This Week’s OTT &  Telugu Movie Releases (12th  July)

Over the past two weeks, the only new movie released in theaters is ‘Kalki 2898 AD‘. Directors and producers have been hesitant to release their films alongside a movie featuring Prabhas, avoiding direct competition. This week we have a few biggies and a small-budget film.

Bharateeyudu 2

The duo of Kamal Haasan and director Shankar, who brought us ‘Bharateeyudu‘ about twenty-five years ago, which created a sensation addressing corruption and bribery, are back with a sequel. Titled ‘Bharateeyudu 2‘, the movie is set to hit theaters on July 12. Alongside Kamal, significant roles are played by Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, S.J. Surya, Bobby Simha, Brahmanandam, and Samuthirakani. The already released promos, trailers, and teasers have heightened expectations.

Sarangadariya

Directed by Padma Rao Abbishetti and starring Raja Ravindra, ‘Sarangadariya’ is set against the backdrop of struggles within a middle-class family. The film, intended for family viewing, will be released in theaters on July 12.

Maharaja

Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi, ‘Maharaja‘ has locked its OTT release date. From July 12, the movie will be available for streaming on Netflix in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, and Kannada. This film, marking the 50th in Vijay Sethupathi’s career, created a sensation in theaters and achieved remarkable box office success. Those who missed it in theaters are looking forward to its OTT release.

Dhoomam

Featuring Malayalam actor Fahad Faasil with Aparna Balamurali as the leading lady, ‘Dhoomam‘ is produced by Hombale Films and was released last year with moderate success. Now, it’s ready to captivate Telugu audiences. Streaming on the Telugu OTT platform Aha from July 11, the platform has released a special poster announcing the date.
