K. Chakravarthi is a renowned music director in Telugu cinema. His real name is Kommineni Apparao. He introduced music to over 960 films in his career. He made his mark as a music director with the film "Mooga Prema" (1971). He provided music for hit films like "Vetagadu" , "Ammoru" , "Driver Ramudu" , "Padaharella Vayasu" , "Adavi Ramudu" , "Jaganmohini" , "Jebu Donga" , "Urvasi" , "Yamagola" , "Allari Bullodu" , "Mama Allulla Saval" , "Neti Bharatam" and more. Apart from being a music director, he also acted in several films, including "Raja" and "Ninnepremista." He received Nandi Awards for films like "Neti Bharatam" and "Sravana megalu." He worked as an assistant to Oscar-winning music director A.R. Rahman in his later career.
