Anirudh's Tollywood Takeover: A New Challenge for Thaman and Devi Sri?
Anirudh's Tollywood Takeover: A New Challenge for Thaman and Devi Sri? Anirudh Ravichander is currently creating waves in the South Indian music scene. Originating from Kollywood, this music sensation has gained immense popularity through movies like 'Raghuvaram B.Tech', 'Vikram', 'Jailer', and 'Beast'. His presence guarantees significant hype for the movies. Particularly among the youth, Anirudh's songs and background scores resonate well. Recently, he also delivered a stunning soundtrack for the film 'Devara' starring Tarak, reinforcing the trust placed in him. Although Anirudh has primarily focused on Kollywood until now, it seems he is shifting his focus to Tollywood, sparking discussions about the challenges this poses to local music directors. A Craze in Telugu Cinema! The young music sensation Anirudh has a strong following in Telugu cinema as well. He has directly worked on Telugu films like 'Agnyaathavaasi', 'Jersey', 'Gang Leader', and 'UTurn'. While his music in these films was a hit, there wasn't much discussion about Anirudh in Tollywood. However, with recent films like 'Vikram', 'Jailer', and 'Jawan', his reputation has soared to a Pan-India level. The youth are particularly enamored with his background music. These films being dubbed in Telugu also meant that Anirudh’s music was thoroughly enjoyed by the Telugu audience, who listened to his songs on repeat. Due to the demand from NTR's fans, Anirudh was also brought into the 'Devara' project, as recently disclosed by the makers. A Series of Offers in Tollywood! Following the success of 'Devara', Anirudh's name is being increasingly heard in Tollywood. Telugu audiences are eager to experience his music in theaters once again. Noticing this interest, Telugu filmmakers are showing a keen desire to work with Anirudh. Observing the reception in Telugu cinema, Anirudh has decided to amp up his involvement in Tollywood projects. Reportedly, he has given the green light to 'VD12', a project in collaboration with Vijay Deverakonda and Gowtam Tinnanuri, and has also agreed to score music for an upcoming film by Nani and Srikanth Odela. Other directors are also reaching out to Anirudh for their movies, with talks suggesting he might take on up to half a dozen Telugu projects in the coming days. A Challenge for Thaman and Devi Sri? Music directors Thaman and Devi Sri Prasad have been the top choices in Tollywood for the past few years, typically scoring music for five to eight out of every ten releases. They have been the first two preferences for Telugu directors. However, analysts believe that with Anirudh’s entry, both face stiff competition. Until recently, Anirudh had not prioritized Tollywood, but now that he is focusing on Telugu films, it poses a significant challenge to them. It remains to be seen how Thaman and Devi Sri will fare against the wave of Anirudh's mania. If These Click, Stopping Them is Tough! Thaman is currently composing for a film Game Changer directed by Shankar starring Ram Charan. The songs 'Jaragandi Jaragandi' and 'Ra Macha Macha' have already been released to a positive response. Similarly, Thaman is also scoring for Pawan Kalyan's 'OG', and the song 'Hungry Cheetah' has thrilled Pawan's fans. Meanwhile, Thaman has been chosen as the music director for 'Akhanda 2', a sequel directed by Boyapati featuring Balakrishna. On the other hand, Devi Sri Prasad is handling the music for 'Pushpa 2'. The title song and 'Suseki Aggiravva Madiri' from 'Pushpa' have already amassed millions of views on YouTube. If these projects succeed, it could be tough for anyone to challenge Thaman and Devi Sri’s dominance in the industry.

Pushpa 2 Sets New Benchmark: Four Top Music Directors Collaborate Amid Sukumar’s High Standards! Icon Star Allu Arjun is starring in the much-awaited project 'Pushpa 2,' directed by Sukumar. Movie lovers across the country are eagerly awaiting its release. Devi Sri Prasad, the Telugu rockstar, is composing the music for this pan-India project. However, as the release date approaches and the background score is yet to be completed, renowned music director S.S. Thaman has also joined the project. Along with him, two other top music directors are working hard for 'Pushpa 2.' This has become a hot topic in Tollywood right now, generating a lot of buzz online. Crazy Buzz Over the Background Score It is known that four top music directors are working on 'Pushpa 2.' Recently, at a movie event, Thaman clarified that he, along with others, is working on the film. According to the latest buzz, S.S. Thaman is providing the background music for the action sequences. Devi Sri Prasad is handling the BGM for important fight sequences and emotional scenes. 'Kantara' fame Ajaneesh Loknath is reportedly composing the BGM for a crucial festive episode in the second half. Another composer, Shaam C.S., is said to be scoring the music for several other scenes. Dividing the movie into parts and having four composers is a first in the history of Telugu cinema. Sukumar's Dissatisfaction with Thaman's Work! There's talk in the industry that Thaman has finished his part of the background score and shown it to Sukumar. Shaam C.S. and Ajaneesh Loknath have also completed their assigned work and submitted it to Sukumar. However, it's rumored that Thaman's BGM did not impress Sukumar much, while Sukumar was very pleased with the output from Shaam and Ajaneesh, feeling that they had delivered beyond his expectations. Reports suggest that Sukumar has asked Thaman to rework his portion, not entirely, but to better some parts of it. Thaman is expected to complete this within two days. Another Song Still Pending! A crucial item song featuring Telugu star heroine Sreeleela titled 'Kissick' was recently filmed. It is said that she has performed some impressive dance steps with Allu Arjun. According to the latest buzz, Sukumar is getting ready to shoot a fourth song from November 22. There is speculation in the industry that the shooting for this song is still pending even though the movie is scheduled for release on December 5, causing anxiety among Allu Arjun's fans. They are questioning whether the movie will indeed release on the announced date. Sukumar is now urged to expedite the music work and finish the pending shoot.

'Pushpa 2' movie Review : THE BIGGEST INDIAN BLOCKBUSTER this season! Allu Arjun's Reign Begins Cast Allu Arjun, Rashmika, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Sunil, Anasuya, Rao Ramesh, Dhanunjaya, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Tarak Ponnappa, Ajay, Sritejas, and others Written and Directed by: Sukumar Music: Devi Sri Prasad Cinematography: Miroslaw Kuba Brozek Editing: Naveen Nooli Producers: Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Yalamanchili Production Houses: Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings Release Date: December 5, 2024 Everyone knows what a sensation "Pushpa" (2021) created when it was released with Allu Arjun in the lead role under Sukumar's direction. As a result, its sequel "Pushpa 2" has garnered nationwide attention. The movie features Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead opposite Bunny, while Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil plays the antagonist. The already-released trailer, teaser, promotional materials, and marketing campaigns have significantly raised expectations. The film team also conducted promotions in various major cities across the country, further increasing the hype. The film released worldwide on December 5th in Telugu, Hindi, and several other South Indian languages. So how is "Pushpa 2"? Did it impress the audience? Did it achieve blockbuster success? Let's find out in this review. Story Pushparaj (Allu Arjun), who started his journey as a red sandalwood coolie, rises to become the leader controlling a smuggling syndicate. He expands his syndicate's operations internationally and grows powerful enough to influence politics by funding the ruling party. During this time, his rivalry with SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat (Fahadh Faasil) intensifies. Despite his aggressive nature outside, Pushparaj never disobeys his wife Srivalli (Rashmika). One day, when Pushparaj sets out to meet the Chief Minister with MP Siddappa (Rao Ramesh), Srivalli eagerly asks him to get a photo with the CM. However, when Pushpa makes this request, the CM mocks him. This leads Pushpa to challenge that he will make MP Siddappa the Chief Minister. What does Pushpa do to achieve this? What's his conflict with Central Minister Veera Pratap Reddy (Jagapathi Babu)? What plans does SP Shekhawat devise to stop Pushpa? Does Pushpa keep his promise to Srivalli? The story revolves around these questions. Performances Bunny (Allu Arjun) once again excels as Pushpa Raj. He shows even more impact in terms of language and body language. He mesmerizes in fights and dances. Particularly, his acting in the Jatara episode and climax reaches another level. Rashmika as Srivalli delivers a memorable performance with great chemistry alongside Allu Arjun. Compared to the first part, she's given more glamorous scenes in the sequel. Her performance peaks in many scenes. Sreeleela enchants with the "Kissika" song, dazzling with her dance moves as usual. Fahadh Faasil performs well as Shekhawat, though the character loses some seriousness as the story progresses. Rao Ramesh impresses as the MP. Compared to the first part, Sunil and Anasuya's roles get less prominence. Jagapathi Babu as the Central Minister and Kannada actor Tarak Ponnappa make their presence felt in the story. Jagadeesh appears in a key role as Allu Arjun's friend. The rest of the cast performs adequately within their scope. Direction Compared to the first part, director Sukumar has expanded Pushpa Raj's territory further. He has incorporated his trademark psychological elements and mind games into the story. He keeps the audience energized with hero elevations throughout. Allu Arjun's introduction, the Tom and Jerry fight between Pushpa and Shekhawat, and the strategic moves are well portrayed. Though the story seems to move slowly, the interval bang takes it to another level. While showing Pushpa's business and political empires, the director effectively portrays his affection for Srivalli. The love and chemistry between Pushpa and Srivalli appear cute on screen. In the second half, the Gangamma Jatara episode is the highlight of the movie. Sukumar excellently showcases heroism and family emotions in this episode. The fights and family emotions in the climax are entertaining. However, the lack of strong villainy and excessive runtime can be considered drawbacks. In the crucial scenes, Sukumar has laid the groundwork for "Pushpa 3" with a twist and turn. Technical Aspects Technically, the movie is brilliant, with every department delivering excellent work. Devi Sri Prasad impresses with both songs and background score. Another music director, Sam CS, also captures attention with his background score. Kuba's camera work is a major plus for the movie, grandly capturing every episode. Srikant Vissa's dialogues are engaging. The editing could have been more careful. Mythri Movie Makers' production values are top-notch, with richness visible in every scene. Kanguva Movie Review: Suriya's Epic Tale of Reincarnation, Revenge, and Ancient Battles – A Visual Spectacle Cast: Suriya, Disha Patani, Bobby Deol, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Prakash Raj, K.S. Ravikumar, Harish Uthaman, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, among others. Director: Shiva Music: Devi Sri Prasad Cinematography: Vetri Palaniswamy Editing: Nishaad Yusuf Producers: K.E. Gnanavel, Vamshi Pramod Release Date: 14-11-2024 The Tamil actor Suriya stars in the most anticipated film 'Kanguva,' directed by Shiva. This film, also featuring Bollywood actress Disha Patani and Bobby Deol, is produced by K.E. Gnanavel Raja and Vamshi Pramod with a massive budget of ₹350 crores. Released across India on November 14th, the film aims for box office collections of ₹1000 crores. Let's find out how the film fares and whether it has lived up to the audience's expectations and added another success to Suriya’s account. Plot Francis (Suriya) works as a bounty hunter in Goa, with his girlfriend Disha Patani and friend Yogi Babu assisting him. One day, a child approaches Francis feeling a mysterious connection to him, which he senses might be from a past life. What is this ancient connection with the child that dates back a thousand years? Who really is Kanguva? What battles did he fight as a fierce leader? What threats did his tribe face from the villain (Bobby Deol)? How did Kanguva save his tribe from the villain? To uncover these mysteries, one must watch the movie. Performance Analysis Tamil superstar Suriya has delivered a stellar performance in this film, impressing in both the roles of Francis and Kanguva. The effort he has put into the role of Kanguva is evident on screen, especially during the battle scenes, showcasing his formidable presence. His body language, dialogue delivery, and expression of emotions are all on point. Bobby Deol as the villain has delivered a powerful performance, matching Suriya's intensity. Disha Patani brings glamour to the film, and her chemistry with Francis’s character works well. Comedian Yogi Babu provides comic relief. Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, K.S. Ravikumar, and Harish Uthaman have significant roles and contribute well within their capacities. Direction Director Shiva has crafted 'Kanguva' with a novel storyline. The film starts slowly as it introduces Francis's character and takes time to develop. A small girl enters Francis's life, linking back to a past life, which interestingly steers the plot. From Kanguva’s entry, the true narrative begins. The director has engagingly depicted tribal life and conflicts from a thousand years ago. The twist at the interval raises expectations for the second half, which is filled with twists and action sequences that make the story even more gripping. The climax is sure to give everyone goosebumps. However, the slow-paced narrative and underdeveloped emotions, along with a somewhat weak villain character, might be seen as drawbacks. Technically... On the technical front, all departments have performed well, especially the VFX team, which has provided excellent output for the film. The cinematography is impressive. The music by Devi Sri Prasad is a major asset to the film, with both songs and background score enhancing the cinematic experience. The production values are high, and every scene is richly crafted. Strengths Suriya’s actingAction sequencesMusic Weaknesses Slow-paced narrativeLack of strong emotions Rating by Telugu.yousay.tv: 3/5
