Rajamouli vs Sukumar: Sukumar's Upper Hand in This Aspect Leaves Rajamouli Behind!
Rajamouli vs Sukumar: Sukumar's Upper Hand in This Aspect Leaves Rajamouli Behind!
When it comes to top directors in Tollywood, visionary filmmaker Rajamouli comes to mind first. Through the film RRR, Rajamouli elevated the Telugu film industry's reputation to Oscar-level fame. However, Rajamouli failed in one aspect: transforming his assistant directors into top directors. In this regard, director Sukumar has achieved immense success. Several directors who learned under Sukumar have demonstrated their prowess through hit films. Let's now see who these directors are. Sukumar's Assistant Directors Srikanth Odela Srikanth Odela is currently making waves in Tollywood. With his debut film, Srikanth shattered box office records. His film 'Dasara' starring Nani entered the 100-crore club. Before this film, Srikanth worked as an assistant director under Sukumar. He contributed significantly to the success of the films Nannaku Prematho and Rangasthalam. Sukumar once mentioned that Rangasthalam wouldn't have been such a great success without Srikanth Odela, which speaks to the director's talent. https://telugu.yousay.tv/en/a-story-of-passion-and-patience-srikanth-odelas-four-year-journey-to-work-with-sukumar-and-direct-dasara.html Buchi Babu Sana Buchi Babu is another individual who began as Sukumar's assistant director and later became a successful director. With his first film, Uppena, Buchi Babu created a sensation. He skillfully applied the lessons taught by Sukumar and showed his mark with his very first film. He presented debut hero Vaishnav Tej and heroine Krithi Shetty beautifully on screen. Uppena's massive success led to Buchi Babu getting the chance to direct a film with Ram Charan. Ram Charan himself announced that Buchi Babu would direct his 16th film. Palnati Surya Pratap Emerging from Sukumar's directorial school, Palnati Surya Pratap also managed to secure a significant hit with his debut film. He demonstrated his talent through the film "Kumari 21F". Recently, Surya directed the movie "18 Pages" starring hero Nikhil and heroine Anupama. This classic love story has garnered a good buzz. Surya also worked as a screenwriter for Sukumar's films such as "1: Nenokkadine", "Rangasthalam", and "Pushpa". Rajamouli's Assistant Directors: G.R. Krishna Tollywood director G.R. Krishna initially worked as an assistant director under Rajamouli. He played a vital role in the success of the film "Simhadri". Krishna was introduced as a director with the movie "Aadu Magadra Bujji", but he couldn't achieve success in the expected range. His subsequent film "Iddari Lokam Okate" also failed at the box office. Since 2019, Krishna hasn't been able to helm another film in Tollywood. Karuna Kumar Another Tollywood director, Karuna Kumar, also learned filmmaking under Rajamouli. He went on to direct several films but couldn't make a mark. His debut film "Palasa" received positive talk but failed at the box office. Later, movies like "Metro Kathalu", "Sridevi Soda Center", and "Kalapuram" failed to impress the audience. Ashwin Gangaraju Director Ashwin Gangaraju also worked as an assistant director under Rajamouli. He played a crucial role in the success of "Baahubali-1" and "Baahubali-2". In 2021, Ashwin made his directorial debut with the film "Aakashavaani", but the movie did not perform well. Rajamouli's Heroes and their Flops...! Not only Rajamouli's protégés but also the heroes who have worked with him in movies seem to experience failure in their subsequent films, which is quite surprising. Jr. NTR Rajamouli made his first film 'Student No.1' with Jr. NTR, which became a super hit. However, Jr. NTR's next film 'Subbu' flopped. Rajamouli then made 'Simhadri' with Jr. NTR, which was another massive hit. But after that, Jr. NTR's 'Andhrawala' failed at the box office. Rajamouli directed the film 'Yamadonga' with Jr. NTR, and then his next film 'Kantri' turned out to be a disaster. Prabhas In 2005, Rajamouli made the movie 'Chatrapathi' with Prabhas, which was a huge hit. However, Prabhas' next film 'Pournami' was a flop and left him disappointed. After 'Chatrapathi', Rajamouli made 'Baahubali' and 'Baahubali 2' with Prabhas, which elevated Tollywood's range and made Prabhas a pan-India star. Unfortunately, Prabhas' subsequent films 'Saaho' and 'Radhe Shyam' received flop talk. Ram Charan Before 'RRR', Rajamouli made the movie 'Magadheera' with Ram Charan. Released in 2009, the film shook the silver screen. However, Ram Charan's 2010 film 'Orange' was a major failure. Sunil, who worked with Rajamouli on 'Maryada Ramanna', also faced difficulties finding success after that film. Similarly, Nani experienced a flop after Rajamouli's film 'Eega'. Nani and Samantha's film 'Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu' also failed at the box office."

Nitish Kumar Reddy: The SRH Sensation Shining in IPL - Is He Team India's Next Great All-Rounder?
Nitish Kumar Reddy: The SRH Sensation Shining in IPL - Is He Team India's Next Great All-Rounder?
In the IPL 2024 season, during the match against Punjab Kings on Tuesday, Sunrisers player, the Telugu lad Nitish Kumar Reddy, created havoc. He captivated everyone with his spectacular batting and bowling performance. Especially when the team was in trouble, Nitish came to bat and surprised everyone with his explosive innings. Despite the falling wickets on one end, he didn’t bow down to Punjab bowlers, showcasing his prowess with fours and sixes. Particularly in the 15th over bowled by Harpreet Brar, he thrashed the balls to all corners, securing 22 runs with two sixes and two fours. In this match, facing 37 balls, Nitish scored 64 runs including 4 fours and 5 sixes, playing a pivotal role in the team's victory. Consequently, praises are pouring in from all quarters for him. Nitish’s Heroic Performance In the match against Punjab Kings on Tuesday, Sunrisers Hyderabad, having won the toss, chose to bat. Sunrisers batters like Abhishek Sharma (16), Travis Head (21), and Aiden Markram (0) got out early, putting SRH in a tough spot at 39 runs for 3 wickets. It was then, Nitish Kumar Reddy from Visakhapatnam, who came in and showed his mettle with the bat against Punjab Kings bowlers. Even after Rahul Tripathi (11) and Heinrich Klaasen (9) got out, Nitish didn’t slow down. He completed his half-century in just 32 balls. Nitish’s stunning innings helped Sunrisers Hyderabad to put up a score of 189 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs. In return, they restricted Punjab Kings to 180/6, registering their third victory of the season. https://twitter.com/i/status/1778001568648081563 Base price of Rs. 20 Lakhs In 2023, Nitish was bought by Sunrisers for a base price of Rs. 20 lakhs. He didn't get much opportunity in his first season. This season, Sunrisers planned to utilize him as a finisher. Accordingly, he was sent earlier in the batting order in the match against Chennai (CSK vs SRH), playing in the lower middle order. In that match’s chase, Nitish scored 14 runs off 8 balls, leading the team to victory. Recognizing his talent, the Sunrisers' management sent him earlier to bat in the match against Punjab. Seizing the opportunity, Nitish hit a half-century and played a vital role in the match. He also made a mark in bowling with figures of 1/33, earning the Player of the Match title. About Nitish Kumar Reddy Nitish Kumar Reddy was born on May 26, 2003, in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, into a lower middle-class family. His father, Muthyala Reddy, previously worked for Hindustan Zinc. Nitish started playing cricket at the age of five, beginning with plastic ball cricket while growing up watching matches at the Hindustan Zinc company ground. Encouraged by his father, he chose cricket as his career. Early in his career, Nitish Kumar Reddy attended camps set up in the Visakhapatnam grounds and later joined the ACA Academy in Kadapa with the help of former chief selector MSK Prasad, where he honed his skills further. Playing as an opener in age-group cricket, Nitish Kumar Reddy also made a mark as a medium pacer. Representing the under-19 B team, he showcased his talent prominently. Making his first-class cricket debut in the 2019-20 Ranji season, Nitish has since played 7 matches, scoring one century and a half-century to accumulate 366 runs. https://twitter.com/i/status/1777940241199800507 Has Another Pace All-Rounder Been Found? The Indian team has always been in search of a reliable pace all-rounder since Kapil Dev. Although Hardik Pandya made an impact as a pace all-rounder for a while, injuries during crucial tournaments have been a setback for the team. Attempts with players like Vijay Shankar and Venkatesh Iyer haven't made a significant impact. Shivam Dube, focusing more on his batting, hasn’t shown much promise with his pace. Despite ongoing BCCI searches for a pace all-rounder, Nitish's versatile batting style and distinctive bowling seem to fit the bill. Analysts suggest that if Nitish continues to perform consistently in this tournament and maintains his fitness, he may have a chance of getting selected for the upcoming T20 World Cup. They also speculate that Nitish could be considered as a backup for Hardik Pandya.

My Dear Donga Movie Review: Abhinav Gomatam Dazzles in the movie with Comedy
My Dear Donga Movie Review: Abhinav Gomatam Dazzles in the movie with Comedy
Cast: Abhinav Gomatam, Shalini Kandepudi, Divya Sripada, Nikhil Gajul, Shashank Manduri, Vamshidhar Goud Director: BS Sarvajna Kumar Writer: Shalini Kondepu Music: Ajay Arasada Editor: Sai Murali Cinematography: SS Manoj Producer: Maheshwar Reddy Gojal Streaming Platform: Aha Comedian Abhinav Gomatam stars in the main role in 'My Dear Donga', with Shalini Kandepudi playing another key role. This film targets OTT audiences and is streaming on the popular OTT platform Aha. So, how is the movie? Does it entertain OTT viewers or not? Let’s examine it in this review. What's the story? Sujatha (Shalini) and Doctor Vishal (Nikhil Gajul) are in a relationship. Initially, everything seems perfect, but soon Sujatha notices a change in Vishal; he becomes constantly busy and distant. During this time, Suresh (Abhinav Gomatam) breaks into her apartment intending to steal. Concurrently, Vishal, planning to celebrate Shalini’s birthday, shows up with his friends. After talking with Vishal earlier, Sujatha introduces him to her friends as an old childhood friend. Despite knowing Suresh is a thief, Sujatha forms a friendship with him. Why does she choose to befriend Suresh? What are their family backgrounds? And why does Vishal end up going to the police station? How did they perform? Actress Shalini effectively drives the narrative, seamlessly fitting into the role of Sujatha and particularly shining with her expressive performance in key scenes. Abhinav consistently brings humor to the film with his comedic timing. Nikhil is well-suited as Doctor Vishal, who is in love with Sujatha. Divya Sripada, Shashank as her romantic interest, and Vamshidhar Goud as a waiter, all deliver solid performances. How's the direction? Director BS Sarvajna Kumar aims to capture the mindset of contemporary lovers with his distinctive approach. The film begins at a leisurely pace, focusing on Sujatha’s employment woes, her friendships, and her romantic involvement with Vishal, but the pace intensifies once Suresh enters Sujatha's apartment. The comedy track featuring Abhinav Gomatam is a highlight, designed to elicit laughs from the audience. However, the way Sujatha and Suresh discuss their family backgrounds tends to muddle the storyline. The emotional sequences could have packed a greater punch. Despite this, the director has skillfully kept the film family-friendly, avoiding any crassness often masked as humor. Yet, some may find the narrative’s slow progression slightly tedious. Technically Speaking of the technical department, the music, cinematography, and editing are adequate. The production values are also suitable for the film. Plus Points - Acting of Shalini, Abhinav Gomatam - Comedy scenes Minus Points - Slow-paced narrative Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 3/5

Mayank Markande  While the Sunrisers Hyderabad have a formidable batting lineup, they initially lacked a star spinner. However, young spinner Mayank Markande has been gradually filling this gap. He has effectively contained opponents with his spin bowling. So far, in the five matches he has played, Mayank has taken 5 wickets with an economy of 11.24. Bhoothaddam Bhaskar Narayana Review: Movie is Captivating with Thrilling Elements.
Cast: Shiva Kandukuri, Rashi Singh, Devi Prasad, Varshini Sounderajan, Shiva Kumar, Shafi, Surabhi Santosh, Sivanarayana, Venkatesh Kakumanu, and others. Director: Purushotham Raj Music Directors: Sricharan Pakala, Vijay Bulganin Cinematographer: Gautham Ji Producers: Snehal Jangala, Sashidhar Kasi, Karthik Mudimbi Release Date: March 01, 2024 Tollywood has seen numerous detective movies over the years, from Chiranjeevi's 'Chantabbai' to the recent 'Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya', all of which have provided immense entertainment to the audience. The latest addition to the detective genre is 'Bhoothaddam Bhaskar Narayana'.  However, director Purushotham Raj has taken an interesting turn by intertwining the detective narrative with mythological elements. Shiva Kandukuri plays the protagonist in this film. Let's see how the movie is and did the detective managed to impress this time. Story Serial killings target women along the borders of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka in 'Bhoothaddam Bhaskar Narayana'. The killer beheads the women and places evil eye dolls in their place. These consecutive murders become a perplexing case for the police. To solve this case, local detective Bhaskar Narayana (Shiva Kandukuri) steps in. What happened next? Did the detective solve the case? Or not? Who is this serial killer? To know these, one must watch the movie. Performances Shiva Kandukuri has seamlessly fit into the role of a detective. He has showcased versatility in his performance. He brought energy to the lighter scenes in the first half and displayed strong impact in the serious scenes of the second half. Rashi Singh looked beautiful as the heroine and played a significant role as reporter Lakshmi. Shafi, Devi Prasad, Sivanarayana, Shiva Kumar, and others have lived up to their roles within their limits. Direction Director Purushotham Raj has chosen an intriguing story. The way he blended the detective story with mythological elements is interesting. Presenting the hero as a perfect local detective connects well with everyone. The proceedings of the murders, the police investigation, the hero's entry into the case, and the challenges he faces are all engaging. The twists in the second half increase the suspense. However, some scenes, especially in the first half, feel a bit theatrical and act as speed bumps. Overall, Purushotham Raj's direction is engaging. Technically Technically, the film stands high. The music, camera work, editing, and art departments have all delivered quality work. The background score is a major plus for the movie. The production values are evident, showing no compromise on the budget. Plus Points - Hero's performance - Mythological backdrop in the story - Second half Minus Points - Some scenes in the first half Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 3/5

Chaari 111 Review: Vennela Kishore Impresses as a Spy Agent
Chaari 111 Review: Vennela Kishore Impresses as a Spy Agent
Cast: Vennela Kishore, Samyuktha Viswanathan, Murali Sharma, and others Director: TG Keerthi Kumar Music Directors: Simon K King Cinematographer: Richard Kevin A Editor: Kaashish Grover Producer: Aditi Soni Vennela Kishore stars as the hero in the spy action fun entertainer 'Chaari 111', directed by TG Keerthi Kumar. Samyuktha Viswanathan plays the female lead opposite Vennela Kishore, with Murali Sharma in a pivotal role. Simon K. King has provided the music for this film, which hit the screens today. Let's see how much it managed to impress the audience and whether Vennela Kishore has captivated the viewers in his hero role in this review. Plot Chaari (Vennela Kishore) is an agent at Rudranetra, a spy agency, who constantly makes silly mistakes and gets scolded by his boss, Rao (Murali Sharma). Amidst this, a human bomb blast occurs in the city. Chaari is assigned as an agent to solve this crime. Eesha (Samyuktha Viswanathan) is also included in this mission as 'Plan B'. Who is behind this crime? Why did they plan the blasts? How did Chaari find him? What's the love story between Chaari and Eesha? That's the story. Performances Vennela Kishore has delivered a fantastic performance in this film. As agent Chaari, he induces laughter with his signature style while making silly mistakes. He steals the show in the climax action scenes and showcases his emotional range in different scenes from his previous films. Samyuktha Viswanathan has done a good job as the female lead. Murali Sharma and comedian Satya also captivate with their performances. Other actors, including Brahmanandam, have performed well within the scope of their roles. Direction Director TG Keerthi Kumar's main storyline and some comedy scenes are quite good. However, the single-line story and the routine, uninteresting narration are drawbacks. Constantly making Chaari commit silly mistakes becomes tedious for the audience after a point. Despite some good comedy making and funny dialogues, the lack of gripping scenes and illogical sequences slow down the film. The crucial flashback scene and the climax also fail to satisfy. The villain's character conclusion could have been better executed. Technically On the technical front, Simon K. King's background score is adequate. Cinematographer Richard Kevin's work is a major strength of the film, capturing every frame effectively. The editing is also commendable. Producer Aditi Soni's production values are high, with no compromise visible in the quality. Plus Points - Vennela Kishore's acting - Comedy - Cinematography Minus Points - Slow narration - Lack of engaging scenes Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 2.5/5

Sundaram Master Review: 'Viva Harsha' Charms as 'Sundaram Master'.
Cast: Harsha Chemudu, Divya Sripada, Chaitu Babu Written & Directed by: Kalyan Santosh Music: Sai Charan Pakala Cinematography: Deepak Bhagavathula Editor: Karthik Unnav Producers: Raviteja, Sudheer Kumar Kurru Release Date: 23-02-2024 Comedian Harsha Chemudu, in the lead role, stars in the film 'Sundaram Master', with Divya Sripada as the female lead. The film is co-produced by hero Raviteja and Sudheer Kumar Kurru, directed by Kalyan Santosh. This film has hit the screens today (February 23). So, how is the movie? Did Harsha impress as the lead actor? Let’s find out in this review. Story Sundaram Master (Viva Harsha) works as a social teacher in a government school. Dreaming of marrying a girl whose family can offer a hefty dowry because of his government job, his journey takes a turn when the local MLA (Harsha Vardhan) sends him to Miryalametta village to teach English. The village, isolated from the outside world for 90 years, supposedly holds a valuable thing that he is tasked to retrieve. What challenges does Sundaram Master face in this mysterious village? What is the connection between the village and the British? Did Sundaram complete his mission? And what role does Divya Sripada play? That forms the crux of the story. Performances Viva Harsha, known for his comedic roles, has successfully delivered a performance filled with various emotions in this film. He made the character his own, proving that no one else could have suited the role better. Divya Sripada excelled as an orphan in the village. The artists who played the villagers also delivered commendable performances. Direction Director Kalyan Santosh chose an intriguing story and managed to keep the narrative engaging without letting it drag. The depiction of a small village amidst forests and waterfalls is beautifully done. Sundaram Master’s struggles to teach English to the villagers bring humor to the audience. Until the interval, the film entertains with lighthearted scenes, but post-interval, the director shifts to a serious tone, focusing on philosophy. The transition could have been smoother, as the second half fails to maintain the momentum built in the first half. Technically The technical department of the movie has done an excellent job. The art department deserves credit for beautifully designing the village setting. Sai Charan Pakala’s music and Deepak Bhagavathula’s cinematography are appealing. Producers Raviteja and Sudheer Kumar Kurru have delivered a quality movie on a modest budget. Plus Points - Harsha’s performance - Comedy - Music Minus Points - Weak climax - Scenes lacking logic Telugu.yousay.tv Rating: 3/5

Aadikeshava Review: Mega Nephew Excels in Action Scenes with His 'Rudra Tandav' Performance. How is 'Aadikeshava'?
Cast: Panja Vaisshnav Tej, Sreeleela, Joju George, Sada, Sudarshan, Radhika Sarath Kumar, Jayaprakash, Tanikella Bharani, Suman, Aparna Das, and others. Writer and Director: Sreekanth N. Reddy Cinematography: Dudley Music: GV Prakash Kumar Production Houses: Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas Producers: Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, Sai Soujanya Release Date: November 24, 2023 Mega Nephew Panja Vaisshnav Tej, who gained a blockbuster hit with his debut movie 'Uppena', didn't achieve the same level of success in his subsequent films. However, he had high hopes for his latest movie 'Aadikeshava'. Different from his past movies, he appeared in a mass look in this one. Did 'Aadikeshava' bring him success? Did the Vaisshnav-Sreeleela pair impress the audience? Let's find out in this review. Story Baloo (Vaisshnav Tej), raised under his mother's shadow, grows up boldly but can't tolerate injustice. He confronts anyone regardless of their power. Forced by his parents, he joins a cosmetic company. He falls in love with the CEO, Chitravati (Sreeleela). A man from Brahmasamudram tells Baloo that he has a different family and his real name is Rudra Kaleswar Reddy. Who is Baloo? What happens when he goes to Brahmasamudram? How does he confront Chengareddy (Joju George), the antagonist causing havoc in the region? To know, one must watch the movie. Review The first half is light-hearted, showing friendship, love, and family scenes in Hyderabad. The story takes a turn at the interval. The second half is all about Baloo's confrontation with Chengareddy. The film follows a pattern - a song when the hero and heroine meet, and a fight when the hero and villain face each other. Performances Vaisshnav Tej has once again proved himself as a good actor. He is entertaining as a lover boy in the first half and shows valor as Rudra Kaleswar Reddy in the second. Sreeleela doesn't have much scope for acting but excels in dance. Radhika, as the hero's mother, impresses. Joju George, as the villain, appears cruel but his character lacks impact. Aparna Das, Suman, Tanikella Bharani, and others performed well within their roles. Sudarshan provided some comic relief. Direction The film has elements of love, family bonds, drama, and politics but director Sreekanth N. Reddy struggled to present them effectively. Apart from a few twists, the story and narration lack novelty, resembling old faction movies. Emotional scenes and suspenseful moments are missing. Despite weak writing, the direction is good. Technically The technical aspects of the film are commendable. Dudley's cinematography is captivating. GV Prakash Kumar's songs aren't memorable, but the background score is good. Other departments also showed good work. Production values are high. Positives Vaisshnav Tej's actingTwistsBackground music Negatives Routine story and narrationLack of emotional depth Rating: 2.5/5

Keedaa Cola Review: A Rollicking Good Time Akin to Tharun Bhascker's Hits?
Keedaa Cola Review: A Rollicking Good Time Akin to Tharun Bhascker's Hits?
Cast: Chaitanya Mandadi, Rag Mayur, Brahmanandam, Tharun Bhascker, Jeevan Kumar, Vishnu, Ravindra Vijay, RaghuramDirector: Tharun BhasckerMusic: Vivek SagarCinematography: AJ AronProducers: K.Vivek, Saikrishna, Srinivas Kaushik, Sripad, Upendra VarmaSubmitted by: Rana DaggubatiRelease Date: November 3, 2023 Tharun Bhascker, a young director, has carved a niche for himself with youthful entertainers like "Peli Choopulu" and "Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi." Known for his clean comedy and poignant storytelling, Bhascker has endeared himself to a youthful audience. His latest directorial venture is  "Keedaa Cola,". Does it deliver the laughs? Does Bhascker score another hit? Let's delve into the review. The Storyline Vastu (Chaitanya Rao) and Varadaraju (Brahmanandam) are the quintessential grandson-grandfather duo, embroiled in a harebrained scheme to swindle the makers of Keedaa Cola. Their plan? To plant a cockroach in a soda bottle and extort a whopping ₹5 crores. On a parallel track, Jeevan nurses political aspirations, aiming for a seat as a corporator. His brother Naidu (Tharun Bhascker), an ex-convict, throws in his lot with him. With both factions in a frenzied chase for money, their paths are set on a collision course. What ensues is a tale of wit, will, and wile, viewable exclusively in theatres. Execution The film hits the ground running with a flurry of amusing scenes, swiftly setting the stage for fun. Tharun Bhascker's entrance as the quirky Naidu adds a new layer of excitement, his unique blend of meditation and daily English lessons lending a quirky twist to the narrative. The movie gains further traction with his eccentric stunts. As the plot thickens in the second half, the tempo cranks up. Getup Seenu, as KeedaaCola's unwitting brand ambassador, inadvertently provides a barrel of laughs, and the chaos that ensues between the Vastu Gang and Naidu Gang, with their standoffish 'surrender' antics, adds to the hilarity. Notable scenes include sharpshooters on a mission to eliminate Naidu and Naidu's comical romance with Barbie, which serve as comedic highlights. Brahmanandam's portrayal, though wheelchair-bound, sporadically steals the show with his timing, ensuring laughter is never far behind. Performances In the director's chair and in front of the camera, Tharun Bhascker delivers a standout performance. His portrayal of Naidu is a testament to his acting chops, with impeccable comedic timing that serves as a pillar of the film's charm. While Brahmanandam's screen time may be brief, his influence resonates throughout the film's entirety. Chaitanya Rao tackles the challenging role of a differently-abled youth with finesse, conveying a breadth of emotion without uttering a single word. The ensemble cast, featuring Rag Mayur, Jeevan, Vishnu, Raghu, Ravindra Vijay, and Getup Seenu, all contribute to the film's humor, proving that even minor roles can leave a lasting impression. Direction "Keedaa Cola" marks Tharun Bhascker's foray into the genre of crime comedy, a departure from his previous cinematic ventures. The Bhaskar signature is evident in the storytelling's rhythm and the script's witty construction. This time, he orchestrates a symphony of humor, utilizing visual cues, a dynamic soundtrack, and the expressive performances of his cast to evoke laughter. While Bhaskar's earlier works were steeped in realism, "Keedaa Cola" revels in the absurd, prioritizing humor over narrative plausibility. In doing so, Bhaskar successfully conjures a comedic experience that resonates with audiences, despite a story that takes delightful liberties with the expected and the imaginable. Technical Aspects Vivek Sagar's score is a highlight, complementing the film's technical proficiency. The production values are commendable, with Bhascker's sharp writing often shining through. Review of "Rules Ranjan": A Mix of Highs and Lows
Review of "Rules Ranjan": A Mix of Highs and Lows
Cast and Crew: Starring: Kiran Abbavaram, Neha Shetty, Meher Chahal, and others Direction: Ratinam Krishna Producing Team: Divyana Lavanya & Murali Krishna Vemuri Music Composition: Amrish Cinematography: Dilip Kumar Kiran Abbavaram, although relatively fresh to Tollywood with merely 6 films under his belt, has carved a niche for himself, especially amongst the youth. He’s been labeled a safe bet for producers, assuring them against incurring losses. Kiran, after entertaining his audience with "Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha" and "Meter" this year, now graces the silver screen with "Rules Ranjan". Let’s dive into the review and see how he and the sizable cast fared! Storyline: A Dive into Love and Rules Meet Mano Ranjan (played by Kiran Abbavaram), a software engineer bound by stringent rules in life. An unexpected job transfer hauls him to Mumbai, where he rekindles a friendship with Sana (Neha Shetty), an old friend. Gradually, love blossoms and Mano lets his rules slide, one by one, for Sana. But a twist unfolds as Sana discovers that her marriage has been fixed. What ensues? Does Mano secure his love? Or not? The movie unveils these intriguing aspects. Movie Pulse: A Gentle Flow with Unexpected Turns Despite its uncomplicated plot, the movie ensures a consistent comedy track. The initial half meanders at a slow pace until Vennela Kishore steps in, lacing the narrative with bursts of laughter through impeccable comic timing. While the first half juggles between a love track and comedy, the second half could have benefited from additional comedic elements. A few unnecessary cinematic elevations and certain dreary scenes may dampen the audience’s spirit, although Hyper Aadi, Viva Harsha, and Vennela Kishore’s comedic antics in the latter part infuse some entertainment. Performances: A Canvas of Skills and Entertainment Kiran Abbavaram brings something fresh to the table, shedding his previous monotone acting criticisms and immersing himself into Mano Ranjan’s character convincingly. Neha Shetty, not only adds a dash of glamour to the film but also impresses with her performance, especially shining through the song "Sammohanuda". The comedy ensemble, including Hyper Aadi and Vennela Kishore, brought hearty laughter, serving as assets to the film. The rest of the cast, including Viva Harsha, Makarand Deshpande, and Subbaraju, bring justice to their roles and add depth to the storyline. Directorial Lens: A Scope for Enhancement Ratinam Krishna, despite wielding a simple story, somewhat misses striking a lasting impression. An inkling persists that the vast cast could have been better leveraged and that the story would have benefited from added attention. The initial comedy track left audiences wanting its continuity in the latter half and fewer unneeded cinematic elevations. Technical Side From a technical standpoint, "Rules Ranjan" showcases commendable production values. Amrish’s music compositions weave melodious threads through the film, while Dilip Kumar’s cinematography may need further refinement. Strengths and Weaknesses: Pros: Initial Comedy Track Neha Shetty's Glamour Cons: Unnecessary Elevations Second Half Dynamics Wrap Up: A Glimpse of Laughter Amidst Lows In conclusion, "Rules Ranjan" does spark some chuckles here and there but hovers around being a moderate comedy entertainer. Rating: 2.5/5

Chandramukhi 2 Review: Did Kangana Deliver as Chandramukhi?
Chandramukhi 2 Review: Did Kangana Deliver as Chandramukhi?
Cast: Raghava Lawrence, Kangana Ranaut, Vadivelu, Radhika Sarath Kumar, Mahima Nambiar, Lakshmi Menon, and more. Cinematography: RD Rajasekhar Music: MM Keeravani Produced by: Lyca Productions, Subaskaran Directed by: P. Vasu Release Date: September 28, 2023 The air is filled with anticipation as "Chandramukhi 2," a horror-comedy directed by P.Vasu, hits the theaters. It follows the 2004 blockbuster "Chandramukhi," and while Superstar Rajinikanth dazzled in the original, Raghava Lawrence takes the lead in this sequel. With Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut playing the titular role, and teasers, trailers, and promotional material generating buzz, let's see if the movie lives up to its expectations. The Plot Ranganayaki's (Radhika Sarath Kumar) sprawling family finds themselves amid unforeseen dilemmas. A sage advises a ritual in their family temple as a solution, leading them, including Madan (Raghava Lawrence), to the vicinity of the infamous Chandramukhi Palace. Basavayya (Vadivelu) now reigns over the estate. As the family sets up in the mansion for the ceremony, a warning against accessing the southern part of the mansion goes unheeded. The film unfolds the eerie consequences and the roles of Kangana Ranaut and Vetayya Raju/Sengotayya (also played by Raghava Lawrence) in this narrative. Impressions The narrative paces leisurely in the first half, with Vadivelu's comedic attempts not landing as expected. The momentum gains near the interval, offering an anticipatable yet engaging twist. The film's second half witnesses fluctuations in its narrative tempo. The romantic subplot feels derivative, but when the backstory of Vetayya Raju kicks in, the pace resumes. Both Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut's portrayals shine, even if the flashbacks are limited. The climax feels familiar, echoing the original. Performances Raghava Lawrence, no rookie to the horror genre, delivers a stellar performance, especially shining in the period role of Vetaiya Raju/Sengotaiya. Kangana Ranaut, stepping into the shoes of Chandramukhi, is captivating. Yet, her performance seems subdued when compared to Jyothika's portrayal in the original. Other cast members, including Rao Ramesh and Vadivelu, play their parts commendably. Direction Insights Director Vasu seems to have borrowed heavily from the original, with various elements feeling eerily similar. The narrative sometimes comes off as a mere reshuffling of the original script. However, Vasu's signature touch gleams in specific sequences. Technical Take Oscar-winner MM Keeravani's musical score feels underwhelming, barring Kangana's introductory song and a war-sequence background score reminiscent of Baahubali. Lyca Productions doesn't compromise on production values, and RD Rajasekhar's cinematography stands out. Pros Lawrence and Kangana's acting prowess Effective horror sequences Stunning cinematography Cons Lack of freshness Some clichéd sequences Underwhelming music Rating: 2.5/5
