Can Samantha taste pan-India success with ‘Yashoda’?

Samantha rose to pan-India fame with her web series ‘Family Man-2,’ and her steamy item number ‘Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava’ became a national sensation. Lately, it’s reported that Samantha has signed big Bollywood projects with star heroes.

Regarding her upcoming films, the actress has two lady-oriented movies lined up for release this year. The mythological dramas ‘Shakunthalam’, directed by Gunasekhar, and ‘Yashoda’, directed by Harish-Hari, Both these films will open in theaters this November. The official announcement regarding the release dates of these upcoming movies was made recently.

Among ‘Shakuntalam’ and ‘Yashoda,’ the latter will be released in all the major Indian languages. The first look of this film has been received positively by the Telugu audience, but the big question is, can ‘Yashoda’ survive in other southern and northern markets apart from the Telugu states? It is definitely not an easy task for Samantha, but it will be interesting to see how the audience across the country will receive this flick.

“Yashoda” will be released in theaters on November 11. Unni Mukundan, Sampath Raj, Varalakshmi Sharat Kumar, and Rao Ramesh will appear in the key roles. The flick is produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad. Mani Sharama is composing the music.
