With Game Changer set to release during Sankranti, Ram Charan has already begun preparations for his next project, RC16, directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The film is expected to hit the sets soon, with a storyline centered around traditional wrestling. Ram Charan is currently undergoing a physical transformation to suit the role, while Buchi Babu has been visiting temples to seek divine blessings before starting the shoot. Recently, Buchi Babu was spotted performing special prayers in a temple in Mysore, drawing comparisons to ISRO scientists for his ritualistic approach.
Just Like ISRO Scientists…
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has carried out numerous successful experiments, but it is a tradition for ISRO chairpersons and scientists to seek blessings at temples before major launches. They visit Tirumala’s Sri Venkateswara Temple and perform rituals at Chengalamma Temple in Nellore’s Sullurpeta. Similarly, Buchi Babu’s actions remind many of these scientists. He has been visiting temples one after another ahead of the film’s shoot. Recently, Buchi Babu visited a Durga Temple in Kadapa with Ram Charan, placing the RC16 script before the goddess to seek blessings. He was later seen at Mysore’s Chamundeshwari Temple, praying for a smooth production and success. Netizens have started comparing Buchi Babu’s dedication to that of ISRO scientists.
RC16 Shoot Begins
On Friday, November 22, Buchi Babu visited Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysore and shared a photo holding the film’s script in the temple premises. He captioned it, calling it a very special day and stating that the much-awaited moment had arrived. With the blessings of Chamundeshwari Amma, the journey has begun, he added. This post confirmed that the regular shoot for RC16 began on Friday. Reports suggest the team has planned a three-day shoot in Mysore, filming scenes that do not involve the hero. Ram Charan is expected to join the shoot next week.
Jaggu Bhai Joins the Team
The prominent production house Mythri Movie Makers is backing RC16. Veteran actor Jagapathi Babu has officially joined the cast, as confirmed by the makers. They shared a photo welcoming him to the project. This has sparked curiosity about his role in the film. Jagapathi Babu replied to the announcement with a “Thank you, Commando” message. Reports suggest he will play a character with negative shades, which aligns with hints in the recently released poster. Fans are excited, as Ram Charan and Jagapathi Babu previously delivered the blockbuster Rangasthalam, where they also played rival characters.
The Story of RC16
Buchi Babu Sana is said to be crafting RC16 around a unique concept with a village backdrop and traditional wrestling as the theme. The film is rumored to be inspired by the life of Andhra Pradesh’s legendary wrestler Kodi Rammurthy Naidu. Ram Charan is undergoing a physical transformation to suit the role, building a robust physique. Recently, he shared a photo with fans captioned “Beast Mode On,” hinting at his preparations. Compared to his Game Changer look, Charan now sports a bulked-up physique, long hair, and a beard. Janhvi Kapoor is cast opposite Charan, with music composed by A.R. Rahman. Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar is also expected to play a key role in the film.
