Singeetam Srinivasa Rao is one of the experimental directors in Telugu cinema. He has contributed numerous message-oriented films in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada languages, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of the audience. His directorial debut was with "Neeti-Nijayiti" in 1972. He has directed diverse films like "Mayuri" , "Pushpaka Vimanam" , "Aditya 369" , "Michael Madana Kama Raju" , "Madam" , "Apoorva Sahoodarulu" , "Amavasya Chandrudu" and "Bhairava Dweepam." Notably, "Aditya 369" was the first science fiction film in Telugu, directed by him. He was a disciple of the legendary director K.V. Reddy. Singitham received a lifetime achievement award in the Sakshi Excellence Awards.
