    Veeramachaneni Madhusudan Rao was among the first-generation directors in Telugu cinema. He established the Madhu Film Institute in Hyderabad, shaping many actors. He introduced Nagarjuna in "Vikram", Jagapathi Babu in "Simha Swapnam", and Ramesh Babu in "Samraat." His assistants, including K. Raghavendra Rao, Kodanda Rami Reddy, P.C. Reddy, G.C. Sekhar, Boyina Subba Rao, Vamsi, and Shiva Nageswara Rao, became prominent directors. His directorial debut was "Sati Tulasi." His other successful films include "Rakta Sambandham" , "Antastulu" , "Aastiparulu" , "Lav Kush (Hindi)" , "Bhakta Tukaram" , "Samraat" , "Taxi Ramudu" and "Edureeta." He married Sarojini Devi, who also worked with him in Praja Natya Mandali and produced the film "Chinnari Papalu", which entered the Guinness Book of Records for being entirely made by women.
