Vijay Deverakonda, one of the most popular young heroes in Tollywood, enjoys unwavering fan admiration regardless of hits and misses. His rise to stardom was fueled by successful films such as ‘Arjun Reddy,’ ‘Taxiwaala,’ and ‘Geetha Govindam.’ However, he has been struggling with a lack of recent hits, with his last three films performing poorly at the box office. This has led to increased trolling and criticism. Recently, during a film event, director Trivikram made intriguing comments about Vijay Deverakonda, which have gone viral in Tollywood and on social media.
“He has seen both adoration and hatred,”
At the pre-release event of Dulquer Salmaan’s latest movie ‘Lucky Bhaskar,’ directed by Venky Atluri and set to release on October 31, Vijay Devarakonda and Trivikram were the chief guests. Trivikram praised the acting prowess of both Vijay Deverakonda and Dulquer Salmaan, calling them the great actors of this generation. He also mentioned his personal admiration for Vijay, stating, “Vijay has seen much love. But he has seen twice as much hatred. There’s a line in Bal Gangadhar Tilak’s novel ‘The Night of Amrit’ that says ‘he is a great fighter.’ This fits Vijay Deverakonda perfectly. Our boy is a true warrior.” This comment has since become a sensation on the internet.
“Controversy if Khalnayak is called a flop,”
Vijay Deverakonda also spoke at the ‘Lucky Bhaskar’ pre-release event, making impactful remarks about director Trivikram. He reminisced about receiving his first paycheck from Sithara Entertainments, presented by Trivikram after the hit movie ‘Pelli Choopulu,’ during which Trivikram predicted his future stardom. Vijay called meeting Trivikram a significant moment in his life, expressing his admiration for Trivikram’s films like ‘Manmadhudu,’ ‘Nuvvu Naaku Nachchaav,’ and ‘Jalsa.’ He also stated that ‘Athadu‘ and ‘Khaleja‘ are among his favorites, and humorously remarked that he would fight anyone who calls ‘Khaleja’ a flop.
“Dulquer and Vijay Multistarrer,”
Vijay Deverakonda noted that he attended the ‘Lucky Bhaskar’ event for his “brother” Dulquer Salmaan. He reminded the audience of their collaboration in movies like ‘Kalki’ and ‘Mahanati,’ although they did not share scenes. He revealed that a director once considered making a multistarrer with him and Dulquer, and they even discussed the story together in Chennai, but the film never materialized. Vijay expressed hope that they might work together in the future, exciting the audience.
“Pelli Choopulu Combo Repeat,”
Vijay Deverakonda’s breakthrough film ‘Pelli Choopulu,’ directed by young director Tharun Bhascker, needs no special introduction for its success. However, the duo hasn’t collaborated on another project since. Now, there’s strong buzz about a new movie in the works under Tharun Bhascker’s direction with Vijay as the lead. It’s said that Vijay has already heard the story and has agreed to the project, which will feature Tharun’s signature style of comedy along with action. Meanwhile, Vijay is currently involved in ‘VD12,’ an action thriller directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri.
“Vijay’s Future Projects!”
Vijay Deverakonda currently has ‘VD12’ and two other exciting projects in hand. After ‘Family Star,’ producer Dil Raju is set to produce another film with Vijay, to be directed by Ravikiran Kola. Additionally, director Rahul Sankrityan will direct another project featuring Vijay, set against a royal backdrop in the Rayalaseema region, with Rashmika Mandanna rumored to be the female lead. With news of another movie under Tharun Bhascker’s direction, expectations for Vijay’s future projects are high among fans.
