Jaya Pprakash Reddy was a distinguished actor in Tollywood, born on May 8, 1946, in Sirivella Mandal, Kurnool district. He initially directed several stage plays before making his film debut with 'Brahmaputrudu' in 1988. Reddy became widely popular with the film 'Preminchukundam Raa' (1997) as a villain. He gained further recognition with films like 'Samarasimha Reddy,' 'Jayam Manadera,' 'Chennakesava Reddy,' 'Kick,' 'Evadi Gola Vaadidhi,' and 'Dhee.' He acted in nearly 300 films as a villain, character artist, and comedian. Reddy passed away from a heart attack on September 8, 2020, at his residence in Guntur.
