Laxmikant-Pyarelal was an Indian composer duo consisting of Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar and Pyarelal Ramprasad Sharma. Known for his vibrant musical style, he was nicknamed Pyromaniac. Considered one of the most successful composers in the history of Hindi cinema, Pyarelal provided music for nearly 750 Hindi films from 1963 to 1998, working for almost all major filmmakers including Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, Shakti Samanta, Manmohan Desai, Yash Chopra, Boney Kapoor, J.
