Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s Ravanasura hit the theaters today (April 7) amid high expectations. After sharing the screen with Megastar Chiranjeevi in Walter Veerayya and scoring a massive hit with Dhamaka, Ravi Teja is back with Ravanasura. The film is a unique addition to the actor’s filmography, featuring Ravi Teja in a role with villainous shades. The promotional posters, trailers, and teasers had already generated immense buzz around the film. So, did Ravanasura live up to the audience’s expectations? Did it deliver another hit for Ravi Teja? What is the movie’s story, and how did Ravi Teja’s performance as a villain fare? Let’s find out.

    Story

Delving into the story of Ravanasura, Ravi Teja plays a junior lawyer named Raveendra, who works under Fariya Abdullah. When justice isn’t served in the courts, he takes matters into his own hands to help the victims. In the process, heroine Megha Akash approaches Ravi Teja and Fariya Abdullah with a case involving her father, Sampath Raj, who has been accused of murder. She seeks their help to unravel the truth behind the accusations. However, a series of murders continue to occur, one after the other. Who is committing these serial killings? What is the motive behind them? What is Ravi Teja’s connection to these murders, and why does his character turn villainous? That forms the crux of the film’s plot.

    Performances

Ravi Teja’s performance is the highlight of this film. He manages to entertain with his comedy in the first half and impresses in a villainous role. Ravi Teja’s negative role takes the movie to another level. Sushant, the young hero, gets a good role after a long time and his portrayal is relatively fresh. He impresses the audience with his acting. Heroines Faria Abdullah, Daksha Nagarkar, Anu Emmanuel, Megha Akash, and Pujita Ponnada have performed well within their boundaries. Additionally, Sampath, Murali Sharma, and Ravi Ramesh’s acting is noteworthy.

    Technically

Director Sudheer Varma has presented this movie in an amazing way. He manages to showcase Ravi Teja’s trademark comedy while also delivering a thrilling experience. Sudheer has utilized Ravi Teja’s acting abilities quite well. However, some scenes in the first half feel dragged. Vijay Karthik’s cinematography is good, with some scenes displaying impressive camera work. The music by Harshavardhan and Bheems is pleasing, particularly the background score, which adds a plus to the movie. Production values are decent, with some scenes appearing rich.

    Plus Points:

    Ravi Teja’s acting

    Heroines’ glamour

    Story

    Background music

    Minus Points:

The first half of the movie

    Stretched situations

In conclusion: After “Waltair Veerayya” and “Dhamaka”  movies, Ravi Teja delivers another decent movie with “Ravanasura.” If you’re looking for a good time pass this weekend, “Ravanasura” is a nice choice.
