He made his acting debut in 1970 with "Ara Nazhika Neram" and produced his first film "Peruvazhiyambalam" in 1979, which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam. Over his career, Prem Prakash has produced 19 films, including notable ones like "Koodevide" , "Akashadoothu" and "Ayalum Njanum Thammil" earning him several awards, including the Kerala State Film Award for Best Character Actor in 2015 for "Nirnayakam".
