Did it achieve success similar to the original Demonte Colony? Let's find out in this review. Plot Samuel Richard (Sarjano Khalid) unexpectedly commits suicide after overcoming a disease like cancer. His wife, Debbie (Priya Bhavani Shankar), struggles to come to terms with his decision and attempts to communicate with his spirit to uncover the reason behind his actions. She discovers from a book in a library that his death was predetermined by that book. Debbie learns that many others who read this book also died similarly. Recently, Srinivas (Arulnithi) and his twin brother Raghunandan (Arulnithi) have also read the book, putting their lives in danger. What is this book? What is the evil power behind it? How did Debbie, along with her uncle Richard (Arun Pandian), attempt to save the twin brothers? What role did Buddhist monks play in their efforts? That's the story. Performance Arulnithi excels in a dual role, showcasing distinct variations between the two characters in appearance and performance. Priya Bhavani Shankar, in the main female lead, impressed significantly, especially with a change in her hairstyle giving her a fresh look. This role, unlike her previous glamor roles, provided her with a substantial acting opportunity. Arun Pandian, playing the role of Debbie's uncle, did a satisfactory job. Archana Ravichandran, though in a brief appearance, managed to entertain. Muthukumar, Sarjano Khalid, and others performed well, particularly those portraying Buddhist monks who were captivating. Direction R. Ajay Gnanamuthu has crafted part 2 as a continuation of the original 'Demonte Colony' story. The film keeps the audience engaged with twists every half-hour from the start. The director skillfully intertwined two stories by introducing a family not present in the first part. The film not only deals with horror but also includes disputes among brothers and step-sisters, adding a bit of entertainment. Debbie’s efforts to save the twin brothers and the ensuing horror elements are thrilling. The screenplay is quite engaging. The climax along with the scenes linking to a potential third part are surprising. However, weak graphics, some dragging scenes, and the pre-climax could be seen as negatives. Technically On the technical front, the cinematographer did an excellent job by not just sticking to the typical dark mode of regular horror films but presenting it in a colorful manner. The graphics department could have done better. The background music was good, enhancing the suspense in the scenes. Editing was decent. The production values are high. Having recently hit the ₹1200 crore mark with his project 'Kalki', Prabhas has once again proven his box office prowess. Moreover, he's on a roll announcing consecutive pan-India projects. Following a strategy once employed by superstar Krishna, he's fully focused on his films. Prabhas is set to keep his promise to fans by launching three films at once. Until 'Adipurush' (2023), Prabhas would spend at least two years on each film, a pattern that began with 'Baahubali' in 2015. There was a two-year gap between 'Baahubali' and 'Baahubali 2', and a three-year interval between 'Saaho' (2019) and 'Radhe Shyam' (2022), which initially disappointed fans. Frustrations grew over the gaps between his films. Understanding his fans' disappointment, Prabhas promised to release at least one film per year going forward. Keeping his word, he's been vigorously announcing new projects. Superstar Krishna’s Strategy! Prabhas is much more focused on his projects than before, ditching the consecutive project routine to adopt a strategy used by superstar Krishna, who used to work on three or more films simultaneously. Prabhas is now preparing to bring three projects to the sets simultaneously, following in Krishna's footsteps. Indeed, during 'Salaar', he also engaged in shooting 'Kalki 2898 AD', releasing both within a span of six months. Currently, Prabhas is working on 'Raja Saab' directed by Maruthi. He has also recently launched a new project with Hanu Raghavapudi and is planning to start 'Spirit' directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga by November. Prabhas is planning to participate in the shootings of these three films simultaneously and release each within a year. Additionally, there's potential to launch 'Salaar 2' and 'Kalki 2' next year. India’s No.1 Hero: Prabhas A recent July report by Bollywood media firm Ormax listed the most popular heroes, with Prabhas securing the number one position. Following Prabhas, Tamil star Vijay and Bollywood's Shah Rukh Khan filled the next top spots, with superstar Mahesh Babu and Junior NTR also featuring prominently. Prabhas has consistently topped these lists since May and June, much to the delight of fans and movie enthusiasts. In this quest, doctors suggest the possibility of memory transfer. Attempts to transfer Big Bull’s memory to various individuals fail. During these attempts, Big Bull learns about iSmart Shankar. They decide to transfer Big Bull’s memory to Shankar. Was the memory successfully transferred to Shankar’s brain? What does iSmart Shankar do next? Why do Big Bull and iSmart Shankar clash again? What is the relationship between Kavya Thapar and Shankar? What significance does Boka's (Ali) character have in the film? How's the Movie? The first half of the movie includes love and comedy tracks, laden with Telangana slang and mass festivities. Puri Jagannadh’s trademark punch dialogues and his style of comedy scenes are captivating. From the interval action sequence onwards, twists upon twists are revealed. Scenes featuring Ram and Sanjay Dutt are particularly striking. The climax twist takes the movie to the next level. Dialogues are a special attraction, with Ram's Telangana slang proverbs hitting the mark. Romantic scenes between Ram and Kavya Thapar, as well as the mind games between Ram and Sanjay Dutt, and the mother sentiment, are all interesting. Ram’s energetic performance is engaging. Ali’s comedy scenes are well-done. How Did They Perform? Ram Pothineni excels as iSmart Shankar. His acting in this film is triple times more mass-oriented than in the previous iSmart Shankar movie. It's evident from this film that he has put in an extraordinary effort. Sanjay Dutt as Big Bull delivers a superb performance, doing complete justice to his role. Kavya Thapar, as the heroine Jannat, fits perfectly into her role. Shaaji Shinde as a CBI officer, Bunny Jayashankar, Ram's mother played by Jhansi, Boka played by Ali, and Ram’s friend played by Getup Srinu all perform commendably within the scope of their roles. How's the Direction? After the flop of Liger, it is evident that Puri Jagannadh has written this film with great care. This film marks a comeback for Puri, who has effectively brought his envisioned story to life. The screenplay is also good. Puri Jagannadh has filled the film with elements that attract the youth. The scenes from the pre-climax to the climax elevate the movie to another level. Once again, Puri introduces the old charm with his trademark punch dialogues. The mother sentiment is good but could have been elevated further. Overall, Puri succeeded in making a film that appeals to the youth. Technically On a technical level, the film is of high quality. Every frame appears rich. Mani Sharma’s music is satisfactory. Cinematography by Gian K. Gian and Shyam K. Naidu is commendable. Overall, this film can be termed a mass feast.
