    SV Ranga Rao is one of the legendary actors who left an indelible mark on the Telugu film industry. He was known for his expertise in all aspects of acting, including body language, vocal delivery, costume, and emotive expressions. Renowned for his natural acting style, he made his film debut in 1946 with the movie "Varoodhini." Over three decades, he acted in more than 300 films across Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi languages. He brought life to various characters in mythological and social dramas. Known for his versatility, he played iconic villainous roles like Ravana, Hiranyakashipu, Ghatotkacha, Kamsa, Keechaka, Narakasura, and many wizards, as well as numerous supporting roles. His performances in movies like "Patala Bhairavi" , "Mayabazar" and "Nartanasala" were pivotal. In Tamil cinema, he achieved fame with movies like "Annai" , "Sarada" and "Karpagam" and became a prominent supporting actor in both Telugu and Tamil. His role in "Patala Bhairavi" was so successful that Gemini Studios' S.S. Vasan made a Hindi version, where Ranga Rao reprised his role. His last film as an actor was "Yashoda Krishna" (1975).
