Directed by Ram Bhimana and starring actress Hasini as the female lead, this film tests Raj Tarun's ability to rebound. Let’s see if it has succeeded in giving him a hit in this review. What's the story? Rachit Ram (Raj Tarun) was born a billionaire, the sole heir of Aditya Ram (Murali Sharma), who heads PR Groups. After completing his education abroad, Aditya decides to entrust his son with the CEO responsibilities. However, Rachit's aunt Vasundhara (Ramya Krishnan) objects to this. According to company rules, a candidate for CEO must live incognito as a common man for 100 days. Rachit agrees to this and steps outside his comfort zone. He travels to a remote village in Andhra Pradesh named Rayapulanka. What twists did Rachit’s life take there? What adventures did he undertake to save the village farmers? And what is his love story with Ammu? That forms the rest of the story. Performances Raj Tarun delivers a commendable performance in dual dimensions as Rachit Ram, convincingly playing both a billionaire and an unidentifiable common man. Hasini Sudheer, as the village girl Ammu, shines beautifully on screen, and the love scenes between Raj Tarun and Ammu are pleasing. Praveen provides comic relief in the friend’s role, while other comedians like Satya and Brahmanandam shine throughout the film. Direction We've seen many films where a wealthy young man lives as a common man for various reasons. Director Ram Bhimana has crafted 'Purushothamudu' in a similar vein. The real story begins when the wealthy hero reaches the village of Rayapulanka. The introductions and romantic scenes with the heroine are engaging. The first half is entertaining with village backdrop comedy, and the hero's stance against injustices in the village makes for an appealing interval bang. However, the narrative seems to lose track in the second half, meandering predictably and boringly without any significant twists. The climax, although predictable, is somewhat saved by Prakash Raj's entry and his impactful dialogues. Director Ram Bhimana fails to bring any novelty to the story or narration. Technically Musically, Gopi Sundar’s contributions are just passable, with none of the songs being particularly memorable. The background score is decent. PG Vinda’s cinematography is impressive, capturing the essence of village life beautifully. The editing is adequate, and the production values are suitably high for the film. Plot Since childhood, Raghav (Priyadarsi) has dreamed of marriage and a honeymoon. Working as an agent in a travel agency, he finally seems poised to realize this dream when he becomes engaged to Nandini (Ananya Nagalla), a psychologist chosen by his father (Muralidhar Goud). However, his plans unravel when Nandini leaves him at the altar for another man. Heartbroken and on the brink of despair, Raghav's life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Anandi (Nabha Natesh). The two quickly fall in love and marry, but on their wedding night, Raghav discovers that Anandi has multiple personality disorder, hosting five distinct personalities: Aadi, Maya, Jhansi, Papa, and Srisri. Performance Priyadarsi, once again, charms as Raghav, fitting perfectly into his role with his distinctive comedic timing, delighting the audience. Nabha Natesh excels in a challenging role with various facets, carrying the film on her shoulders with a career-best performance. She brilliantly displays the variations of her split personalities. The funny scenes between Nabha Natesh and Priyadarsi are engaging, though the dubbing for Nabha Natesh's role could have been better. Supporting actors like Ananya Nagalla and Muralidhar Goud play their parts within limits. Guest appearances by Suhas, Brahmanandam, and Niharika Konidela also shine. Direction Director Aswin Ram attempts to present the complex concept of multiple personality disorder in a humorous light. The first half is swiftly paced with sequences of wedding preparations, a halted marriage, a suicide attempt, and the quick marriage to Anandi all unfolding in an entertaining manner. While the first half thrills and amuses the audience, the story seems to dull down in the second half. The backstory of the heroine and the repetitive narrative might bore the audience. The climax is particularly confusing. Despite the innovation, director Aswin Ram struggles to keep the film engaging throughout. Why did the public turn against Senapathi? What triggered their anger? Did Bharateeyudu succeed in his objectives upon returning? This forms the crux of the story. Performance  In 'Bharateeyudu 2', Kamal Haasan delivers a virtuoso performance, reprising the role of Senapathi with remarkable skill. Siddharth also stands out in a pivotal role. Rakul Preet Singh and S.J. Surya enhance the film with their performances, although their characters are somewhat underdeveloped. The rest of the cast delivers adequate performances. Direction Director Shankar seems to have merely repeated the narrative of Bharateeyudu. He updated an outdated story to fit modern times, focusing the sequel on showcasing how Bharateeyudu would eliminate corruption today. Shankar’s usual flair is missing in the direction. The screenplay is lackluster, and even Kamal Haasan's introduction isn't as engaging. While some scenes are well-executed, others fail to make an impact. However, Kamal Haasan's chase sequences and the fight scenes with terrorists are highlights. The social message adds some strength to the film, but the lack of father-daughter sentiment and uninspiring songs from the first film negatively impact this one. Overall, the sequel fails to mesmerize the audience as Senapathi did before.
