Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja stars in the action thriller ‘Eagle’, directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni. Anupama Parameswaran and Kavya Thapar play the female leads, with Navdeep and Srinivas Avasarala in key roles. TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory, who produced ‘Dhamaka’ with Ravi Teja, is the producer of this film. The released teasers, trailers, and promotional posters have already heightened the anticipation for the movie, which is set to be presented to the audience tomorrow. In this context, the producer TG Vishwa Prasad has given a crazy update about ‘Eagle’, further increasing the hype around the film.
‘Eagle’s Climax.. Never Before!
In a recent interview, ‘Eagle’s producer Vishwa Prasad made intriguing comments about the movie’s climax. “The last 40 minutes of ‘Eagle’ are on a next level, unlike anything previously seen in Telugu cinema. I’m not exaggerating, nor am I comparing it to ‘Baahubali’, but the climax will be in the style of Lokesh Kanagaraj. It’s completely different from the usual Telugu cinema climaxes. You haven’t seen anything like this in Telugu before,” he said, significantly boosting the excitement for the film. These remarks have become a hot topic in the industry, increasing everyone’s curiosity about how ‘Eagle’ will turn out.
Ticket Prices Remain Standard..
Recently, it has become inevitable to raise ticket prices for star hero movies. However, Ravi Teja’s ‘Eagle’ has not proposed any increase in ticket prices. Interestingly, ‘Eagle‘ maintains standard ticket rates across both Telugu states. Accordingly, the ticket price for ‘Eagle’ at PVR and INOX multiplexes in Hyderabad is set at Rs. 200. At some Asian multiplexes, tickets can be purchased for as low as Rs. 175. Regarding single screens, the balcony ticket price is only Rs. 150, with most single screens offering tickets at Rs. 110, and some theaters at Rs. 145.
‘Eagle’s Break-Even Target!
There have been circulating figures regarding ‘Eagle’s pre-release business. According to these, the worldwide theatrical rights of the movie have been sold for Rs. 21 crores. The pre-release business in AP and Telangana alone is said to be around Rs. 17 crores. With an additional Rs. 2 crores from overseas and Rs. 2 crores from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and other states, the total pre-release business is estimated to be around Rs. 22 crores, setting ‘Eagle’s break-even target.
Ravi Teja’s Market Takes a Hit!
Compared to Ravi Teja’s recent movie ‘Tiger Nageswara Rao’, the pre-release business of ‘Eagle’ has seen a significant drop. The theatrical rights of ‘Tiger Nageswara Rao’ were sold for Rs. 37 crores, marking the highest pre-release business in Ravi Teja’s career. In contrast, ‘Eagle’ managed a pre-release business of Rs. 16 crores less. However, in terms of pre-release business, ‘Eagle’ still stands as one of the top-5 movies in Ravi Teja’s career, following ‘Ravanasura’ and ‘Khiladi’, which secured theatrical rights up to Rs. 22 crores, placing ‘Eagle’ in fourth position.
Ravi Teja’s Role in ‘Eagle’!
‘Eagle’ reportedly features Ravi Teja in the role of a shooter fighting for farmers’ issues, as seen in the trailer and teaser. Initially planned for a Sankranthi release, ‘Eagle’ was postponed due to the release of other major films during the festival. Ravi Teja is also working on his next film with director Harish Shankar, titled ‘Mr. Bachchan’, which is expected to release this year.
