Superstar Mahesh Babu set an all-time record with his film “Guntur Kaaram.” Released on January 12, this movie has shown remarkable collections at the box office. On its opening day, it grossed ₹94 crores, followed by ₹33 crores on the second day, and ₹37 crores on the third day. Within the first week, the film officially announced total collections of ₹212 crores.
In the history of Indian cinema, this is the first time a regional language film has grossed over ₹212 crores in its first week, creating an all-time record. The makers revealed this rare achievement through a recent poster. This marks the third time Mahesh Babu’s film has crossed the ₹200 crore gross mark. Notably, five of Mahesh’s films are now in the ₹100 crore club of Tollywood.
Through “Guntur Kaaram,” Mahesh Babu has achieved the ₹100+ crore share mark for the fifth consecutive time in his career. His previous films, “Bharath Ane Nenu,” “Maharshi,” “Sarileru Neekevvaru,” and “Sarkaru Vaari Paata,” have also reached this milestone. Mahesh Babu thus becomes the first Telugu actor to achieve this record five times consecutively.
