Starring Harsha Narra, Sandeep Saroj, Tarun, Supraj Ranga, Sonu Thakur, Meghalekha, and Khushboo Choudhary, "Roti Kapada Romance" is a youthful entertainer directed by Vikram Reddy. The movie, jointly produced by Bekkem Venugopal and Srujan Kumar Bojjam, finally hits the theaters after multiple delays. Released on November 28th, this film draws the youth in. But does it truly captivate its audience? Let’s delve into this review and find out!
What’s the Story?
Event organizer Harsh (Harsha Narra), software engineer Rahul (Sandeep Saroj), RJ Surya (Tarun), and Vicky (Supraj Ranga) have been close friends since childhood, sharing the same room and living together joyfully. Vicky, however, lives off his friends without engaging in any work. Their peaceful life takes a turn when four girls enter the scene. Divya (Nuvveksha) pairs up with RJ Surya, Sonia (Khushboo Choudhary) with Harsh, Shweta (Meghalekha) with Vicky, and Priya (Thakur) with Rahul. How do these relationships transform their lives? What challenges do they face due to these romantic entanglements? Why do they end up breaking up? What realization do these young men come to after their breakups? To know, one must watch the movie.
Performance Analysis
Despite being mostly newcomers, everyone in this film has performed their roles admirably. Harsha Narra, Sandeep Saroj, Tarun, and Supraj Ranga, as the lead actors, have captivated the audience with their unique acting skills. Vicky’s character, in particular, is memorable. The four leading ladies have also charmed the viewers thoroughly. The entire movie revolves around these four couples, while the supporting cast has done justice to their roles.
Direction
Director Vikram Reddy has shaped this film around the concept of how the lives of four young men change after four young women enter their world. While the themes of friendship, love, and breakups have been explored in many films before, the director has managed to present these in a fresh way. The portrayal of four distinct love stories in one frame has worked well. The director successfully highlights the contemporary youth’s challenges in love and their thoughts on marriage, extracting excellent performances from the cast, despite their inexperience. However, some scenes might feel repetitive, and the lack of a star cast and commercial elements could be seen as drawbacks.
Technically Speaking
On the technical front, all departments have performed well. The background score by Sunny MR, Harshavardhan Rameshwar, and RR Dhruvan has added a significant plus to the movie. The songs, fitting well with the contexts, are appealing. The cinematography is good, with visuals appearing fresh. Editing is adequate, and the production values are commendable.

Minus Points

Mechanic Rocky Review: Can Vishwak Sen Deliver a Hat-Trick with This Love-Triangle Thriller?
Cast: Vishwak Sen, Meenakshi Choudhary, Shraddha Srinath, Sunil, Naresh, Hyper Aadi, Harsha Vardhan, and othersWriter & Director: Raviteja MullapudiMusic: Jakes BejoyCinematography: Manoj Reddy KatasaniEditing: Anwar AliProducer: Ram TalluriRelease Date: November 22, 2024
Young hero Vishwak Sen has already impressed Telugu audiences this year with Gaami and Gangs of Godavari. Now, he returns with Mechanic Rocky, aiming to charm audiences once again. The film, co-starring Meenakshi Choudhary and Shraddha Srinath, was released grandly on November 22 under the direction of Raviteja Mullapudi. Let’s see how the film turned out and whether Vishwak scored a hat-trick.
The Plot
Rocky (Vishwak Sen) drops out of his B.Tech and joins his father Ramakrishna's (Naresh) garage as a mechanic. Alongside repairing vehicles, he also teaches driving. Maya (Shraddha Srinath) and Priya (Meenakshi Choudhary) join him to learn driving. During his college days, Rocky falls for Priya, but they part ways after he quits his studies. Years later, Rocky meets Priya again. Does he get closer to her? What shocking truths does Rocky discover about Priya? How does Maya influence their lives? Who is Ranki Reddy (Sunil), and what problems does he bring into Rocky’s life? The answers lie in the film.
The Performances
Vishwak Sen delivers yet another settled performance, impressing audiences with his energetic portrayal. His punchlines bring humor and charm to his character. Meenakshi Choudhary and Shraddha Srinath shine in their significant roles, with their chemistry and expressions stealing the spotlight. Their on-screen competition in certain scenes enhances the narrative. Vishwak and Meenakshi's chemistry works well, and their romantic track is engaging. Supporting actors like Sunil, Naresh, and Harsha Vardhan also have impactful roles, with Harsha Chemudu’s comedy bringing occasional laughs.
Direction
Director Raviteja Mullapudi combines a love triangle with a crime thriller, aiming to connect with today’s audience. While the story has strong elements, excessive commercial touches and unnecessary comedy dilute the impact. The first half focuses on character introductions, love tracks, and songs, making it feel somewhat routine and stretched. However, the second half gains momentum, with unexpected twists and turns that elevate the film. The narrative effectively portrays how middle-class dreams can be exploited by others. Had the first half been more engaging, the film could have become a blockbuster.
Technical Aspects
From a technical standpoint, the film excels. Jakes Bejoy’s background score significantly enhances the storytelling. The cinematography is top-notch, capturing the essence of the film’s mood. However, the editing in the first half could have been sharper. The production values are impressive and align well with the film’s tone.
Strengths

Weaknesses

Nikhil's 'Appudo Ippudo Eppudo' Review: A London Love Story That Misses Its Mark
Cast: Nikhil, Divyansha Kaushik, Satya, Ajay, Sai Ram Reddy, Rukmini Vasanth, Harsha Chemudu, and others
Writer, Director: Sudheer Varma
Music: Karthik
Cinematography: Richard Prasad
Editing: Naveen Nooli
Producer: B.V.S.N. Prasad
Release Date: November 8, 2024
The latest film ‘Appudo Ippudo Eppudo’ features young hero Nikhil, directed by Sudheer Varma, known for films like ‘Swamy Ra Ra’ and ‘Keshava.’ Produced by B.V.S.N. Prasad and presented by B. Bapineedu, Rukmini Vasanth plays the lead actress, with Divyansha Kaushik in a key role. The film hit theaters on November 8. How does it fare? Does it captivate the Telugu audience? Has it brought success to Nikhil? Let’s find out in this review.
Story
Rishi (Nikhil), from Hyderabad, is a carefree young man with little interest in his career. He falls for Tara (Rukmini Vasanth) at first sight. However, due to certain dramatic events, their love ends in a breakup. After the heartbreak, Rishi shifts his focus to his career and moves to London. There, he trains as a racer while taking up odd jobs for pocket money. During this time, he becomes close to Tulasi (Divyansha Kaushik) and even decides to marry her. But Tulasi suddenly goes missing. Meanwhile, Tara, the girl he once loved, unexpectedly shows up in London, and Rishi finds himself entangled with a local don, Badrinarayana (John Vijay). Who is Badrinarayana? What happened to Tulasi? Why did Tara come to London? To find out, you’ll have to watch the movie.
Performances
Hero Nikhil captivates as usual with his steady performance, entertaining the audience with his looks and comic timing, though there are no particularly striking moments in his role. Rukmini Vasanth impresses with her natural acting, skillfully expressing emotions and proving herself as a talented actress once again. Divyansha Kaushik shines in her role as Tulasi, a character with negative shades, and receives good marks for her looks and glamour. Comedian Harsha Chemudu’s timing brings laughs, while John Vijay and Ajay’s roles are average. Satya and Sudarshan add momentum to the storyline.
Direction
Director Sudheer Varma opted for a routine story for ‘Appudo Ippudo Eppudo’ but managed to infuse his mark through storytelling and screenplay. Notably, he introduces the story from the perspective of a third person (comedian Satya), which adds interest. However, the two love tracks between the hero and heroines feel tedious. The introduction of the hero and his first love track make the first half feel slow, while the second half is somewhat better. The director struggles with key scenes, and the twists reveal poorly. Nevertheless, he manages to keep the film afloat to some extent with the comedy of Harsha Chemudu, Satya, and Sudarshan. The film lacks commercial appeal, and weak action sequences are additional drawbacks.
Technically
In terms of technical work, Richard Prasad’s cinematography is good, while Karthik’s songs are average. The background score is passable, editing is adequate, and the production values match the story well.

Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam Movie Review: A Glimpse into the Struggles of Middle-Aged Unemployment
Cast: Rao Ramesh, Indraja, Ankith Koyya, Ramya Pasupuleti, Harshavardhan, Ajay, Annapurnamma, Praveen, and others
Written and Directed by: Lakshman Karya
Music by: Kalyan Nayak
Cinematography by: M.N. Bal Reddy
Edited by: Bonthala Nageswara Reddy
Presented by: Tabitha Sukumar
Co-producers: Rushi Marl, Shivaprasad Marl
Produced by: Bujji Rayudu Pentyala, Mohan Karya
Release Date: August 23, 2024
Starring Rao Ramesh in the lead role, the film 'Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam' is directed by Lakshman Karya. Indraja, Ankith Koyya, and Ramya Pasupuleti play key roles. The film is presented by prominent director Sukumar's wife, Tabitha Sukumar. The presence of Allu Arjun at promotional events significantly attracted audience attention. Let's find out if the film was entertaining through this review.
Plot
Subramanyam (Rao Ramesh), a resident of Maruthi Nagar, was selected for a teaching job in 1998. However, due to a court stay, the job was put on hold indefinitely. Since then, he has resolved not to take up any other work and lives unemployed. His wife, Kalarani (Indraja), works as a clerk in a government office. They have a son, Arjun (Ankith Koyya), who falls in love with Kanchana (Ramya Pasupuleti) at first sight. Amidst hardships, one day, unexpectedly, Subramanyam's account receives ₹10 lakhs. Who deposited the money? Did Subramanyam finally get his government job or not? What did his son do to win his love? You'll have to watch the movie to find out.
Performance
There's nothing new to say about Rao Ramesh's acting; he perfectly embodied the character of Subramanyam throughout the film, utilizing his extensive experience. His son, played by Ankith, was quite captivating. After last week's 'Aay', he has impressed again in this film, and his antics provide a good dose of laughter. Ramya Pasupuleti, who played Kanchana, didn’t have much scope for acting but made a notable attempt at glamor. Indraja's role was limited; apart from being emotional in the beginning and dancing at the end, there wasn’t much for her. Other characters like Praveen, Harshavardhan, and Annapurnamma were satisfactory.
Direction
The director, Lakshman Karya, has woven the narrative around the unemployment struggles of a middle-aged man belonging to the middle class. His incorporation of natural scenarios with a touch of humor has been successful. The sudden change in Subramanyam's demeanor once money is deposited into his account, and the ensuing antics are the highlights. The second part of the movie, revolving around the problems after spending the money, is well-directed. Although predictable, Rao Ramesh’s timing and humor elevate the film. The plot twists in the climax add intrigue, but Ankith’s love track and some illogical scenes and unfunny comedy bits are downsides.
Technically...
On the technical front, every department has performed well. The cinematography is notably colorful, and the songs are pleasant to listen to. The background score effectively elevates the scenes. Editing is also decent. The production values appear quite rich.
Plus Points
- Rao Ramesh's acting
- Comedy
- Climax
Minus Points
- Ankith's love track
- Predictable narrative
