Kamal Hassan’s new movie ‘Vikram’ is releasing on June 3. This film’s pre-release event was held in Hyderabad yesterday. Actor Nithiin acquired the Telugu distribution rights of ‘Vikram.’ The event was no less than a festival as Kamal Hassan returned to Hyderabad after a long gap. Tollywood’s biggest star Venkatesh Daggubati has joined the event as a special guest, along with Nithiin, Kamal Hassan, Anirudh and others.
Venkatesh gave a touching speech about Kamal Hassan’s legacy in the Indian film industry. The F3 actor said, “Kamal Sir is one of the greatest actors in the world. His film ‘Padaharella Vayasu’ has got me to question how an actor of 16 years can act this brilliantly. For me his films are the source of learning from where I learnt most of my acting abilities. No actor has explored the themes of the cinema as much as he did. I bet no actor even dares to do a film like ‘Dashavataram’. With the film ‘Ek Duuje Ke Liye’, he was the first pan-India star. Southern cinema can be classified into two parts: South cinema before Kamal Hassan and South cinema after Kamal Hassan.”
Kamal Hassan also shared his love for Venkatesh and the Telugu film industry with so much gratitude. The actor said based on the number of releases he had in Tamil and Telugu, Telugu audience clearly gave him the upper hand. The ‘Vishwaroopam’ star has recollected his memories with the late actor ANR during his speech.
Vikram is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Fahadh Faasil and Vijay Sethupathi are starring alongside Kamal Hassan in this film. Anirudh has provided the music for this upcoming gangster-drama.
