Icon star Allu Arjun stars as the hero with Rashmika Mandanna as the heroine in the movie “Pushpa 2.” Following the tremendous success of the first part, director Sukumar is creating this sequel for a pan-India audience. Even before its release, the film is breaking records in terms of pre-release business. The latest buzz suggests that the North Indian rights of the movie have been sold for approximately 200 crores. Kalki’s North rights fetched 100 crores and Devara’s 50 crores. This pre-release business indicates that “Pushpa” is set to dominate the North post-release. Additionally, rumors are circulating about the acquisition of “Pushpa 2” OTT rights.
Breaking the RRR Record
According to the latest updates, the movie “Pushpa 2: The Rule” has set a new record by selling its OTT rights to Netflix for an unprecedented 275 crores, marking the highest such deal in India. This surpasses the previous record held by the film “RRR,” whose OTT rights were also acquired by Netflix for most languages, except Kannada, which went to Zee5. It is yet to be determined in how many languages Netflix will offer “Pushpa 2.” The question remains whether it will cover the majority of languages as with “RRR,” or include all languages.
What about Telugu States?
On the other hand, the theatrical pre-release business of Pushpa 2 is also significant in the Telugu states, with buyers quoting nearly 200 crores for the theatrical rights.
Huge Hype with the Teaser
The craze for Pushpa 2 among fans is exceptional. The already-released teaser of Pushpa 2 has sparked widespread interest about how the movie will turn out. In the teaser, Bunny appeared very powerful and ferocious, giving fans goosebumps with his mass avatar in a goddess getup. A fight scene related to the jatra was specially released for the fans, where Bunny’s walking style and swag were spectacular. The teaser also revealed fight sequences that promise to electrify theaters. The background score provided by Devi Sri Prasad in the teaser sounds next-level. Overall, the teaser has immensely pleased the fans.
When is Pushpa 2 releasing?
The makers have already announced that Pushpa 2 will be released on August 15th this year, coinciding with Independence Day, ensuring a worldwide release. In this film, alongside Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Dhanunjay, Sunil, and Anasuya Bharadwaj are playing key roles. Following the sensational success of ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ in 2021, set against the backdrop of red sandalwood smuggling, high expectations have been set for its sequel, ‘Pushpa 2.’ In this sequel, Rashmika will star as the heroine, and Sunil, Rao Ramesh, Fahadh Faasil, and Anasuya will be seen in significant roles. The film, scored by Devi Sri Prasad, is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
