Having been nominated in various categories eight times before, Nolan has finally won the Oscar for Best Director. Following its success at the Oscars, there are plans to re-release ‘Oppenheimer’ worldwide in over a thousand theaters.
Eightfold Profits
Christopher Nolan has directed 13 films so far, each unique in its way. His previous film, ‘Tenet,’ set a new trend in Hollywood, distinct from any other Hollywood film released until then. As for ‘Oppenheimer,’ Nolan produced this biopic with a budget of 100 million dollars. Following its release, the film not only created a sensation but also amassed 900 million dollars in revenue, securing a place among the top-5 highest-grossing Hollywood films.
The Story of the Film
‘Oppenheimer’ is based on the life story of the renowned American scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer, known as the father of the atomic bomb. The film explores how his journey began, why America had to develop the atomic bomb, why the bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan, Oppenheimer’s mental state following the bombings, and the changes in his life thereafter.
