The first glimpse of Aishwarya Rai as Queen Nandini from Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan: I’ (PS-1) is unveiled

Mani Ratnam’s dream project ‘Ponniyin Selvan: I’ (PS-1) started its rage on the internet. This long shelved, ambitious project of director Maniratnam is gearing up for release on September 30, 2022. The movie’s motion poster has been released by the producers. 

The makers have been revealing the first looks of the movie’s cast for the last few days. The posters of Karthi as Vanthiyathevan and Vikram as Aditya Karikalan have already been released. Fans were simply stunned by Vikram and Karthi’s first looks.

Universal beauty Aishwarya Rai Bacchan is playing the lead role in this epic saga. The first look of Aishwarya as Nandini was unveiled today. In her royal attire, the actress exudes grace. Aishwarya is playing the character of Nandini, the Queen of Pazhuvoor who has a close bond with Vengeance.

Ponniyin Selvan: I’ (PS-1) is an adaptation of Kalki Krishnamurthy’s 1955 novel, “Ponniyin Selvan,” which briefly tells the story of the most powerful Chola king, Arulmozhi Varma, who later evolved into Raja Raja Chola. The film is called the dream project of director Mani Ratnam. The creative director has been working on this project for the last four years.

‘Ponniyin Selvan: I’ (PS-1) starrs Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Karthi, Vikram Prabhu, Jayram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, and Shobitha Dhulipala in the key roles. The film is set for release on September 30, 2022.
