The pre-release event of the movie ‘KA‘, starring Tollywood’s young hero Kiran Abbavaram, took place grandly on Tuesday. Akkineni Naga Chaitanya also attended the event as the chief guest. However, Kiran Abbavaram’s emotional speech during the event became a topic of discussion on social media. But the discussion was not about the movie ‘KA’. Recently, Kiran expressed his distress about the trolling he has been facing on social media.
Until now, Kiran Abbavaram has been the target of various trolls. He used to ignore them and continue with his work. However, this time, he felt the trolling had crossed limits and responded strongly. His comments have now sparked discussions in the industry. During this occasion, Kiran mentioned that a scene from a movie was used to troll him without his consent.
“I came from doing short films. Just doing my work, releasing two or three movies a year. And yet, some people in one of those movies trolled me! About me! What relevance does it have? Why is there a need to troll me in a movie? I’m just asking respectfully… Why me? I’m just doing my job. Did I ever ask you for anything? What? Direct trolling on me in a movie and I didn’t even know about it. Bro, Kiran bro, we are putting something about you in a movie. When my fans show me that even in this movie they are trolling you… I am asking respectfully? What did I do to deserve trolling in your movie?” he said emotionally.
After Kiran’s speech, people began to search for what that movie could be.
However, the scene Kiran referred to was from a scene in last year’s Kannada dubbed movie ‘Hostel Students’. The film was dubbed into Telugu by ‘Chai Biscuit’ production. In the starting scene of this movie, two students discuss a trailer of a movie starring Kiran Abbavaram. One says, “Kiran Abbavaram’s trailer has come out,” and the other mockingly says, “Has it come out again?” Given that Kiran had been actively doing movies at that time, it seemed like a satirical comment directed at him. He expressed his anguish about this at the event but did not mention the name of the movie or the makers. However, he clearly expressed his distress about the matter.
The response to Kiran’s speech was positive on social media. Amidst some baseless trolls, one netizen commented, “It doesn’t matter, bro.” Another tried to console him, “Elephants keep walking as dogs bark. Don’t mind them, Kiran bro.”
The movie ‘KA’ is set to release globally on Diwali (October 31). The trailer, already released, has garnered a positive response from the audience. The movie is produced on a Pan India level, featuring Tanviram and Nayan Sarika as the heroines, directed by the duo Sujit Maddel and Sandeep Maddel.
