Under the direction of Mallik Ram and starring Siddu Jonnalagadda alongside Anupama Parameswaran, ‘Tillu Square‘ exceeded first-day expectations. Launched amid much anticipation, the film lived up to the hype, garnering positive buzz. On its opening day, the production team revealed that it amassed Rs. 23.7 crores globally, with domestic earnings of Rs. 12 crores and international figures hitting Rs. 11 crores. The team hinted at the film’s success with a poster captioned “Atluntadhi Manathoni,” suggesting ‘Tillu Square’ is creating a stir. With the weekend ahead, the film’s collections are poised for a significant uptick, marking Siddu Jonnalagadda’s most substantial Day 1 revenue to date.

Given the tremendous success of Siddu Jonnalagadda’s previous outing ‘DJ Tillu,’ and Anupama Parameswaran’s as heroine, and the enthusiastic reception of the trailer, ‘Tillu Square’ performed admirably in terms of theatrical business. The film managed to secure a pre-release business of Rs. 23.30 crores, with theatrical rights in the Telugu states fetching Rs. 18.50 crores and the rest of India plus overseas contributing Rs. 4.80 crores. Consequently, the film’s break-even point is pegged at Rs. 24 crores. With ‘Tillu Square’ already generating positive buzz, surpassing this threshold and turning a profit should be feasible, potentially within the next couple of days.

Siddu Jonnalagadda shines once more as DJ Tillu, captivating audiences in cinemas with his impeccable comedic timing. His charm in certain scenes was particularly striking. Anupama Parameswaran, taking on a revamped Radhika, wowed audiences, especially younger viewers, with her glamour. The interaction between Siddu and Anupama resonated well with the audience, their on-screen chemistry hitting just the right note. Their intimate scenes, including the lip-lock and bedroom scenes, were particularly engaging. Murali Sharma embodied his mafia don character with conviction, while Muralidhar Goud, playing Tillu’s father, delivered a commendable performance, his comedic timing adding to the film’s appeal.
