Tollywood star heroine Samantha is soon to be seen in the upcoming spy action series “Citadel: Honey Bunny.” In this series, while Varun Dhawan plays a leading role, Samantha is acting in another key role. The series, directed by Raj and DK who have delivered successful series like “The Family Man” and “Farzi,” is the official remake of the Hollywood blockbuster “Citadel” which starred Priyanka Chopra in the lead role. Currently, the actors involved in this series are busy with promotions.
The makers have officially announced that this web series will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video on November 7. The recently released trailer of “Citadel: Honey Bunny” thrilled the audience with its action-packed content, especially the action scenes performed by Samantha.
The first trailer had already set high expectations for the series, and now the second trailer has also received super hit talk. Samantha’s action sequences in the trailer have particularly captivated the audience, with some fans even praising her performance as being better than Priyanka Chopra’s version in the original.
In this series, fans are excited about Samantha as “Honey” and Varun Dhawan as “Bunny,” noting Samantha’s refreshing appearance and gripping action. Compared to her previous action roles, Samantha appears stronger and more powerful in this series.
However, recent discussions among netizens are focused on Samantha’s appearance in the trailer. They are commenting on the changes in her face, comparing her current looks with those of actress Samyuktha Menon. Some photos shared on social media show noticeable differences in her eyes compared to the past.
Some people argue that Samantha has undergone plastic surgery to enhance her beauty, especially after battling the disease myositis, which caused significant changes to her face. Others suggest that the powerful medications she used to treat myositis have had side effects that altered her facial appearance.
It is well known that Samantha struggled with myositis, a rare disease, for over a year, which also led her into severe depression. During her recovery, she traveled domestically and internationally with friends to find some relief from her pain. Observing the physical changes caused by myositis, Samantha decided to focus entirely on her health and stayed away from films for a year. She made a comeback with the film “Kushi” alongside Vijay Deverakonda and also starred in “Shaakuntalam.” However, as both films did not perform well at the box office, Samantha is now pinning her hopes on the success of the “Citadel” series.
