Satyadev shines once again in his role as Surya, proving his mettle as an actor. He seamlessly portrays a character that combines comedy, action, romance, and emotion. From a technical standpoint, Zebra impresses. Ravi Basrur’s background score is a significant asset, especially elevating the action sequences. However, the songs fail to leave a lasting impression. Sathya Ponmar’s cinematography captures the narrative’s essence beautifully, while the editing is adequate. The art department excels in recreating the bank setting, and the production values are top-notch.

He completely immersed himself in the character of Raayan, shining especially in action sequences and emotional scenes. Sundeep Kishan received a noteworthy role in this film, making a memorable impact. S.J. Surya and Prakash Raj fully justified their characters with their exceptional acting skills. Selvaraghavan, Dushara Vijayan, Aparna Balamurali, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar also captivated with their performances. Other actors too played their parts well within their limits.

On the narrative front, director Surya Manoj Vangal crafts this series with a conventional crime thriller theme but manages to engage the audience right from the beginning with a well-paced screenplay. The way the story intertwines incidents from the past and present is commendable. The investigation led by Brinda’s team unfolds intriguingly as they uncover each clue. However, the series seems elongated under the guise of detailed investigation, and some scenes of evidence collection stretch beyond logical reasoning. The portrayal of other police officers as unable to spot even minor clues does not quite impress. The subplot involving Trisha’s sister appears irrelevant to the main story. While the series spans eight episodes, some seem overly drawn out. Overall, the director successfully maintains engagement from start to finish.

Following the blockbuster 'RRR', Ram Charan is starring in 'Game Changer', a political drama directed by Tamil cinema's renowned director Shankar and produced by Tollywood's notable producer, Dil Raju. Recently, Dil Raju hinted at a Christmas release, which had mega fans celebrating. However, new issues have surfaced that could potentially delay the film's release this year.



What's the Reason?



There's strong buzz that 'Game Changer', starring mega power star Ram Charan, might not release this year as planned. Although initially set for a Christmas release, it's now uncertain due to incomplete shooting. It's reported that more than 15 days of shooting are still pending, and director Shankar is still scouting for new locations. This could mean more time is needed to finish the shooting, followed by post-production and dubbing, possibly pushing the release past December.







2024 Summer Release?



The 'Game Changer' film, a collaboration between Ram Charan and Shankar, might move from December to the summer of 2025. Even though there's a chance for a Sankranti release if December is missed, several films are already slated for the Pongal competition. The makers of megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Vishwambhara’ have announced a Sankranti release. Similarly, films starring Venkatesh and Anil Ravipudi, and Ajith’s ‘Good Bad Ugly’, and ‘Shatamanam Bhavati 2’ are also aiming for the same festive release. In this context, it seems unwise for the 'Game Changer' team to join the race. Given the exam season in February and March, cinema pundits are speculating a possible release during the summer holidays.







High Hopes on Game Changer!



Director Shankar’s recent release 'Indian 2' disappointed audiences, failing to meet expectations and earning criticism online. His previous films such as 'Robo 2.0', 'I', and 'Snehithudu' also underperformed at the box office. Therefore, 'Game Changer' has become crucial for Shankar to regain his successful track. Plot

Performances



In this film, 11 young actors play the lead roles. Sandeep Saroj as Shiva, Trinath Varma as Subbu, Eshwar Rachiraju as William, and Yashwant Pendyala as Surya have all made commendable efforts to engage the audience with their distinct performances. Director Yadhu Vamsi navigates the storyline set in the 90s, delicately touching upon the sensitive topic of reservations in society. The screenplay attempts to weave together friendship, love, caste issues, and politics. The dialogues, written in the local dialect of Godavari, and the vividly crafted festival scenes are particularly engaging. The first half progresses swiftly with typical Godavari-style comedy, and the interval builds intrigue. In the second half, the focus shifts more towards emotional scenes, though it feels slower compared to the first half. The scenes leading up to the climax offer a satirical take on today's political leaders. The love stories in the film are left somewhat unresolved, the resolution of the reservations issue is abruptly concluded, and some scenes feel unnecessarily stretched, which could be seen as drawbacks.







Technically



On the technical front, Anudeep Dev’s music stands out as a highlight of the film, especially the background score during the festival scenes. Cinematographer Raju’s camera work is commendable. The editing is adequate. The production values are high, showing that Niharika Konidela did not compromise on the budget.

How Did They Perform?



Hero Nani excelled in the role of Surya. He showcased his versatility in the action sequences. Nani's acting in this film is distinct from his previous movies. He also made his mark in emotional scenes. S.J. Suryah as the antagonist was compelling, dominating some scenes over Nani. Both their performances are definitely the highlights of the film. Priyanka Arul Mohan played a settled role as a lady constable, impressing in a character-driven role. The unique love track between Nani and Priyanka will appeal to the audience.
