Suthi Velu, originally named Kurumaddali Lakshmi Narasimha Rao, was a legendary comedian in Tollywood. Born on August 7, 1947, in Machilipatnam, Krishna District, he began his career in theater. He made his film debut with "Mudda Mandaram" in 1981. Velu became popular through his roles in successful films such as "Ananda Bhairavi," "Rendu Jella Seetha," "Sreevariki Prema Lekha," "Chantabbai," and "Pratighatana." He appeared in over 150 Telugu films, both as a comedian and a supporting actor, and won four Nandi Awards for his performances. He passed away on September 16, 2012, in Chennai due to illness.
