Dasari Narayana Rao is a legendary figure in the Telugu film industry, known not only as a director but also as a writer, producer, and political leader. He holds a Guinness World Record for directing the most films. He directed over 150 films, produced 53, and wrote for more than 250. He also acted in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada films. His directorial debut was with "Thatha-Manavadu" (1973). His hits include "Swargam Narakam" , "Megha sandesam" , "Mamagaru" , "Shivaranjani" , "Suri Gadu" , "Amma Rajinama" , "Katakatala Rudrayya" , "Gorintaku" , "Premabhishekam" , "Sardar Papa Rayudu" , "Bobbili Puli" and "Osey Ramulamma." Dasari won several awards in his career, including three Nandi Awards for best director and actor. He also made his mark in politics, serving as a Rajya Sabha member and minister from the Congress Party.
