Introduction:

Allari Naresh, known for his impeccable comedic timing, has been making audiences laugh for years with his hit films like Allari, Kitakita, Bendu Apparao, Blade Babji, and Bommana Brothers Chandana Sisters. However, after facing a series of failures with his repetitive style of films, Naresh changed his course and started choosing serious subjects to showcase his acting prowess. His latest film Ugram, which hit the theaters today, portrays Naresh as a serious police officer and brings forth his mass hero image. In this review, we will explore if Naresh was able to hit the mark as a police officer or not.

Story:

The film revolves around the rampant issue of human trafficking in the city, which results in the disappearance of several girls. Even CI Sivakumar’s (Allari Naresh) family falls prey to this mafia. As Sivakumar sets out to investigate the issue, he faces his own personal demons in the form of a terrible flashback. Will Sivakumar be able to uncover the truth behind the human trafficking mafia? Acting:

Allari Naresh has done an impressive job in the role of a serious police officer. Naresh looks completely new in this movie, and he has done justice to his character with his brilliant acting skills. He has completely immersed himself in the role and nailed it with his body language and gestures. Mirna Menon, who plays the female lead, has also done a commendable job. She competes with Naresh and delivers a noteworthy performance. Other actors like Indraja, Sarath Lohitshwa, Kaushik Mehta, and others have also acted well and impressed.

Technical Aspects:

Director Vijay Kanakamedala has chosen a good storyline, and his setup is also impressive. However, most of the scenes feel too routine, and the film is filled with heroism and elevation scenes to cater to the commercial elements. The director has failed to create interest in the audience as to what is the next scene. Siddharth Jadhav’s cinematography is good in certain scenes. Saicharan Pakala’s music is just okay, and the background score is decent.
