    Vandemataram Srinivas

    Vandemataram Srinivas, originally named Kanneboyina Srinivas, is a renowned music director and singer in the Telugu film industry. He has provided music for over 250 films in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi languages. He gained fame as a background singer with the song 'Vandemataram Geetham Varasa Maruthunnadi' in director T. Krishna's movie 'Vandemataram', which led to the addition of 'Vandemataram' to his name. Srinivas rose to prominence as a director for people's movement films by R. Narayana Murthy. He predominantly composed music for his movies, writing and singing many songs. He achieved recognition with revolutionary films and showcased his versatility with devotional songs in the film 'Devullu'. Some of his notable works include 'Ayudham', 'Devullu', 'Erra Sainyam', 'Dandora', 'Lal Salam', 'Errodu', 'Orey Rikshaw', 'Encounter', 'Missamma (2003)', and 'Jayam Manadera'. Vandemataram Srinivas has also composed background music for TV serials and has been awarded 9 Nandi Awards, 9 Bharatamuni Awards, 6 Madras Kalasagar Awards, and received the Saluri Rajeswara Rao and M.S. Viswanathan Memorial Awards.
