Namrata Shirodkar is an Indian actress and former model. She primarily worked in Hindi films and became well-known. In 1993, she won the Femina Miss India title. She gained recognition through her roles in the films "Kachche Dhaage" (1999), "Ezhupunna Tharakan" (1999), "Vaastav: The Reality" (1999), "Pukar" (2000), "Astitva" (2000), "Dil Vil Pyar Vyar" (2002), "LOC Kargil" (2003), and "Bride & Prejudice" (2004). For "Pukar," she received the IIFA Award for Best Supporting Actress. The film "Bride & Prejudice" was particularly successful overseas, especially in the UK. In 2005, she married Telugu actor Mahesh Babu.
