Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam Movie Review: A Glimpse into the Struggles of Middle-Aged Unemployment Cast: Rao Ramesh, Indraja, Ankith Koyya, Ramya Pasupuleti, Harshavardhan, Ajay, Annapurnamma, Praveen, and others Written and Directed by: Lakshman Karya Music by: Kalyan Nayak Cinematography by: M.N. Bal Reddy Edited by: Bonthala Nageswara Reddy Presented by: Tabitha Sukumar Co-producers: Rushi Marl, Shivaprasad Marl Produced by: Bujji Rayudu Pentyala, Mohan Karya Release Date: August 23, 2024 Starring Rao Ramesh in the lead role, the film 'Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam' is directed by Lakshman Karya. Indraja, Ankith Koyya, and Ramya Pasupuleti play key roles. The film is presented by prominent director Sukumar's wife, Tabitha Sukumar. The presence of Allu Arjun at promotional events significantly attracted audience attention. Let's find out if the film was entertaining through this review. Plot Subramanyam (Rao Ramesh), a resident of Maruthi Nagar, was selected for a teaching job in 1998. However, due to a court stay, the job was put on hold indefinitely. Since then, he has resolved not to take up any other work and lives unemployed. His wife, Kalarani (Indraja), works as a clerk in a government office. They have a son, Arjun (Ankith Koyya), who falls in love with Kanchana (Ramya Pasupuleti) at first sight. Amidst hardships, one day, unexpectedly, Subramanyam's account receives ₹10 lakhs. Who deposited the money? Did Subramanyam finally get his government job or not? What did his son do to win his love? You'll have to watch the movie to find out. Performance There's nothing new to say about Rao Ramesh's acting; he perfectly embodied the character of Subramanyam throughout the film, utilizing his extensive experience. His son, played by Ankith, was quite captivating. After last week's 'Aay', he has impressed again in this film, and his antics provide a good dose of laughter. Ramya Pasupuleti, who played Kanchana, didn’t have much scope for acting but made a notable attempt at glamor. Indraja's role was limited; apart from being emotional in the beginning and dancing at the end, there wasn’t much for her. Other characters like Praveen, Harshavardhan, and Annapurnamma were satisfactory. Direction The director, Lakshman Karya, has woven the narrative around the unemployment struggles of a middle-aged man belonging to the middle class. His incorporation of natural scenarios with a touch of humor has been successful. The sudden change in Subramanyam's demeanor once money is deposited into his account, and the ensuing antics are the highlights. The second part of the movie, revolving around the problems after spending the money, is well-directed. Although predictable, Rao Ramesh’s timing and humor elevate the film. The plot twists in the climax add intrigue, but Ankith’s love track and some illogical scenes and unfunny comedy bits are downsides. Technically... On the technical front, every department has performed well. The cinematography is notably colorful, and the songs are pleasant to listen to. The background score effectively elevates the scenes. Editing is also decent. The production values appear quite rich. Plus Points - Rao Ramesh's acting - Comedy - Climax Minus Points - Ankith's love track - Predictable narrative Telugu.yousay.tv Rating : 3/5

'Pushpa 2' movie Review : THE BIGGEST INDIAN BLOCKBUSTER this season! Allu Arjun's Reign Begins Cast Allu Arjun, Rashmika, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Sunil, Anasuya, Rao Ramesh, Dhanunjaya, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Tarak Ponnappa, Ajay, Sritejas, and others Written and Directed by: Sukumar Music: Devi Sri Prasad Cinematography: Miroslaw Kuba Brozek Editing: Naveen Nooli Producers: Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Yalamanchili Production Houses: Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings Release Date: December 5, 2024 Everyone knows what a sensation "Pushpa" (2021) created when it was released with Allu Arjun in the lead role under Sukumar's direction. As a result, its sequel "Pushpa 2" has garnered nationwide attention. The movie features Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead opposite Bunny, while Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil plays the antagonist. The already-released trailer, teaser, promotional materials, and marketing campaigns have significantly raised expectations. The film team also conducted promotions in various major cities across the country, further increasing the hype. The film released worldwide on December 5th in Telugu, Hindi, and several other South Indian languages. So how is "Pushpa 2"? Did it impress the audience? Did it achieve blockbuster success? Let's find out in this review. Story Pushparaj (Allu Arjun), who started his journey as a red sandalwood coolie, rises to become the leader controlling a smuggling syndicate. He expands his syndicate's operations internationally and grows powerful enough to influence politics by funding the ruling party. During this time, his rivalry with SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat (Fahadh Faasil) intensifies. Despite his aggressive nature outside, Pushparaj never disobeys his wife Srivalli (Rashmika). One day, when Pushparaj sets out to meet the Chief Minister with MP Siddappa (Rao Ramesh), Srivalli eagerly asks him to get a photo with the CM. However, when Pushpa makes this request, the CM mocks him. This leads Pushpa to challenge that he will make MP Siddappa the Chief Minister. What does Pushpa do to achieve this? What's his conflict with Central Minister Veera Pratap Reddy (Jagapathi Babu)? What plans does SP Shekhawat devise to stop Pushpa? Does Pushpa keep his promise to Srivalli? The story revolves around these questions. Performances Bunny (Allu Arjun) once again excels as Pushpa Raj. He shows even more impact in terms of language and body language. He mesmerizes in fights and dances. Particularly, his acting in the Jatara episode and climax reaches another level. Rashmika as Srivalli delivers a memorable performance with great chemistry alongside Allu Arjun. Compared to the first part, she's given more glamorous scenes in the sequel. Her performance peaks in many scenes. Sreeleela enchants with the "Kissika" song, dazzling with her dance moves as usual. Fahadh Faasil performs well as Shekhawat, though the character loses some seriousness as the story progresses. Rao Ramesh impresses as the MP. Compared to the first part, Sunil and Anasuya's roles get less prominence. Jagapathi Babu as the Central Minister and Kannada actor Tarak Ponnappa make their presence felt in the story. Jagadeesh appears in a key role as Allu Arjun's friend. The rest of the cast performs adequately within their scope. Direction Compared to the first part, director Sukumar has expanded Pushpa Raj's territory further. He has incorporated his trademark psychological elements and mind games into the story. He keeps the audience energized with hero elevations throughout. Allu Arjun's introduction, the Tom and Jerry fight between Pushpa and Shekhawat, and the strategic moves are well portrayed. Though the story seems to move slowly, the interval bang takes it to another level. While showing Pushpa's business and political empires, the director effectively portrays his affection for Srivalli. The love and chemistry between Pushpa and Srivalli appear cute on screen. In the second half, the Gangamma Jatara episode is the highlight of the movie. Sukumar excellently showcases heroism and family emotions in this episode. The fights and family emotions in the climax are entertaining. However, the lack of strong villainy and excessive runtime can be considered drawbacks. In the crucial scenes, Sukumar has laid the groundwork for "Pushpa 3" with a twist and turn. Technical Aspects Technically, the movie is brilliant, with every department delivering excellent work. Devi Sri Prasad impresses with both songs and background score. Another music director, Sam CS, also captures attention with his background score. Kuba's camera work is a major plus for the movie, grandly capturing every episode. Srikant Vissa's dialogues are engaging. The editing could have been more careful. Mythri Movie Makers' production values are top-notch, with richness visible in every scene. Plus Points: Allu Arjun's performanceAction sequencesJatara episodeMusic Minus Points: Weakened villainySecond half pacing Telugu.yousay.tv Rating : 4/5

‘Kesava Chandra Ramavat (KCR)’ Review: Rocking Rakesh Shines in a Heartfelt Tribute with an Emotional Twist Cast: Rocking Rakesh, Ananya Krishnan, Lohith, Mime Madhu, Tanikella Bharani, Tagubothu Ramesh, Dhanraj, Jordar Sujatha, and othersDirector: Anji GarudavegaMusic: Charan ArjunEditor: Chintala MadhuProducer: Rocking RakeshProduction House: Green Tree ProductionsRelease Date: November 22, 2024 Comedian Rocking Rakesh stars in Kesava Chandra Ramavat (shortened as KCR), a film with an intriguing premise tied to the former Telangana Chief Minister, KCR. With Rakesh portraying a die-hard fan of KCR, the movie garnered significant hype. Directed by Anji Garudavega, the film also stars Ananya Krishnan, Tanikella Bharani, Dhanraj, and others. Did Rakesh impress in his lead role and justify the hype? Let’s find out in this review. The Plot Kesava Chandra Ramavat, alias KCR (Rocking Rakesh), hails from Rangabai Tanda in Warangal district and has been a devoted fan of K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) since childhood. Inspired by KCR’s speeches during the Telangana movement, Kesava grew up idolizing him. His cousin, Manju (Ananya Krishnan), is in love with him, but Kesava dreams of marrying a wealthy city girl, believing it would secure his future. Eventually, he gets engaged to the daughter of a rich man and vows to marry her in the presence of KCR. Determined to fulfill his promise, Kesava travels to Hyderabad to convince KCR to attend his wedding. What challenges does he face in the city? How does the ring road project create problems for his village? Does Kesava succeed in bringing KCR to his wedding? The answers form the crux of the story. Performances Rocking Rakesh delivers an earnest performance as a passionate KCR fan, showcasing his natural acting skills. His portrayal of a young man fighting for his village and dreams is convincing. Ananya Krishnan, playing Manju, does a decent job, though her role doesn’t offer much scope for acting. Lohith as Kesava’s father and Mime Madhu as his uncle stand out with their performances. Tagubothu Ramesh and Jordar Sujatha provide comic relief in their brief appearances. Tanikella Bharani, Dhanraj, and others perform adequately within their limited roles. Direction Director Anji Garudavega narrates the story of a simple Lambada youth’s journey from his village to the city, driven by his admiration for KCR. The film captures the emotional journey of Kesava, highlighting his struggles and dreams. The first half introduces Kesava, his village life, and his inspiration drawn from KCR’s speeches. The promise to bring KCR to his wedding adds intrigue to the second half. The challenges Kesava faces in Hyderabad and the emotional climax involving the ring road issue are handled well. However, the film’s overt focus on glorifying a political figure might limit its appeal. While it serves as a celebration for KCR fans and BRS supporters, its reception among general audiences remains uncertain. Technical Aspects Technically, the film is well-crafted. Director Anji Garudavega also impresses as a cinematographer. Charan Arjun’s songs and background score elevate the emotional sequences. The production values are commendable, reflecting a well-invested effort.
