Plot

Performance Analysis
Tamil superstar Suriya has delivered a stellar performance in this film, impressing in both the roles of Francis and Kanguva. The effort he has put into the role of Kanguva is evident on screen, especially during the battle scenes, showcasing his formidable presence. His body language, dialogue delivery, and expression of emotions are all on point. Bobby Deol as the villain has delivered a powerful performance, matching Suriya's intensity. Direction
Director Shiva has crafted 'Kanguva' with a novel storyline. The film starts slowly as it introduces Francis's character and takes time to develop. A small girl enters Francis's life, linking back to a past life, which interestingly steers the plot. From Kanguva’s entry, the true narrative begins. The director has engagingly depicted tribal life and conflicts from a thousand years ago. The twist at the interval raises expectations for the second half, which is filled with twists and action sequences that make the story even more gripping. The climax is sure to give everyone goosebumps. However, the slow-paced narrative and underdeveloped emotions, along with a somewhat weak villain character, might be seen as drawbacks.
Technically...
On the technical front, all departments have performed well, especially the VFX team, which has provided excellent output for the film. The cinematography is impressive. The music by Devi Sri Prasad is a major asset to the film, with both songs and background score enhancing the cinematic experience. The production values are high, and every scene is richly crafted.
