Mallikarjuna Rao, a prominent comedian in Tollywood, was born on October 10, 1950, in Anakapalli, Andhra Pradesh. His real name was Peela Kasi Mallikarjuna Rao. He initially performed in stage plays and worked at the AMV Hospital in Anakapalli. With the help of the late actor Rao Gopal Rao, he entered the film industry. He debuted in the Telugu film industry with 'Kirayi Rowdylu' (1981) and appeared in over 230 films, becoming well-known for his comedic roles. He died of blood cancer on June 24, 2008, at the age of 57.
