  • Gangs Of Godavari Review: Vishwak Sen and Neha Shetty’s Romance is Superb! But One Thing is Missing!!

Cast: Vishwak Sen, Anjali, Neha Shetty, Nassar, P. Sai Kumar, Hyper Aadi, and others

    Director: Krishna Chaitanya

    Music: Yuvan Shankar Raja

    Cinematography: Anith Madadi

Producer: Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, Sai Soujanya

    Release Date: 31-05-2024

Vishwak Sen stars in the latest film ‘Gangs of Godavari‘, directed by Krishna Chaitanya, featuring Neha Shetty as the heroine and Anjali in a key role. The film is produced by the renowned Suryadevara Naga Vamsi. The trailers and teasers released so far have significantly captivated the audience, raising expectations for the film. Released in theaters on May 31, how does this movie fare? Did it impress the audience? Is it another hit for Vishwak? Let’s find out in this review.

Lankala Ratnam (Vishwak Sen) is an idle young man who cannot tolerate the injustices happening in his village’s politics. He decides to enter politics with the aim of changing the system. Faced with unexpected challenges, how does he overcome them? How does he win over the girl he loves? Does he achieve his political goals? That is the story.

Young hero Vishwak Sen mesmerizes once again with his mass performance, fully embodying the character of Lankala Ratnam. This role showcases a new dimension of Vishwak’s acting, particularly shining in the action scenes. Neha Shetty impresses with her unique acting style, and the chemistry between Vishwak and Neha is well-executed, with their romantic scenes being a highlight. The song “Andala Rani” is sure to elicit whistles in theaters. Anjali also gets a significant role as Ratnamala, delivering a performance filled with mass dialogues that entertain the audience. Hyper Aadi, Jabardasth fame provides comic relief with his punchlines. The supporting cast also does justice to their roles.

Director Krishna Chaitanya successfully brings an engaging story to the screen, distinct from his previous works like ‘Rowdy Fellow’ and ‘Chal Mohan Ranga’. He skillfully utilizes each character to fit the narrative. Key scenes in the climax and father-daughter moments add a lot to the film. However, compared to the first half, the second half moves a bit slower, with routine scenes and a regular storyline slightly detracting from the overall experience.

    Technical Aspects

On the technical front, Yuvan Shankar Raja’s background music stands out, effectively enhancing the action sequences. Anith Madadi’s cinematography is impressive. The editing is satisfactory, and the production values are top-notch, with no compromises made in terms of budget.

    Plus Points

    – Vishwak Sen’s performance

    – Dialogues

    – Music

    Minus Points

    – Regular storyline

    – Slow narration
