Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, aka Jr. NTR, the Man of the Masses, celebrates his 39th birthday today.
NTR is the grandson of the former chief minister of united Andhra Pradesh, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Sr. Jr. NTR was heavily influenced by his grandfather from his childhood. At the age of 12, he made his silver screen debut as a child artist in “Brahmarshi Vishwamitra,” directed by his grandfather. His relatives and friends have felt since that film that this young man will carry on his grandfather and uncle Balakrishna’s acting legacy. NTR made his debut as a lead actor in the film Student No.1. He was only 17 years old when the film was made. Student No.1 emerged as a blockbuster and Jr. NTR’s career took off with a string of hits like Aadi, Simhadri, Rakhi, Yamadhonga, Temper, Janatha Garage, Aravinda Sametha, Jai Lava Kusha, and RRR. He enjoys a cult fan following in the Telugu states; his magnificent acting in SS. Rajamouli’s RRR made him a pan-India star.
Coming to NTR’s personal life, this dynamic actor was married to Lakshmi Pranathi, the daughter of a powerful businessman and politician, on May 5th, 2011. The couple were blessed with two sons.
