    A.R. Rahman is an Indian music director and singer. After his father's death at a young age, Rahman worked as an assistant in the music industry to support his family. He played various musical instruments in the troupe of renowned music directors like Ilaiyaraaja, Ramesh Naidu, and Raj Koti. He began his career with the movie "Roja" (1992), which brought him immense fame. With his debut film itself, he won a national award for Best Music Director. Rahman's style includes blending Indian classical music with electronic music and traditional orchestral arrangements. He has composed music in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam languages. He has provided music for hit films like "Rangeela" , "Lagaan" , "Rang De Basanti" , "Jodhaa Akbar" , "Ghajini" , "Robo" , "Roja" , "Gentlemen" , "Nani" , "Sakhi" , "Premadesam" , "Indian" , "Slumdog Millionaire", and has received numerous awards during his career, including two Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, four National Film Awards, fifteen Filmfare Awards, and thirteen South Filmfare Awards.
