What is the relationship between Kavya Thapar and Shankar? What significance does Boka's (Ali) character have in the film? How's the Movie? The first half of the movie includes love and comedy tracks, laden with Telangana slang and mass festivities. Puri Jagannadh’s trademark punch dialogues and his style of comedy scenes are captivating. From the interval action sequence onwards, twists upon twists are revealed. Scenes featuring Ram and Sanjay Dutt are particularly striking. The climax twist takes the movie to the next level. Dialogues are a special attraction, with Ram's Telangana slang proverbs hitting the mark. Romantic scenes between Ram and Kavya Thapar, as well as the mind games between Ram and Sanjay Dutt, and the mother sentiment, are all interesting. Ram’s energetic performance is engaging. Ali’s comedy scenes are well-done. How Did They Perform? Ram Pothineni excels as iSmart Shankar. His acting in this film is triple times more mass-oriented than in the previous iSmart Shankar movie. It's evident from this film that he has put in an extraordinary effort. Sanjay Dutt as Big Bull delivers a superb performance, doing complete justice to his role. Kavya Thapar, as the heroine Jannat, fits perfectly into her role. Shaaji Shinde as a CBI officer, Bunny Jayashankar, Ram's mother played by Jhansi, Boka played by Ali, and Ram’s friend played by Getup Srinu all perform commendably within the scope of their roles. How's the Direction? After the flop of Liger, it is evident that Puri Jagannadh has written this film with great care. This film marks a comeback for Puri, who has effectively brought his envisioned story to life. The screenplay is also good. Puri Jagannadh has filled the film with elements that attract the youth. The scenes from the pre-climax to the climax elevate the movie to another level. Once again, Puri introduces the old charm with his trademark punch dialogues. The mother sentiment is good but could have been elevated further. Overall, Puri succeeded in making a film that appeals to the youth. Technically On a technical level, the film is of high quality. Being a woman, she initially receives little respect from her colleagues. One day, a corpse is discovered in a local pond. The post-mortem reveals that the victim was scalped and stabbed 16 times in the chest. Despite her superior’s orders to close the case, Brinda starts her investigation and uncovers a shocking truth. She discovers a pattern of 16 brutal murders. Consequently, senior police officials set up a special investigation team and include Brinda as a member. Who is the serial killer? Why are the murders being committed? How does Brinda’s team apprehend him? What is the connection of these murders to superstitions? Performances As police officer Brinda, Trisha captivates with her performance, portraying a dignified woman with conviction. She excels in action sequences. On the other hand, Anand Sami impresses as the villain, blending innocence with cruelty in his performance, becoming a highlight of the series. Indrajith and Ravindra Vijay perform well within their roles. The rest of the cast also manage to deliver decent performances. Direction On the narrative front, director Surya Manoj Vangal crafts this series with a conventional crime thriller theme but manages to engage the audience right from the beginning with a well-paced screenplay. The way the story intertwines incidents from the past and present is commendable. The investigation led by Brinda’s team unfolds intriguingly as they uncover each clue. However, the series seems elongated under the guise of detailed investigation, and some scenes of evidence collection stretch beyond logical reasoning. The portrayal of other police officers as unable to spot even minor clues does not quite impress. The subplot involving Trisha’s sister appears irrelevant to the main story. While the series spans eight episodes, some seem overly drawn out. Overall, the director successfully maintains engagement from start to finish. Technically... Technically, all departments have performed well. The background score, in particular, adds a significant plus to the film. The cinematography is also commendable. The editor could have tightened the work to benefit the pace. The production values are high.
