Uma Shankari is a prominent actress from South India, born to the renowned Kannada director Dr. Rajendra Babu and actress Sumithra. She studied BA in English Literature. Uma made her industry debut with "Veeranadai" (2000) and first appeared in Telugu cinema in "Ammo Bomma" (2001). She gained recognition with supporting roles in films like "Navvuthu Bathakalira" (2001), "Kalyana Ramudu" (2003), "Swamy" (2004), and "Lakshmi" (2006). Uma married software engineer H. Dushyanth on July 15, 2006.
