Among the top Telugu heroes with a massive fan following, Superstar Mahesh Babu stands out. With his next project lined up with the visionary director Rajamouli, expectations for ‘SSMB29’ are already sky-high. However, considering the scale of a film with Rajamouli, it’s well known that such a project takes considerable time. This has left fans disappointed, knowing they won’t see Mahesh on screen soon. Amidst this, Mahesh Babu surprised his fans with an exciting announcement. He has lent his voice to the Telugu version of a Hollywood movie, leaving everyone in awe. Let’s take a look at the details.
Mahesh Dubs for the Lion
One of the prestigious projects from the renowned Hollywood production house Disney is ‘Mufasa: The Lion King.’ Still in the filming stage, the makers are planning a grand release in India. As part of this, they decided to have star actors from various industries dub for the character of Mufasa, the lion. Recently, Disney made an interesting revelation, announcing that Superstar Mahesh Babu has dubbed for the Telugu version of the character Mufasa. The Telugu trailer is set to be released on the 26th of this month at 11:07 AM. With this news, both Mahesh’s fans and cinema lovers are eagerly awaiting the trailer.
What Did Mahesh Say About Dubbing?
Superstar Mahesh Babu shared his thoughts on dubbing for the main lead in the animated film ‘Mufasa: The Lion King.’ He said, “I have immense respect for Disney. Mufasa, as both a father guiding his son and a great king of the jungle, captivates everyone. Working with Disney is something very special to me personally. I will enjoy this with my kids. I’m looking forward to watching ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ on the big screen with my family and fans on December 20th in Telugu.” The film features performances by Aaron Stone, Kelvin Harrison Jr., among others. The movie is set for a worldwide release as a Christmas gift.
Who Dubbed in Hindi?
The Hindi version of ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ trailer was recently released. In this version, the young Mufasa’s voice was provided by Bollywood’s Badshah Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Abram. Interestingly, the voice for Mufasa (in adulthood) is given by Shah Rukh Khan himself, while the voice for Simba was provided by his elder son Aryan Khan. Shah Rukh recently expressed his joy in working on a movie alongside his children. He mentioned that ‘Mufasa’ holds a special place in his heart. The movie is set for a grand release not only in Telugu, Hindi, and English but also in Tamil.
Dubbing Isn’t New to Mahesh… But!
This isn’t the first time Mahesh Babu has lent his voice for dubbing. In the past, he provided his voice for two films: Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Jalsa’ and Tarak’s ‘Baadshah.’ However, in those instances, he didn’t voice a specific character but contributed to elevating certain scenes with his voice. This time, however, it is the first instance where Mahesh has dubbed entirely for a character. It will be interesting to see how much Mahesh can captivate the audience with his voice.
