Badminton star player PV Sindhu celebrates her 27th birthday today. Pusarla Venkata Sindhu was born on July 5, 1995 in Hyderabad. She entered international badminton competitions at the age of 14 and won a silver medal at the Rio Olympic Games in 2016. She created a record as the first Indian woman to win a silver medal in Olympic competitions. She bagged a bronze medal in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Sindu is the first woman to win medals in consecutive olympics. PV Sindhu also won the prestigious Swiss Open title in 2022.
She is a recipient of the Rajiv Khel Ratna, Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan and Arjuna Awards presented by the Government of India.
