In Tollywood, star-hero film battle during the Dasara season is a long-standing tradition. For the industry’s sustainability, this battle tradition has, however, regressed recently. The battle for the Dasara festival has returned to Tollywood after a lengthy absence. Instead of young stars, older actors are engaged in combat this time.
It has been confirmed that “Godfather,” starring Megastar Chiranjeevi, “NBK 107,” starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, and “The Ghost,” starring Akkineni Nagarjuna, will premiere during the Dasara season in the summer of 2022. “Godfather” and “The Ghost’s” release dates were already set. These two movies will be released on October 5. However, it appears that the NBK 107’s makers opted not to take part in the Dasara race. The date of their movie’s release has still not been disclosed. With just one month until the Dasara festival, it is all but certain that Nagarjuna and Chiranjeevi will square off. NBK 107 will most likely be released either in the second half of October or the first half of November.
Chiranjeevi’s ‘Godfather’ is a Political action drama film which deals with the power struggle that occurs in a political party when the leader of the party passes away. A mysterious man steps in to ascend the throne. The film is an official remake of Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s “Lucifer.” ‘Godfather’ is directed by Mohan Raja.
‘The Ghost’ deals with a former Interpol agent causing destruction and shockwaves throughout the criminal underworld before disappearing out of nowhere and reappearing years later to save his family. In contrast to “Godfather,” Praveen Sattaru’s “The Ghost” is a straight Telugu movie.
Let’s wait and watch who will take the victory on Dasara.
