The road transport ministry is making moves to make six airbags mandatory for cars in India.
Here is the list of most affordable cars with 6 airbags
Baleno - 8.5 lakhs and above
Maruthi has added a lot of safety features; its top-of-the-line Zeta and Alpha editions of the Baleno hatchback now include six airbags (driver, front passenger, two curtain, driver side, front passenger side).
Glanza - 8.5 Lakhs and above
The Toyota Glanza top model with
V AMT, which competes with the Baleno, also has 6 airbags. The Glanza and Baleno are the least expensive cars with six airbags.
Kia Carens - 9 Lakhs and above
South Korean automotive giant Kia is renowned for its over-the-top safety features in its cars. Kia is offering six airbag features in its six-seater MUV, the Carens.
Ford Ecosport - 9.3 Lakhs and above
The top model of the Ford EcoSport S MT 1.5 TDCi has six airbags. It has a 4-star NCAP rating. The cars also come with other safety features such as pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking and
a Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with cross-traffic alert.
Hyundai i20, Asta - 9.41, N line - 12 Lakhs and above
Two Hyundai i20 variants, the Asta and N lines, come with the six airbag safety feature. These two vehicles each have a three-star NCAP rating.
Venue - 11 lakhs and above
