The most talked-about topic among Indian cinema fans recently has been “RRR to Oscars.” Every national and international publication has hailed this period action movie and discussed its potential for an Oscar nomination. However, the “Film Federation of India” (FFI) recently infuriated RRR supporters with their absurd choice. The FFI chose “Chhello Show” as India’s official Oscar entry instead of “RRR,” which was passed up. The absurd judgement made by the Indian board has shocked moviegoers all around the world. Social media is exploding with criticism of the FFI’s decision.
“RRR” still has a possibility to be nominated for an Oscar in 2022 despite being rejected by the FFI. According to Variety’s media articles, the RRR movie U.S distributor intends to start a marketing campaign for RRR. The film’s distributor in the United States is urging Academy voters to support it across the board. The Academy Streaming Room does not have RRR. The distributor is eager to run an award campaign in light of the positive response the movie garnered on a global scale.
As per ‘RRR’ U.S distributor, “RRR” will be submitted for best picture, director (S.S. Rajamouli), original screenplay (Rajamouli and V. Vijayendra Prasad), lead actor (for both N.T. Rama Rao Jr and Ram Charan), supporting actor (Ajay Devgn), supporting actress (Alia Bhatt), original song (“Naatu Naatu”), original score (M.M. Keeravaani), cinematography, production design, film editing, costume design, makeup and hairstyling, sound and visual effects.
