Vivek Athreya is a young Tollywood director who made his debut with the romantic comedy Mental Madhilo. He gained further recognition with the crime comedy Brochevarevarura. His recent film Ante Sundaraniki received critical acclaim. Born on October 18, 1989, in Guntur, Vivek Athreya’s parents both work for India Post. After completing his Electronics Engineering degree from Sastra University, he worked at IBM in Chennai for five years before resigning to pursue a career in filmmaking. He also revealed his writing talent by penning songs for the film Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi directed by Tharun Bhascker. His latest film Saripoda Saturday is performing exceptionally well at the box office.
