu. The film also features Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead, with important roles played by Sneha, Laila, Prashant, and Prabhu Deva. This film is notable for its use of de-aging technology. With rumors circulating that this might be Vijay's last film before entering politics, expectations for the film were quite high. How did the film turn out? How much did it captivate the audience? Did it provide another unforgettable success for Vijay or not? Let’s find out in this review.
Plot
Performances
Vijay delivers a dual role, excelling as Gandhi but the young Vijay’s digitally aged look as Jeevan might feel a bit off, not entirely convincing. Vijay shines again in action sequences and emotional scenes, proving his star quality. Meenakshi Chaudhary as the heroine doesn’t have much of a role, feeling more like a guest appearance. Prashant, Ajmal, and Prabhu Deva as squad members are adequate but not outstanding. Jayaram, as the head of the squad, captivates with his performance. Sneha impresses with her acting as Gandhi’s wife. Tamil youth hero Shiva Karthikeyan makes a mark in a cameo, and Trisha excites in a special song appearance. The rest of the cast performs adequately within their roles.
Direction
Director Venkat Prabhu’s storyline lacks novelty. The narrative of a hero working in defense and the villain raising his son to turn against him has been seen many times before. However, the scenes detailing the son’s revenge feel engaging. The first half is mostly spent introducing the characters, and the plot progresses as expected until the pre-interval. The interval scene raises curiosity for the second half, which, although predictable, includes some twists that surprise the audience. The comedy and dialogues are deeply rooted in Tamil culture, which might not entirely appeal to the Telugu audience. However, Vijay’s fans will likely find the film quite entertaining.
Technically
On the technical front, the songs by Yuvan Shankar Raja are forgettable, not leaving a lasting impact. However, the background music enhances the action sequences, elevating them to another level. The graphic department could have done better, especially with Vijay’s de-aging look. Editing is competent. The production values are high, showing no compromise in terms of budget.
Plus Points
- Vijay’s performance
- Action sequences
- Climax
Minus Points
- Predictable plot
- Slow first half

Release Date: June 27, 2024
The film 'Kalki 2898 AD,' directed by Nag Ashwin and starring Prabhas, generated worldwide excitement. This high-budget science fiction action movie, also featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan, became known as India's most expensive production. With its Hollywood-level trailer and teaser, anticipation skyrocketed following the initial poster release. The movie premiered on June 27. Did 'Kalki 2898 AD' meet the high expectations and give another blockbuster to Prabhas's career?
What's the story?
The plot of 'Kalki 2898 AD' unfolds from a deceit by Dharmaraja in the Mahabharata. Ashwatthama (Amitabh Bachchan), cursed by Krishna during the battle of Kurukshetra, eagerly anticipates the arrival of Kalki. Upon discovering that Kalki will be born to a woman named Sumati (Deepika Padukone), he takes on the role of her protector. Meanwhile, Bhairava (Prabhas) in Kashi seeks to enter a sacred complex that requires one million units for entry. Realizing that capturing Sumati could earn him the necessary funds, Bhairava sets out on his quest. Will he confront Ashwatthama and succeed in capturing Sumati? Who is Supreme Yashkin (Kamal Haasan) play, and why is he interested in Sumati? How are the Kali Yuga's conclusion and the Kurukshetra's battle connected? Why are the residents of Kashi and Shambhala facing hardships? What roles do Vijay Deverakonda and Dulquer Salmaan play? One must watch the movie 'Kalki' to find the answers to these questions.
How did they perform?
Pan-India star Prabhas once again asserted his commanding presence in this film, particularly shining in the role of Bhairava. His dynamic action sequences left a lasting impression. While his role was limited in the first half, he delivered a fully engaging performance in the second half. Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, portraying Ashwatthama, gave an unparalleled performance, with his efforts evident on screen. Kamal Haasan, playing the villain, offered a performance that surpassed expectations. Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani captivated audiences with their roles. The cameos by Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salmaan, Rajamouli, Rana, and RGV were delightful. All other actors fulfilled their roles with great conviction.
How's the direction?
Director Nag Ashwin is poised to make a global impact with 'Kalki'. The film's greatest strength lies in the story, which was crafted by Nag Ashwin himself. His direction, vision, and presentation all earn high praise. Although the first 40 minutes may appear slow, Ashwin ensures that the pace never falters. After this initial segment, the narrative picks up speed and maintains its intensity all the way to the climax. The scene just before the interval, in particular, is sure to give the audience goosebumps. The futuristic vehicles, weaponry, and sets are visually spectacular. Nonetheless, the screenplay has minor flaws, and some scenes seem overly prolonged. The absence of elements that typically thrill the broader audience represents a slight drawback. Improved dubbing for Deepika could have further enhanced the viewing experience. Overall, Nag Ashwin has achieved significant success as a director.
Technically
On the technical front, all departments exhibited exceptional skill. The graphics department especially deserves high praise. The cinematographer’s work is outstanding. Santhosh Narayanan’s music is a significant plus for the film, particularly elevating the action sequences. The editor could have sharpened his cuts a bit more. The production values are very high, with no compromises on the budget. Every scene is richly produced.

Young director Sujeeth (HBD Sujeeth) has carved a unique niche for himself in Tollywood. Although he has directed only two films so far, he has garnered a craze that many directors achieve only after many more films. Starting with 'Run Raja Run' as a director, Sujeeth caught everyone's attention at the pan-India level with 'Saaho'. Currently, he is directing 'OG' with Pawan Kalyan, capturing the mega fans' focus. Today, this talented director steps into his 34th year. Let's take a look at some secrets of his career.
Making Short Films at 17

Prasad Film & TV Academy. He started making short films on YouTube at the age of 17 and has directed over 30 short films to date.
Creativity in Short Films
Typically, YouTube short films are made on a low budget and are not expected to meet high standards. However, Sujeeth's films like 'Run Raja Run', 'Prema Ishq Kaadhal', 'Thokkalo Love Story', 'Vesham', 'Yuddham', 'Prema Care of Drama', and 'Indian Idol' surprised the film industry with their richness and showcased his mesmerizing creativity.

Guidance from Puri Jagannadh
Upon entering the industry with the aim to direct, Sujeeth initially decided to work as an assistant director under Puri Jagannadh. Meeting him, Puri recognized Sujeeth's abundant directorial skills and encouraged him to pursue directing.

Before 'Baahubali'
UV Creations, which produced Prabhas's 'Mirchi', planned a second film with him and accepted a story from Sujeeth, which Prabhas liked. However, 'Baahubali' has not been released yet. After 'Baahubali', Prabhas's fame skyrocketed, leading Sujeeth to make adjustments to the story, and thus 'Saaho' was made on a pan-India scale. 'The More Foolish You Act, The More Awards You Get': Jagapathi Babu Stirs Controversy After Winning IIFA Best Villain Award for 'Kaatera
Jagapathi Babu, a renowned actor known for his family hero roles in Tollywood, has made a successful transition from lead roles to villainous characters. He has garnered a significant following in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam cinema through his performances in negative roles. Recently, he received the IIFA Award for Best Villain for a Kannada movie, sparking a heated discussion in the Indian film industry. His remarks were unexpected coming from a seasoned actor like him, causing quite a stir among netizens.
"Awards Only for the Foolish?"
In the Kannada film 'Kaatera,' where actor Darshan played the lead, Jagapathi Babu portrayed a villain. His exceptional performance in this negative role won critical acclaim, and the film achieved blockbuster success in Kannada. During the recent IIFA Awards-2024 event in Dubai, Jagapathi Babu was honored with the Best Villain award. Responding to this, he shared a video with the caption, "The more foolishly you act, the more awards you get," which has sparked controversy among netizens. Some suggest that if he dislikes receiving awards, he should return them.
https://twitter.com/IamJagguBhai/status/1848652810327666783
What Promoted Jagapathi Babu's Remarks?
It's well-known that Jagapathi Babu started his career as a hero and was particularly famous among family audiences for his roles in family dramas. Despite his success, he did not receive awards to the extent he expected. However, since switching to character roles and villains, awards have started coming his way, particularly for his performances as a villain. Films like 'Legend,' 'Nannaku Prematho,' 'Aravinda Sametha,' and 'Manyam Puli' (Telugu dub), and recently 'Kaatera' have brought him numerous accolades, including Nandi, Filmfare, SIIMA, and IIFA awards. His comment might have been influenced by the irony of receiving more awards for negative roles than positive ones.
A Turning Point with 'Legend'
Competing against stalwarts like Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Venkatesh, and Nagarjuna, Jagapathi Babu has had many hits. However, as the opportunities for lead roles declined, he shifted to character roles, impressing in roles like big brother and police officer, but still not achieving the recognition he desired. It was during this lull that he received an offer from director Boyapati to play a villain opposite Balakrishna in 'Legend,' which turned his career around. His powerful portrayal of a formidable antagonist won everyone over, and since then, he hasn't looked back.
Future Projects
Jagapathi Babu is busy with pan-India projects such as 'Pushpa 2,' directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun. His role is rumored to be a negative one, although details haven't been officially confirmed. He is also involved in the Tamil film 'Kanguva,' starring Surya, which is set to release worldwide on November 14. With these projects, Jagapathi Babu is expected to gain national prominence once again.

The Future of Telugu Cinema: Directors Who Could Rival S.S.Rajamouli's Success
Among India's esteemed directors, S.S. Rajamouli is distinguished by his unbroken streak of success. With films like 'RRR,' he has propelled Telugu cinema to international prominence and is currently poised to penetrate the global market with 'SSMB29,' starring Mahesh Babu. However, there are ongoing discussions among North Indian audiences about whether any Telugu directors can match Rajamouli's achievements. In response, we are giving several dynamic directors making their mark who can impact the Indian box office in a manner akin to Rajamouli. Who are these directors? Let's explore.
[toc]
Nag Ashwin
Currently, one of the most talked-about directors in Tollywood is Nag Ashwin. His upcoming film 'Kalki 2898 AD' featuring Prabhas is creating buzz at a global level. This science fiction movie, inspired by Indian mythology, is set to release worldwide on June 27. Film analysts believe that if this movie succeeds, there will be no turning back for Nag Ashwin's career. This film has the potential to elevate Tollywood to a new level and could bring immense fame to Nag Ashwin. His vision, execution, and unique promotions remind one of Rajamouli’s style.
Director Rajamouli consistently sets the standard in incorporating technology into cinema, known for world-class graphics, inventive weaponry, distinctive costumes, and extraordinary hero portrayals. Director Nag Ashwin, in a similar vein, channels Rajamouli’s innovative spirit by leveraging cutting-edge technology for 'Kalki'. The film features a specially designed vehicle named 'Bujji', used by Prabhas for his on-screen adventures. On Wednesday (May 22), a special preview of 'Bujji' was released, rapidly gaining popularity on YouTube.
https://twitter.com/i/status/1793606030703927405
The 'Bujji' special vehicle was developed in collaboration with Mahindra company, costing around 7 crores. Normally, it takes five to ten years to develop a new vehicle, but director Nag Ashwin has integrated the Mahindra team into the film to direct them according to his vision. He stated in the 'Bujji' glimpse release event that this vehicle plays an important role in the movie. He thanked the Mahindra team for their cooperation in creating the vehicle.
https://twitter.com/i/status/1793303611583418579
Sukumar
Before "Pushpa: The Rise," Sukumar was primarily recognized within Tollywood, but the film's success catapulted him to a pan-India directorial status. His direction in "Pushpa" left a strong impression, especially his transformation of the stylish Allu Arjun into a rugged character with untidy hair and a beard, perfectly matching the role's demands. Unlike Rajamouli, who is known for emphasizing the interval and climax scenes with intense action, Sukumar adopted a unique approach in "Pushpa." He designed these key scenes without violence, thereby intensifying anticipation for the second half. In the climax, Pushpa's confrontation with SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat (Fahadh Faasil) set the stage intriguingly for the upcoming sequel.
Everyone is waiting eagerly for the sequel 'Pushpa 2: The Rule', set to release on August 15. The makers have already started promotions. If this movie is successful, Sukumar’s stature is expected to rise significantly. He has also announced that his next film will star Ram Charan. Rumors are that 'Pushpa 3' is also in the pipeline, suggesting that Sukumar could reach Rajamouli's level of popularity in the next 2-3 years.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga
Tollywood sensation director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has proven his mettle with the movie 'Animal'. He has earned a unique recognition by making films with different concepts and has changed the style of cinema making, similar to Rajamouli. He is currently preparing to shoot his next film with Prabhas, titled 'Spirit'.
In 'Spirit', Prabhas will appear as a police officer for the first time, and his character is expected to be very powerful. A poster related to Prabhas’s character has already been released, showing him in a different style of police uniform, reminiscent of an international cop look. Sandeep has promised that 'Spirit' will feature even stronger content than 'Animal', and he is confident that the movie will collect 150 crores on the first day alone, reaching 1500 crores in collections within a week if it receives positive reviews.
Following 'Spirit', Sandeep Reddy is set to direct with Ranbir Kapoor in 'Animal 2'. If these two films are successful, film analysts believe that Sandeep could achieve a level of fame comparable to Rajamouli.
Prasanth Varma
Young director Prasanth Varma has made a nationwide impact with his film 'HanuMan'. Achieving star director status with just his third movie, 'HanuMan' has become this year's highest-grossing film, collecting over Rs. 350 crores and surpassing expectations at the box office. Prasanth Varma is now developing 'Hanuman 2' and is rumored to be directing a period film featuring Bollywood star Ranveer Singh. Success in these two projects could elevate Prasanth Varma's reputation to a national level.
Prashanth Neel
Kannada director Prashanth Neel has achieved solid success with 'Salaar,' featuring Tollywood star Prabhas. His directing style has greatly impressed even Rajamouli. Prashanth Neel has captivated everyone by providing elevations that match Prabhas' on-screen persona, presenting him as a strong personality in 'Salaar.' He designed the interval sequence wonderfully, reminiscent of Rajamouli’s style. Every appearance of Prabhas on screen sent chills down the fans' spines.
Currently, Prashanth Neel is fully dedicated to 'Salaar: Part 2 - Shouryanga Parvam'. Success with this film could establish him as one of the top directors nationally. He is also preparing for 'NTR31' with Tarak, expected to start production soon, and the production company has announced that 'KGF 3' is underway. If these three projects are successful, Prashanth Neel’s fame could rival that of Rajamouli.
Koratala Siva
Koratala Siva, a noted director in Tollywood, has seen substantial box office success with all his films except 'Acharya'. He is now directing a pan-India film titled 'Devara' featuring Tarak, set against a coastal backdrop and generating significant buzz. The film, which includes Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan and music by Anirudh, will release in two parts, the first on October 10. The promotional materials, including a thrilling scene of Tarak with a sword, have heightened expectations. Success with 'Devara' could elevate Koratala Siva to national prominence. If both parts succeed, he could become one of the country's most prominent directors.
Sujeeth
Sujeeth, recognized for his stylish direction, possesses skills akin to Hollywood filmmakers and is often compared to S.S. Rajamouli. Following 'Baahubali,' he directed Prabhas in 'Saaho.' Despite the film not meeting box office expectations, audiences appreciated Sujeeth’s direction, screenplay, and innovative approach, especially his execution of action scenes. He showcased Prabhas in a notably stylish role. At that time, it was said that Sujeeth would not need to look back if he could achieve a significant hit. Currently, he is directing 'OG' with Pawan Kalyan, anticipated as a pan-India release. Early glimpses have already excited Pawan's fans, where he portrays a gangster. If 'OG' succeeds, it is believed that Sujeeth's career could soar, with some analysts suggesting that two major hits might propel him to a status comparable to Rajamouli's.
Buchi Babu
Buchi Babu is one of the few directors who achieved a solid hit with their debut film. With 'Uppena,' he introduced a pure love story to the audience, proving his significant talent to the industry. He has now risen to a level where he is set to direct his next film with Tollywood star Ram Charan. This upcoming film, a sports drama, will also be released at a pan-India level. Analysts believe that if Buchi Babu's talent combines well with Ram Charan's star power, the film is sure to succeed. They also opine that his name will become well-known at a national level if this project succeeds.

Putin Praises Indian Films: Will 'Pushpa 2' Conquer the Russian Box Office?
The reputation of Indian cinema has now reached an international level. In the past, Indian stars were rarely invited to international film festivals, but this scenario has significantly changed, especially since the release of "Baahubali." Indian films are now being dubbed and released directly in foreign languages in countries like Japan, China, and Russia. In this context, Russian President Vladimir Putin made interesting remarks about the Indian film industry, which have become a hot topic nationwide.
What did Putin say?
The BRICS summit, consisting of five member countries including India, is scheduled to take place in Russia on the 22nd and 23rd of this month. In a media session ahead of the BRICS meetings, Putin responded to questions about incentives for films from BRICS countries in Russia. He mentioned that Indian films are well-received in Russia and even noted the existence of a dedicated TV channel that runs Indian movies 24/7. He clearly expressed a keen interest in Indian films and confirmed Russia's favorable stance towards showcasing Indian movies, promising a special platform to promote these films. He also mentioned that discussions would be held with Indian Prime Minister Modi on this matter.

With a box office target of over ₹1000 crores, "Pushpa 2" is set to release grandly on December 6. "Pushpa" already has a strong fan following in Russia, and Putin's recent assurances of support for Indian cinema promotions suggest that leveraging this opportunity to grandly release "Pushpa 2" in Russia would be beneficial.
